00:00
good morning everybody and welcome to
00:03
marketing your car welcome to the
00:06
marketing in your car podcast where you
00:08
can increase your traffic conversions
00:10
and sales in just 10 minutes a day and
00:13
now here’s your host Russell Brunson hey
00:18
guys and gals and all my friends out
00:20
there still a while since we hung out
00:22
and I apologize but I’ve been traveling
00:24
like crazy and finally getting to a spot
00:27
where i can report back and hang out but
00:29
watch my snapchats and you’ve been
00:31
seeing all the craziness isn’t happening
00:32
so last week it’s kind of last min to
00:35
spur the moment we decided to go to
00:37
Kenya with rural teachers aid and it’s
00:40
usually a 10-day trip but I have an
00:42
event starting tomorrow therefore I
00:44
couldn’t go for 10 days so we thought
00:45
well the trips broken out in two parts
00:47
first part you go and you see the kids
00:48
in the villages and help build the
00:50
schools that kind of stuff and second
00:51
half’s a safari society won’t go to
00:53
Safari we’ll just focus on the first
00:55
half so that’s kind of what what we did
00:58
which was really cool and so uh that was
01:01
where we’ve been so we weren’t supposed
01:04
to go Dylan one of the clip ons
01:06
co-founders supposed to go but then he
01:08
was getting he was working on the new
01:09
editor and just kind of ran out of time
01:10
and didn’t get his shots of stuff so we
01:12
headed in and last minute kind of went
01:14
there so we’ve been doing that so on the
01:16
way there we decided hey we have a
01:18
couple days of the beginning that we do
01:19
have some free time so actually flew to
01:21
Amsterdam for two days and hung out
01:23
there which was cool and I’ve been
01:24
Amsterdam before that’s awesome it’s
01:25
like super quiet like I was rocking
01:28
around like the downtown and there’s no
01:30
cars anywhere it’s mostly Evans on bikes
01:31
i stunk clinic listen like he knows how
01:33
quiet is here like uh which is crazy
01:36
quiet and it was really neat though we
01:38
loved it had a great time did a boat
01:40
tour through all the canals and the
01:42
saudi anne frank house and bunch of
01:43
other cool things i was awesome no to
01:45
kenya and had a chance to hang out with
01:48
these little kids and it was just high
01:51
class time four years ago we went is a
01:52
very emotional powerful experience to
01:54
see these kids and the transformations
01:57
you know the cool things is that the
01:59
village that we spent all of our time in
02:01
lat four years ago we had a chance to go
02:03
back there and see kind of the progress
02:05
and how things had evolved and there’s
02:07
this little girl we’ve been kind of
02:08
helping her name is Jane and we saw her
02:11
for years ago
02:12
you know she’s a little you know thanks
02:13
just 13 or 14 years old and we sponsor
02:16
even sponsoring her and helping her get
02:17
through high school and stuff and just
02:19
amazing to see her her progress and you
02:21
know my wife my wife never really
02:23
connected before so my wife was bawling
02:24
her eyes out seeing here you know it was
02:26
just it was a it was a really neat
02:27
experience and then after that went to a
02:29
new village that was like the most
02:31
beautiful places clift like or dislike
02:33
big huge step up on the mountain looking
02:35
over like this huge Valley and it was
02:37
beautiful but the kids don’t have school
02:39
yet so they just we’re almost finished
02:41
with the school and it was amazing and
02:43
just such a cool experience so one thing
02:47
that you may or may not know is a
02:48
clickfunnels member is it every time you
02:50
build a funnel it goes live a dollar
02:52
goes towards royalty trade and we’re
02:53
always working on that help support
02:55
those guys and build more schools and
02:57
support more children and it’s just
02:59
amazing to see the transformation from
03:00
four years ago tell this week which was
03:02
really cool and then we jumped in a
03:04
plane to head home so we could hardly
03:05
get home we’re just going on monday
03:07
because Ayden’s birthday my little 5 and
03:09
now six-year-old his birthdays on Monday
03:11
so we had everything booked and travels
03:13
we could fly and get home in time for
03:14
his birthday we supposed to get him boys
03:16
egg at three o’clock in the afternoon so
03:17
we’re gonna take him out to dinner and
03:18
then the next day take him to the water
03:20
park so I was the plan unfortunately
03:22
plans are always close to so we get into
03:25
Kenya and they’re like oh the dude who
03:28
is supposed to be flying his plane is
03:29
late so we’re four hours late leaving
03:30
from Kenya which was horrible cuz our
