00:07
entrepreneurs are using to make more
00:09
sales dominate their markets and how you
00:12
can get those same results here is your
00:14
host dave woodward hey everybody welcome
00:18
to funnel hacker radio i’m your host
00:19
dave wood wood i’m super super super
00:21
excited thing because i’ve got a great
00:23
friend and a guy i’ve been trying to get
00:25
on here but he’s been way too busy and
00:27
want to welcome at this point Andrew
00:30
O’Brien Andrew welcome welcome welcome
00:32
thank you for having me on the show
00:34
really appreciate it Oh andrew is a I
00:37
came to get to know you in such a weird
00:40
way and I just want people to understand
00:42
kind of a background here because you
00:43
have to understand it in my position
00:45
with click funnels and charge of all the
00:47
business development well I’m always
00:48
trying to find different ways of
00:49
bringing in top-line revenue and in
00:51
doing that one of the things we were
00:52
looking at was PR and andrew is the PR
00:55
guy but I didn’t even know that in fact
00:58
what I was struggling with the time was
00:59
I was going out literally getting ahold
01:02
of four or five different Silicon Valley
01:05
startup type of PR companies and I had
01:10
probably three or four just crazy
01:11
requests and I can’t understand forklift
01:13
funnels at our size we were looking to
01:15
spend anywhere between about fifteen to
01:17
twenty thousand dollars a month on PR
01:19
and as I was out there getting these
01:21
proposals they were just astronomically
01:23
stupid I was like you got to be kidding
01:25
me we’re gonna spend twenty thousand
01:27
dollars a month and we might get a pot
01:29
we might get a note here or lake there
01:32
I’m like you got to be kidding me and
01:34
like the first three months of the
01:36
engagement was all going to be
01:38
fact-finding and like that’s just gotta
01:40
be another way and just literally out of
01:42
fate what ends up happening is I’m
01:44
sitting there talking with Russell
01:45
Russell I I’m struggling I can’t I don’t
01:47
like what we’re seeing there’s got to be
01:49
some better way and he goes Dave you’re
01:51
not gonna believe I literally just got
01:52
pinged by a guy I’ve known but didn’t
01:54
know exactly what he did and he’s
01:56
willing to put together a great offer
01:58
for us at clickfunnels and he’s actually
02:02
wants to basically proved to us that he
02:04
can do it but you have to understand
02:06
from Russell was when a guy
02:08
says hey Russell want to prove to you
02:09
that I can do this I mean that’s just
02:11
like music to his ears because he’s as
02:13
you all know Russell’s a huge believer
02:15
and making sure that you provide value
02:17
first and so Andrew was the guy to
02:19
provide value and this was right before
02:21
a funnel hacking live event and so
02:24
literally at the funnel hacking live it
02:26
was the first time I met you Andrew and
02:27
you basically said hate Dave you know
02:28
what would you think about us pulling
02:31
together just basically kind of like a
02:34
mini conference and many publicity
02:36
conference right here we’ll ask all the
02:37
people in the audience who has lakes or
02:39
who has contacts and all of a sudden we
02:41
had I don’t know what you put together
02:42
seven or eight guys who all were writers
02:44
for major Corp companies and publicity
02:47
outlets and sure enough I mean andrew
02:50
has gotten us more publicity than I ever
02:53
could have paid for literally spending
02:55
hundreds and hundreds of thousands
02:56
dollars with any of the Silicon Valley
02:58
startup type of PR companies I cannot
03:00
rave enough about and I mean if anyone
03:04
ever asks if they should use the average
03:05
services it’s an instant yes I mean it’s
03:07
you’d been absolutely idiot not to but
03:10
again this isn’t the it’s not as much
03:11
promotion for Andrew but I want to make
03:13
sure before we get started if you’re
03:14
even thinking about PR this is the guy
03:17
so with all that said Andrew let’s jump
03:19
right into this because I I love all the
03:22
stuff we were talking about as far as
03:23
before hands far some of the stuff we’re
03:24
going to say why do people even need
03:26
media exposure but before we do that I
03:29
want I’ve been talking too much here I
03:31
want to kind of let you give some back
03:33
story and kind of feel that everyone in
03:34
so they kind of get to really know who
03:35
you are well great and Dave thank you so
03:39
much for all the positive things that
03:41
you said on there so i got into media
03:44
for one big reason so I come from a
03:45
crazy crazy background my life involved
03:48