03:32
layover in Amsterdam was two hours so we
03:35
finally Kenya we fly to amsterdam the
03:37
Amsterdam or planes already gone say
03:39
rebook someone that’s like seven hours
03:40
later so waiting forever finally we get
03:44
on that 15 ma’am stirred am too uh where
03:50
we going to oh mini apolis sister
03:53
minneapolis and so we basically we
03:55
missed monday which was kind of sad
03:57
because we miss his birthday but right
03:58
we’ll still be there i get to in the
04:00
morning and we’ll go taking the water
04:01
park on tuesday love the awesome so
04:02
we’re sitting there and then the flight
04:04
course in minneapolis gets delayed you
04:07
know three hours and five hours we’re
04:08
sitting in waiting waiting finally we’re
04:10
about to board and they say oh by the
04:12
way all the pilots have been flying too
04:14
long therefore they cannot fly there for
04:15
flights been canceled oh and by the way
04:17
there’s no flights out tomorrow so you
04:18
gotta wait till Wednesday to leave
04:20
are you freaking kidding me I get on my
04:23
kids birthday ah and we’re just missing
04:25
her kids like crazy it was kind of like
04:27
um home alone I felt like like the mom I
04:31
raced home the Kevin and like every
04:32
little thing possible hiccup that could
04:34
happen was happening so anyway some sin
04:37
there’s like 1030 11 o’clock at night
04:39
and I message Melanie my assistant I was
04:41
like all right all the flights tomorrow
04:43
apparently are booked we need to figure
04:45
out to get home and in the hotel all the
04:47
other things that all the flights are
04:48
cancelled plus there’s no flights
04:50
tomorrow and there’s no hotels available
04:52
thank you kids be so may only went on I
04:55
was able to find a flight that didn’t
04:57
lead till next day like five which got
04:58
home at nine like 940 at night on
05:02
tuesday so mr. our water park dame and
05:04
then she books hotel so he jumped in
05:06
uber head hotel slept hung out all day
05:08
and i got a bunch of work done towards
05:09
the event which is starting tomorrow
05:11
then we get our plane finally we leave
05:14
minneapolis we fly to denver and right
05:17
last leg go home by nine-thirty we get
05:19
our plane at the denver and guess what
05:20
happened yes you are right lightning
05:23
storm there for our flight was delayed
05:25
hey we made it home about ten-thirty
05:27
night finally and i think was 56 total
05:30
hours that we were in airports so that
05:33
was horrible new missile man’s birthday
05:35
but today this morning went celebrates
05:36
birthday got some cool stuff and now i
05:38
entered the office because we have an
05:39
event tomorrow and i got a lot of work
05:42
to before that so that’s kind of
05:44
happening over here so anyway there’s
05:46
like there’s a catch up where we’ve been
05:47
and now now we can start moving forward
05:50
again and keep hanging out so event
05:52
tomorrow i’m excited it’s all of our
05:53
inner circle members and then our old
05:55
Ignite program this is the elastic night
05:57
event ever and so we got a bunch loads
05:58
coming as well i think we are about 100
06:00
people coming or so and i went from kind
06:03
of a concept to you know after spending
06:05
fifty six hours in an airport and
06:08
geeking out and going through as much
06:10
marketing stuff like it consumed during
06:11
that time it’s going to be an amazing
06:13
event like i am crazy excited I
06:15
hand-sketched out I think another like
06:16
40 new sketches and whether the dot-com
06:18
secrets book all new concepts I’m hoping
06:20
praying the Vlad my designer can get
06:22
them all hands and get them all looking
06:24
good today so we can get handouts /
06:26
different oh it’s all running together I
06:30
don’t know if I’ll make it all but
06:31
anyway worst case scenario I’ll just
06:32
reschedule I’ve on a wipe
06:34
order for everybody that’s gonna be
06:36
awesome and it’s actually focusing on
06:38
the new book expert secrets and I’m
06:41
excited for expert secrets i spent we
06:43
should about six months writing it and
06:45
when i was in bear lake last month i
06:47
basically deleted the whole book and
06:48
start over from scratch and the new
06:50
direction this is going i’m really
06:52
really proud of and it’s what this whole
06:54
event is based on so kind of teaching it
06:55
out loud so i can make sure that all the
06:57
pieces make logical sense in my mind
06:59
before we turn into a book which is
07:00
similar i did with dot com seekers book
07:01
rewrote like three times i did a live
07:03
event for three days and then that
07:05
helped me to like organize the thoughts
07:06
in a better way and i can announce
07:08
teaching on stage my house go down