being a child I was raised by prostitute
03:51
mother so I went through a lot threw him
03:52
out my childhood a lot of poverty a lot
03:54
of trauma trauma got out of that went
03:57
into a goddess when teenage years did it
04:00
made a lot of mistakes with drugs and
04:01
alcohol then I went from there to join
04:03
the army and all this is leading into
04:06
was vessel it into building my
04:08
successful business but I joined the
04:10
army I served a year in Iraq as a lead
04:12
runner I came home in a year later I
04:14
actually tried to take my own life and
04:16
the reason was because of all the
04:18
traumatic things I had experienced
04:19
throughout my life
04:20
and whenever I got out of the army i
04:22
realized that other veterans were taking
04:25
their own life and i wanted to go out
04:27
there and help change that so i started
04:28
speaking and sharing my story of
04:30
overcoming trauma and and everything
04:32
that i did and what I realized is I
04:35
wasn’t getting on enough stages and so
04:37
I’ve created a YouTube video and I sent
04:40
it to a couple of news outlets now when
04:41
I sent to the news outlets it went viral
04:43
and it got picked up by Associated Press
04:45
and to this day I brought it down over
04:48
70 global news stations for my own
04:52
mission whenever I was doing my public
04:53
speaking and what I realized in that
04:55
time was that media exposure can do so
04:59
much for a business and it’s just the
05:01
fact that you know media is always so
05:04
negative when my story was positive yeah
05:06
I was about my trauma but it was about
05:07
overcoming that and so you know I got a
05:10
little two-minute section in the news
05:11
feature that it’s an hour of negative
05:14
and I got my two little minutes are
05:15
positive in there but I realized during
05:18
that time we got more speaking
05:19
engagements by being on the media and
05:21
that’s what led into me building this
05:23
company and doing what I’m doing today I
05:25
love it again you have to understand
05:28
where he’s coming from and you got a
05:30
whole podcast or blog at Leith it’s got
05:32
all your story on there and I get a ton
05:34
of media covered about a story the great
05:36
thing about andrew is the most
05:37
down-to-earth guy you will ever meet
05:39
yeah he understands the importance of
05:41
media really for helping not only the
05:44
business but also the funnel itself
05:46
that’s kind of one things that Andrew
05:47
now wanted to share with you guys today
05:49
and that is obviously as you anyone has
05:52
looked at marketing understands the
05:54
importance of social proof in Andrew you
05:56
know one of things we were talking
05:56
before we started the recording here was
05:58
how many bogus internet marketer out
06:01
there putting 0 as seen on here or seen
06:04
on there and they really aren’t how do
06:06
you what’s your recommendation how do
06:08
people overcome that and how do you get
06:10
really really good social proof in
06:12
addition to that what is the value to
06:14
social proof for your funnel in your
06:16
business yeah so when you’re working on
06:19
putting social proof on your phone the
06:20
most important thing is not just the
06:22
image a lot of people focus on as seen
06:25
on Austin or ink and fours and that’s
06:27
great having those pictures on those
06:28
logos on your website if it’s true
06:30
that’s even better but the problem is
06:32
there’s a lot of internet marketers
06:33
there that are putting fluff they’re
06:36
lying about it and just putting the
06:37
badge on their website because they’re
06:39
on some backlink of some random random
06:41
website or whatever so what I tell
06:44
people is if you put the link if you put
06:46
that badge you put the image of it up
06:48
there make sure that that there’s a link
06:50
on the funnel where they can actually
06:51
physically go to that article and read
06:53
about you they can see you quoted on
06:55
that news outlet because that is going
06:57
to build trust right now I know I’m on
06:59
facebook all day every day and all I’m
07:01
seeing is these 22 year olds who talked
07:03
about how they’re so rich because
07:05
they’re in Bali and they’re throwing
07:07
wads of one’s around and so it’s just
07:09
there’s a lot of fluff going on out
07:12
there so what you want to do is build
07:13
that trust and prove to your audience
07:15
especially your cold audience that
07:16
doesn’t know you that hey I’m not just
07:18
Joe from the corner I’ve been recognized
07:20
for my work and here’s my proof here’s
07:22
how you click click on this link to read
07:25
the article that was written about me
07:26
here in ink or enforce or an
07:28
entrepreneur or wherever it is that’s
07:30
fantastic so that’s how you’re going to
07:32
get social proof if you have those types
07:34
of things so and what happens when a
07:36
person doesn’t have that how do they go
07:38
about getting that I mean obviously they
07:40
can hire someone as great as you but if
07:42
they if they can’t afford that and they
07:43
don’t want to go that direction how does
07:45
a person go out and actually get media
07:47
exposure I mean you did it without
07:49
hiring you right what recommendations
07:50
would you have so I want to tell
07:53
everybody the perfect step is going to
07:55
work wonders for you go to your Facebook
07:57
page your personal Facebook page that
07:59
should be filled with entrepreneur
08:00
friends or business owner friends and
08:03
put up a post on your Facebook page
08:05
saying hey I’ve got a story I’d love to
08:07
share if any of you write for
08:08
large-scale media outlets reach out to
08:10
me I want to tell you more and I promise
08:13
you just that one simple post will get
08:14
you at least Im huffington post okay
08:17
once you if I want you to rephrase i
08:19
want you to restate that because i’m
08:20
sure people won’t be taking notes on
08:21
that that was a fantastic fantastic
08:23
value bomb drop right there what’s it
08:26
one more time swords what they need to
08:27
post it okay so you go on to your
08:30
personal Facebook page and you write a
08:31
post status update and you say hey guys
08:34
I’ve got an amazing story I’d like to
08:36
share it in the media to help spread my
08:38
message if you can reach out to me and
08:40
if you write for a large-scale media
08:42
outlet i tell you what i’ll give you
08:44
this story and I’ll help bring more even
08:46
more
08:46
audience on this article to help you get
08:48
exposure drop the mic boom what else
08:53
what are the types of things should to
08:54
be doing so it’s always always stop
08:58
talking about your business and start
09:00
talking about you that’s the most
09:01
important thing I tell people it’s not
09:02
about your business media outlets want
09:05
to hear from the person behind the
09:06
business not just the business people
09:08
buy from you and not your business you
09:11
first your business second obviously if
09:12
provide value you have to worth it but
09:14
they want to know who you are and and so
09:16
when you’re reaching out to the media
09:17
outlets make it more of a story about
09:19
how you went to bankruptcy and then now
09:22
you’re a millionaire or if you don’t
09:23
have that extreme of the story get that
09:25
intense parts of your story and share
09:27
that with these writers and the number
09:28
one thing is do not go after staff
09:30
writers go after contributors now
09:33
there’s a reason staff writers are
09:35
employees they’re employed by the media
09:37
outlet contributors are always
09:40
entrepreneurs that contribute to that
09:41
magazine it is much easier to get an
09:44
entrepreneur to write about to then an
09:45
employee mindset person to write about
09:47
you man you just dropping bombs left and
09:50
right so how does how do they find
09:52
contributors weird how do you get all
09:53
these people what you do is you go on to
09:56
let’s say you want to be an entrepreneur
09:57
you go on to entrepreneur and then the
09:59
search tab you put in keywords that
10:01
match with whatever you do whether it’s
10:03
with real estate or online courses or
10:06
social media whatever it is whatever the
10:08
keywords are in your business put those
10:11
in find out who writes about that topic
10:12
and you can actually go on and see their
10:15
portfolio and on their portfolio
10:17
entrepreneur sometimes they’ll be
10:18
actually the direct email address
10:20
sometimes it won’t be but there’ll be
10:22
their Facebook or their Twitter or their
10:24
LinkedIn there’s always some way of
10:26
contacting them and use whatever way is
10:28
available to you and reach out to them
10:30
if they if you know they write on your
10:31
beat on your and the beat and the media
10:34
world means like your niche your market
10:35
if they write on your topic then there’s
10:38
more they’re most likely to write about
10:40
you than anyone else don’t just blow up
10:42
every contributor entrepreneur com find
10:44
the one that actually writes about your
10:45
service fantastic so now they’ve got
10:49
opportunity going out there getting
10:51
these type things how do you use that to
10:53
really build trust tetek Trust is one of
10:55
the most important parts in a funnel or
10:57
even your business these days because
10:59
they
10:59
so many opportunities out there and we
11:01
joke around about it all the time that