07:09
didn’t make sense i need to tweak this
07:11
and anyway it was really cool so kind of
07:13
the same process this one so if you want
07:15
to write a book that’s the secret throne
07:16
event forces you get with you down in
07:18
time and then let you teach it out loud
07:20
which one I know you might teach out
07:22
loud like I I just get different
07:24
different ideas and thoughts and I
07:28
figure out what makes sense what like
07:30
what’s slow and boring what’s exciting
07:32
and what pieces people get one pieces
07:34
they don’t so anyway that’s what’s
07:36
happening hopefully this book will be
07:37
done before the end of the year if I’m
07:39
really excited for it’s gonna be amazing
07:40
all right that said I got draw some
07:42
value if you guys pray to the office so
07:43
when we were in Amsterdam the second day
07:45
my wife and I were walking around
07:46
downtown walking awesome we get to this
07:48
like he was a parliament or some big
07:50
huge building right wow that building’s
07:52
amazing also here Pam um um like this
07:56
coughing we look over and there’s this
07:57
guy oh the nice shirt on and a
07:59
microphone and he’s coughing he’s coffee
08:01
louder louder louder louder keeps doing
08:04
it and I’ll see what concert can I start
08:06
coming close like what’s happening like
08:07
cute and he had a huge cycle on the
08:09
ground about the boxes a bunch of things
08:11
and it’s flame that was there and so we
08:13
kind of like get close to me he’s
08:15
coughing cough for like five minutes
08:16
Mike this is weird we’re about to leave
08:18
and Austin he stops that everyone I’m
08:20
okay he’s like I just trying to get all
08:21
your eyes attention and then he said
08:23
something I thought was really really
08:24
cool he said he said uh how did he say
08:29
he said something like
08:31
ah a show would you say a show without
08:36
attention it’s just an accident I might
08:38
have screwed that up but I was basically
08:39
that and I thought that’s kind of
08:40
powerful like how many times do we do
08:42
something but no one’s paying attention
08:44
therefore just like an accident it
08:46
really didn’t even happen right it’s on
08:48
our business like are we getting
08:49
attention first you attention first to
08:51
get people pay attention right so i was
08:52
first things i’m watching him and stuff
08:54
that gets attention then he said him and
08:56
start the show and then he goes and
08:57
draws this big huge chalk square around
08:59
and pretty big square it’s always people
09:01
like out further from the square he’s
09:02
okay everyone i come up to the square
09:04
this is the edge come and he gets
09:05
everyone kind of come tourists at him
09:07
closer so he’s getting everybody to move
09:08
towards him so first gets attention
09:11
second gets people to move their
09:12
physical bodies towards him so they’re
09:14
closer and ever gets kind of close
09:15
thanks for watching and um and I was
09:18
watching what he was doing right and the
09:19
show ended up being about 45 minutes
09:21
long and when all said and done I feel
09:23
good all the show was was he juggled
09:26
fire for 30 seconds like that was it but
09:29
it was 45 minutes to build up an
09:30
excitement and building rapport so he
09:31
did all sorts of things to build rapport
09:32
first thing I’d ever pulling close and
09:34
then he started a like and at first he
09:38
tell you but the crowd was cold like
09:40
what’s this guy doing what’s happening
09:41
so he’s got like you could just he could
09:42
have just gone on his unicycle start
09:44
juggling fire and I could’ve been over
09:45
like a minute but if he did that he
09:46
would’ve missed like the whole
09:48
presentation is what made this thing
09:50
work right so get summer together he
09:51
starts talking and start telling jokes
09:53
stars making fun people in the audience
09:54
to get them to laugh he starts getting
09:56
everybody like talking about fires like
09:57
breathe together which breathing is on
09:59
the fastest ways to build rapport so if
10:01
you can match the breathing pattern so
10:02
he’s gonna breathe when like pretend
10:04
like the blowing fires like get everyone
10:06
breathing the same thing which instantly
10:07
builds rapport among everybody right so
10:09
he’s getting to build the build rapport
10:10
I mean all sorts of just the really
10:13
smart thing spilled report his audience
10:14
for making fun of people make for
10:16
himself making fun of I and just give
10:17
you a laughing and like all these things
10:19
to try to get rapport with in this this
10:20
group right so then he starts you know
10:24
he’s telling jokes and everything and
10:25
then he’s trying to like train the
10:28