11:02
is the hardest thing is getting the
11:04
first dollar from a prospect once you
11:07
get that first dollar the additional
11:09
dollars come and it’s really building
11:11
that trust to get that first dollar so
11:12
how do you use that all the media
11:14
exposure to actually build the trust you
11:15
get that first dollar so what I tell
11:18
everybody is when they’re doing these
11:19
articles and they’re doing these
11:21
interviews with these writers you always
11:22
want to make sure you dropping bombs or
11:25
dropping value into these articles
11:26
immediate action steps they can take and
11:29
see a difference in their business right
11:31
away so don’t give away your top secret
11:34
but give away enough steps to where
11:36
they’re like wow this actually worked I
11:38
need to reach out to this guy I need to
11:39
follow this guy or this girl or whatever
11:41
it is and what you want to make sure to
11:44
do is you want to share these media
11:46
features all over the place because what
11:48
a lot of people do is they’ll get on
11:50
Forbes and then they’ll share it once
11:51
and then they leave it alone so I always
11:54
tell people if you’re going to be on
11:55
force and you really want that to help
11:57
you don’t expect to be on Forbes in the
11:59
maker mass amount of sales reason is
12:01
because force has 1,800 contributors
12:04
that right for them that means that on
12:06
any given day there are hundreds among
12:08
hundreds of articles going live so
12:11
instead of just expecting you to get
12:13
some leads from that create facebook ads
12:15
and target that that article and then
12:18
pixel that audience and then retarget
12:20
that audience with an ink article and
12:21
then pixel that audience retarget that
12:23
audience with a Forbes article so
12:25
instead of retargeting them with your
12:26
funnel or retargeting them into a sales
12:28
process retarget them with another media
12:31
feature because if every time they log
12:32
into Facebook they see your face on a
12:34
media outlet that starts to build that
12:36
trust with your audience and then
12:37
they’re very intrigued and most likely
12:39
to convert on your funnel oh man that’s
12:41
awesome idea great idea so as as you’ve
12:45
had this opportunity of working with
12:46
contributors and working with different
12:48
different media outlets as a business
12:51
what are some of the ones how do you
12:53
find out what is the best media outlet
12:55
for me again if I’m real estate where
12:57
should I go if I sell quilts where
12:58
should I go I mean how do I know what’s
13:00
if i’m selling quilts forbes probably
13:03
doesn’t mean that much to me how do i
13:04
find out what are the best media outlets
13:06
for me in my business so you always just
13:09
want to do Google is a powerful tool so
13:11
I always google web
13:13
is the most people read this type of
13:14
thing so if I’m a business that serves
13:16
entrepreneurs I want to be in front of
13:18
entrepreneurs so I want to be on things
13:19
like entrepreneurs Inc business inside
13:21
of those types of things if I’m in real
13:23
estate I want to find the top real
13:25
estate magazine so what are the top 5
13:26
real estate magazines and just google it
13:29
and those are the ones you go after you
13:30
google the top magazine is the top media
13:33
outlets the top pages websites blogs
13:35
whatever it is that writes on your niche
13:38
on your market and then you reach out to
13:40
them and get them to do it and the one
13:42
thing that I tell everybody so the
13:43
reason we’ve had so much success we’ve
13:45
done really well we’ve gotten our people
13:47
in Fast Company auction or business
13:49
inside of success adweek all over the
13:52
place and the reason we get so many
13:53
results is because when we talk to these
13:55
contributors and this is one of our top
13:57
secrets i’m giving away right now is
13:59
when we talk to these contributors i
14:01
tell them hey if you write about this
14:03
client what this client is then going to
14:05
do is he’s going to create a Facebook ad
14:06
and he’s going to target your article
14:09
what does that do for you it’s going to
14:10
bring more of an audience into your
14:12
article what does that mean for you it
14:13
means as you as a contributor I know
14:15
you’re not to know where you’re trying
14:16
to get your name out there so my client
14:18
is spending his marketing dollars to
14:19
help you get your name out there by
14:21
creating a Facebook ad and bring in paid
14:23
traffic to your article and stead of
14:24
just their organic traffic and dropping
14:27
them left and right bud awesome so tell
14:30
me as far as other types of media I mean
14:32
we’ve talked about Forbes talk about all
14:34
these other types of things what take
14:37
for example like a podcast is there
14:39
value of being on a podcast or being a
14:41
guest blog post rider or do I just need
14:44
to is the only real media I should be
14:46
looking at are just other people writing
14:48
about me what what things what are the
14:49
types things can i do to get media
14:50
exposure if the if I can’t get a
14:53
contributor riding on me yes I tell
14:55
everybody any form of publicity is good
14:57
publicity so whether it’s a podcast
14:59
whether it’s a blog I don’t care if the
15:00
podcast has to listeners because here’s
15:02
the thing is what happens for example
15:05
with me my first news Ali I was on was
15:07
Fox News Austin the second news Ali I
15:10
was on was austin american-statesman the
15:11
local newspaper here in austin texas and
15:14
what happened is I kept doing the small
15:16
ones and local TV and local TV and then
15:18
as I started doing the small ones the
15:20
bigger one started contacting me so I’ve
15:22
been on things like MSNBC
15:25
USA Today al-jazeera Huffington Post all
15:28
these major large-scale news outlets TV
15:31
that I’ve been on they contacted me I
15:33
didn’t contact them they contacted me
15:35
because being on this much media it
15:38
actually boosts your SEO so you’re able
15:40
to be found before your competitors and
15:44
reporters writers they research people
15:46
who they want to quote who they want to
15:47
get in touch with to comment on stories
15:49
if you’re the first one that pops up
15:51
when they’re researching they don’t have
15:52
a lot of time to do this research
15:53
they’re just looking for someone quick
15:55
and so that helps so now another tip is
15:58
make sure you create a media page and
16:00
you link back to every news outlet every
16:03
podcast every blog that you’ve been
16:05
mentioned in because that boosts your
16:06
SEO that’s awesome so is that media page
16:11
part of your of your business page is it
16:13
part of a facebook where do you put that
16:15
meeting page it’s on your websites
16:18
actually on your website so for if
16:19
people one example they can go to the
16:21
publicity guide com / media and that’s
16:25
that’s where your media pages so it’s a
16:27
media page where they can see previous
16:29
features that you’ve been on and they
16:30
can contact you if they want to feature
16:32
you in a news outlet awesome the other
16:35
thing that you are just fantastic at I
16:37
hope everyone else is catching on to
16:38
this and that is you speak in sound
16:41
bites and I love talking you an
16:43
interview and you is really a lot of fun
16:44
because you know exactly what you’re
16:46
trying to get out so how do you train
16:48
someone to speak in the sound bites I
16:49
can tell you as a podcast host sometimes
16:52
I can’t get some put a person to shut up
16:54
because they just ramble and ramble and
16:56
ramble ramble ramble I can’t find
16:57
anything that’s really a good quote to
17:00
even use on the on our podcast page or
17:02
to post in Twitter so how do you teach
17:05
people to speak in sound bites so all
17:08
you have to do is realize when someone
17:10
asks a question instead of beating
17:12
around the bush and working your way
17:13
around that question just get straight
17:15
to the point and that’s going to make
17:16
everybody have your podcast host riders
17:19
whatever it is because we get so excited
17:21
about our business we get so passionate
17:22
that we get I can stay here and talk
17:24
about in business for five hours with
17:26
someone no problem I probably do 24
17:28
hours straight but I know that people
17:30
just want value and I just want to
17:32
provide that value immediately and then
17:34
that way if people have more questions
17:35
they can ask more questions they want to
17:37
dig in deeper to an answer that
17:39
if they have the opportunity to dig and
17:41
deeper but to provide that immediate
17:42
value then let them dig in deeper where
17:44
they want to dig in deeper awesome that
17:47
was perfect i should like maybe when we
17:50
do this all I’ll redub that edit that
17:52
and show them exactly how you did that
17:53
that was awesome so people understand
17:55
the key here is doing exactly what
17:57
Android just did that is answer the
17:58
question be direct and then let someone
18:01
else basically on ask the follow-up
18:03
question so follow-up question that is
18:04
so how do I can what’s the best way of
18:07
getting practice for that kind of stuff
18:08
do I just start speaking in to do i do
18:12
Facebook live to get practice I mean
18:13