audience and what needs him to do right
10:29
so he gets on the you on the unicycle
10:30
he’s got basically juggling things he
10:32
gets people throwing jet throwing things
10:34
Tim he’s just he’s training the audience
10:35
on like I’m like what he wants them to
10:37
know how to react right it’s like okay
10:39
when you throw throw this he had to head
10:40
Colette actually take one of these
10:42
juggling batons like it had her like
10:44
throw teams like
10:45
ok know when she throws it to me
10:46
everyone cheering like crazy so he’s
10:47
training the audience and how he wants
10:48
him to respond probably a good 10 15
10:50
minutes right into this whole thing
10:52
training his audience and how he needs
10:53
them how he wants and needs them to
10:54
respawn you know the whole thing he sets
10:56
up this fire thing gets built up than
10:58
anticipated and now probably 30 35
11:00
minutes into it and they said okay this
11:02
is what’s gonna happen you guys and then
11:03
he explains in a minute I’m gonna get on
11:06
that my unicycle we’re gonna write fire
11:07
and we’re gonna juggle this fire right
11:09
it’s like okay this is what we’ve been
11:10
building up towards we’re so excited
11:11
then before dad said look now what’s
11:13
gonna happen and this is where it starts
11:15
asking for money says like and first he
11:16
does this price justification she said
11:18
look I’m a street performance is how I
11:19
make my living you see if you were to go
11:22
to a bar right now and you’re to go
11:23
bye-bye a beer or whatever he’s like
11:26
it’s going to be it’s gonna be about 55
11:28
pounds whatever right it was like and
11:30
that’s going to take you you know maybe
11:31
maybe minute to drink minute and a half
11:32
if you’re taking your time it’s gotten
11:34
perform for you for almost 45 minutes so
11:36
far and he’s like and I would assume
11:38
that that this is worth at least the
11:40
same as just a quick beer in actual
11:42
entertainment value it was like so the
11:43
minimum the minimum donation accepted is
11:46
5 pounds the the maximum is whatever 100
11:50
right and she starts going through he
11:51
does this price justification then he
11:53
keeps explain to the audience how to buy
11:55
which is I was so good I wish I could
11:57
record this whole thing to teach them
11:59
how to buy how to buy how to buy right
12:00
and so like when this is done he’s
12:03
coaching to win this done I’m gonna
12:04
juggle my things fires on the go you
12:06
know juggling fire ever is gonna go
12:07
crazy I’m gonna put my hat out
12:08
everything to come rushed to me and give
12:10
me minimum five pounds up to 35 or
12:12
whatever there’s right and explains and
12:13
coaches and shows him how to pay him
12:15
what you know he’s coaching this whole
12:17
time on the responses you want I was
12:18
coaching him on how to pay him at the
12:19
end she’s just brilliant brilliant and
12:22
then you find does this does think it’s
12:25
on unicycle juggles fire the whole shows
12:27
maybe like a minute long boom gets down
12:30
everyone cheers and then people start
12:32
flooding him in droves to bringing in
12:35
money and every throwing five dollars
12:36
and again he coaches the people start
12:38
walking away he’s like Oh woody gonna be
12:40
a freebie seeger starts calling out the
12:41
people who just who just basically came
12:43
and like a witness it and then ran away
12:46
so he calls those people out so they
12:47
feel kind of dumb then everyone else
12:49
doesn’t you know like oh I don’t to be
12:50
called out like I can’t leave this
12:51
because this guy just perform for the
12:53
last 45 minutes and they felt this
12:54
obligation of pain and initially I
12:57
probably given maybe like one
12:59
or whatever that is I think it’s pounds
13:01
there anyway because I felt albeit like
13:03
five I was like okay 85 s like we can we
13:06
get fired get five and look at this
13:07
process but all said and done he
13:08
probably made I don’t know a couple
13:10
thousand pounds like it wasn’t
13:12
impressive and then I everyone just
13:15
displaced and he started acting up his
13:16
stuff and then he took off and and it
13:19
was just cool there’s so many cool
13:20
marketing lessons one was getting
13:22
attention number two is building rapport
13:25
number three is training your audience
13:27
on what you want and need them to do
13:29
number five was priced justification
13:31
number six was the actual show number
13:34
seven was a call to action to get people
13:35
to come back in and pay number eight
13:38
would probably be calling out those who
13:43
didn’t take action and the number nine
13:46
was wrapping up the show so anyway so
13:48
many cool marking lessons in 1 i’m told
13:50