what’s what’s a good way for a person to
18:15
get practice doing sound bites so I
18:18
always say get in front of a computer in
18:20
front of that camera whether it’s on
18:21
Facebook live Skype or you’re just
18:23
recording yourself talking to yourself
18:25
it may sound weird it may feel weird but
18:28
doing that over and over and over again
18:29
will help give you the practice or get a
18:31
friend on the phone or someone that you
18:33
work with and just have them judge you
18:36
and tell you where you need to work on
18:38
things and just keep doing that over and
18:39
over again so you feel very confident
18:41
and able to do it so just practice makes
18:43
perfect love it Dow we actually looked
18:45
at doing it kind of some that stuff for
18:47
our frequently asked questions where it
18:49
basically have went out and add a friend
18:52
like you just suggested had a friend ask
18:53
us the frequently asked question and
18:55
then responded in a sound bite basic or
18:57
tried to to get that response out
18:59
without rambling and everything else so
19:01
very very cool what tell me is as you
19:04
get all these types of experience Andrew
19:06
what what are some of the things that
19:08
you’ve learned that maybe I haven’t
19:11
asked the right question to get it out
19:12
again what would be some of the other
19:14
things you want to make sure that the
19:15
listeners at funnel hacker radio are
19:17
getting what would what would be some
19:19
other things who are you know business
19:20
owners who are new trying to figure out
19:22
this whole thing what should they be
19:23
looking at so the most important thing
19:25
that I tell everybody is there are so
19:27
many different marketing sales funnels
19:29
are obviously a core part of your
19:30
business social media direct response
19:34
marketing there’s all types of tools out
19:36
there and the most important thing is
19:38
combine them all together in one as like
19:41
a piece of art if you combine it the
19:43
right way you’re able to give more more
19:45
clients more sales more whatever you’re
19:49
looking for you’ll get more of if you
19:51
find out how to
19:52
form that art piece the correct way for
19:54
your business the most important thing
19:56
that I realize does a lot of people
19:58
don’t realize the value of publicity and
20:00
I you know it doesn’t matter whether you
20:02
use me or not or you go out and get it
20:03
on your own what matters that publicity
20:05
really does help your company if you use
20:07
it along with your direct response
20:09
marketing your cells one of those things
20:11
like that I will tell you the biggest
20:12
mistake anyone makes when they’re doing
20:14
when they’re talking about publicity is
20:16
they’ll go and they’ll do this interview
20:18
arash Norcom and then the writer will
20:21
link to their website that’s the biggest
20:23
mistake that you can do I’m on the sales
20:25
funnel podcast what do you think I’m
20:27
going to say to link to link to a sales
20:30
funnel where people have to opt in for
20:32
something linked to a sales funnel so
20:34
that way they have to opt in and you can
20:36
actually capture the audience that’s
20:37
reading that article if you link them to
20:39
your website where maybe you have a
20:41
little pop-up or a way that they can
20:43
contact you it’s not going to be as
20:45
strong but if you link them to a sales
20:46
funnel where they can come in and get a
20:48
free book and just pay shipping or
20:49
whatever it is if you link them to that
20:52
that’s how you actually capture that
20:54
audience that’s reading the article very
20:57
very cool so if a person wants to get
20:59
ahold of you have what’s the best way
21:01
they can contact me at B publicity guide
21:04
com and all of our contact information
21:06
is right up there that’s fantastic so
21:09
when a person is looking at social media
21:11
versus some of the other other types of
21:15
media out there whether it would be on
21:17
magazines and things like that what’s
21:19
that is there more value on the social
21:20
media is there more value on the other
21:22
or is all the same but what matters most
21:25
I think there’s equal values on both
21:28
sides I think social media is very
21:29
important it’s very important to have a
21:30
strong social media presence if you want
21:32
media exposure because people want to
21:34
see that you’re getting your name out
21:35
there but what I tell people the
21:38
difference is is think about if you
21:41
write about yourself or someone else
21:42
writes about you what do you think is
21:43
going to do better because it sounds
21:45
better when someone else is writing
21:46
about you and bragging on you and
21:48
talking about you then you stood there
21:49
talking about yourself and bragging on
21:50
yourself if it’s coming from someone
21:52
else’s mouth it’s always more it’s just
21:54
like the marketing word of mouth word of
21:56
mouth is always gonna be the best
21:57
marketing out there that’s how I’ve
21:58
grown my business and that’s what media
22:02
exposure is this word of mouth marketing
22:05
that that word of mouth marketing again
22:07
we cannot express the importance of that
22:09
I can tag I did another podcast earlier
22:12
today on our high ticket sales funnel
22:14
and our whole page is based off of me if
22:17
you take a look at our high ticket sales
22:18
funnel the entire funnel is based off of
22:21
third party someone else talking about
22:24
Russell talking about his success
22:26
talking about this program you don’t
22:27
even see Russell until you get to the
22:29
second page in the phone and so that
22:32
that word of mouth marketing again
22:33
obviously as a media guy you’ve been
22:35
around that forever but I think too
22:37
often people want to always be out there
22:38
talking about themselves there’s nothing
22:40
better then if you can get a testimonial
22:42
or you can get someone else to to
22:45
basically speak for you or on your
22:46
behalf that is huge huge opportunity for
22:49
you so tell me how important our
22:51
testimonials when I’m contacting the
22:53
media outlet is that something I need to
22:54
have first before I contact them that
22:57
point because the media wants to know
22:58
that you’re not some fluffing internet
23:01
marketer either they want to know that
23:02
they can trust you and other than you
23:05
telling them that they can trust you is
23:06
hearing your from someone else’s mouth I
23:07
know for example I have a video
23:09
testimonial from a russell brunson I
23:11
have that all over the place because I
23:13
want people to hear from a well-known
23:15
person’s mouth that look I’m good at
23:17
what I do and here’s someone else saying
23:19
I’m good at what I do instead of me
23:20
saying it to you and that helps me on
23:23
every aspect of my business not just
23:25
publicity so I definitely feel like
23:26
testimonials are very key to your
23:28
business from anyone whether it’s a big
23:31
known person or just some entrepreneur
23:34
just getting started any kind of
23:35
testimonial will help in publicity great
23:38
so our video testimonials better than
23:39
then written one or I mean what should I
23:42
be trying to get I like video
23:44
testimonials myself because this someone
23:47
talking our camera it kind of feels more
23:49
personable it feels more real because
23:51
here’s the thing is anyone I can sit
23:53
there and write a fake testimonial and
23:54
quote some random person I didn’t write
23:56
it you know that’s easy but a video I
23:59
can’t I can’t make your fake video with
24:01
a fake person that doesn’t own a real
24:03
business so how do you go about getting
24:05
video testimonials from clients I know
24:08
I’ve got a lot of business owner said
24:09
all I’ve got all these testimonials but
24:10
I’m real I just don’t I feel bad asking
24:13
them for how do you get a video
24:14
testimonial oh god I am the last person
24:18
was bad for asking anything so I always
24:21
I’m always very transparent with what I
24:22
need because my clients are happy with
24:24
me so I know they’re happy with me and
24:26
if I thought your fines not happy with
24:28
me that I don’t want a testimonial from
24:29
them so I’m not going to ask you but if
24:32
I know that you with me if I’m one of
24:33
the ask for a written testimony also hey
24:35
can you just hop on the camera for two
24:36
minutes real quick and just say a few
24:38
sound bites about what you thought about
24:40
on business it’s not a problem asking
24:42
your clients if they’re happy with you
24:43
they will be more than willing to go out
24:45
and make a video testimonial for you
24:46
because I do that for people that I pay
24:49
for services I have no problem doing
24:50
that if I’m happy with them it’s awesome
24:53
and r you always are dropping value
24:55
bombs left and right and I’m sure people
24:57
are smart they will be listening to
24:58
podcast two or three times to take an
25:00
extensive notes but anything else you
25:02
want to share before we wrap things up I
25:04
think that’s it biggest thing is go out
25:06
there and get your message out in any
25:08
form possible whether it’s blog podcasts
25:10
large-scale media small skill me or
25:12
whatever you can do get your name out
25:14
there awesome and again how do they get
25:16
a whole deal it’s the publicity guide
