00:00
welcome to funnel hacker radio podcast
00:02
where we go behind the scenes and
00:05
uncover the tactics and strategies top
00:07
entrepreneurs are using to make more
00:09
sales dominate their market and how you
00:12
can get those same results here is your
00:14
host Dave Woodward welcome air when the
00:18
funnel hacker radio again I’m your host
00:19
Dave wood Rabi opportunities having been
00:21
slingin with me today he is the owner
00:24
and basically author and developer of
00:26
the five-minute mark podcast honestly
00:29
one of the craziest coolest things out
00:30
there I love what you’re doing Dennis
00:32
and I the great things you have this is
00:34
going to be I try to keep these like 25
00:36
30 minutes I’m have to get jam-packed in
00:38
there because you’ve got so much crazy
00:39
content and all that the crushin is so
00:41
I’m so proud of you man just awesome
00:43
thanks yeah it’s really exciting to have
00:46
a podcast and of course I’m a big funnel
00:48
hack of myself and taking my shirt off
00:52
there and yeah so it’s really fun I’m
00:54
really excited to kind of combine the
00:56
two - right I mean podcasting funnels
00:58
it’s awesome
01:00
it’s so awesome yeah so tell me about
01:01
Cody dawg so Cody dog is the parent
01:04
company for the five-minute barked
01:05
podcast so Cody dog interactive was a
01:08
interactive website company where we
01:10
created basically websites and I kind of
01:13
veered away from that and got into the
01:15
podcasting because it’s way funner right
01:16
it’s so much more exciting to be doing
01:19
podcast and talking to people like
01:20
yourself so I kind of you know I still
01:22
do some on referral but basically I got
01:26
a client that calls me I say I only do
01:27
click funnels so I don’t do any kind of
01:29
coding anymore anything like that and
01:31
you know essentially you can really
01:32
build a regular website in in clip
01:34
funnels nowadays - so it’s pretty simple
01:36
so free well yeah I’m really excited
01:39
just about first of all you got a really
01:40
cool studio going on - I think you’re
01:43
looking at my office and we’re in the
01:44
process right now to build the street of
01:46
loo right next door with drop downs and
01:48
everything else and I’m going up I was
01:49
going to wait till we had had that
01:51
before I went video and like you know
01:52
what Dennis is like the bomb out there
01:54
when it comes to podcasting so I thought
01:56
I’d learn from you as I’m going through
01:57
all this myself so I’m pretty excited
02:00
well you know I guess I’m one of the
02:02
original video and all this pie serums
02:05
or there’s other ones but video and
02:06
audio podcasts so we do podcasts
02:09
obviously through audio on iTunes and
02:11
then video on YouTube but I also kind of
02:13
create
02:13
little trailers for people like little
02:15
promo videos they can use to promote
02:17
their podcast because you know with
02:18
social media you kind of need to give
02:20
some some sort of twist to people to go
02:22
forward with so I’ve been doing that for
02:24
the people so it’s pretty cool yes I’m
02:27
really excited about that we’ve again I
02:29
Russell I is Stephen and John let
02:32
expected the morning today kind of
02:34
collector we just did a huge three-hour
02:36
Facebook live expert secrets masterclass
02:38
thing kind of patterned after Brendan
02:40
bouchard’s 7 days product launch and
02:42
it’s been fascinating to me it’s just
02:45
seeing how important different media’s
02:47
are when it comes to list building and
02:49
content generation and it’s just on
02:52
today it’s one of those things that we
02:54
started I started off at least with the
02:55
whole idea
02:56
everything was email and I’ve we’re
02:58
going so far from that right now from
03:00
the social stuff in the podcasting and
03:02
having a platform is I’ve been amazed I
03:04
mean we’re I’ve nowhere near your size
03:06
is part you know download we’re you know
03:08
25 30 thousand downloads a month right
03:10
now so not at the level you’re at but
03:12
it’s been one of those things that’s
03:13
been fascinating for me to see the
03:16
personality if you’re able to create
03:17
your podcast I’ll run into people like
03:19
hey you’re the guy on I know you video
03:23
yeah now with the idea of adding video
03:25
to it so tell me how you kind of started
03:27
off with the video cut I guess you’re
03:29
really gonna be my first episode most
03:30
likely of a video will have on YouTube
03:33
on our funnel hacker TV so cool yeah so
03:36
basically I recently started doing
03:38
videos because well the bandwidth is
03:40
there now you know I mean the only
03:42
reason podcast didn’t have videos
03:43
because a bandwidth just wasn’t strong
03:45
enough and you couldn’t carry it around
03:46
your pocket right so now everything is
03:48
stream able I mean right to your phone
03:50
you got led which is technically or LTE
03:53
which is faster than actually cable
03:56
cable in some cases so we’ve got the
03:59
bandwidth now I mean you and I are seen
04:01
each other in 3d right here right now so
04:02
it’s crystal clear right and we got
04:05
people watching us live on Facebook at
04:06
leas I believe they do and so get all
04:10
these different great platforms are
04:11
going on and I was like you know if I
04:13
can just kind of get people in video
04:14
they can see the emotions as well as the
04:17
impact it can have with the trailer that
04:20
I create so I just said you know I’m
04:21
gonna do both it’s really been effective
04:23
so how do you monetize a podcast
04:26
that’s a good question you know
04:28
obviously I’m just in the growing stages
04:30
myself it’s been about two years now I’m
04:32
actually now focusing on that and then
04:34
it’s basically once you get the tribe
04:36
right it’s like you kind of find your
04:37
your close niche on tribe and then you
04:40
kind of find the font the sponsors that
04:42
feed toward that so I’m working with a
04:44
couple of sponsors right now that kind
04:45
of adapt to more coaches entrepreneurs
04:48
that kind of thing for my podcast you
04:50
can’t just throw at any kind of thing on
04:52
your podcast they gotta have be more
04:54
specific to what you’re podcasters be
04:56
going to be you know closely niche to it
04:57
so it’s you know it just takes time and
05:00
patience you know getting more downloads
05:02
getting more attraction out there
05:04
getting people love you like you you
05:06
know the whole thing you’re selling with
05:08
the expert secrets book which I by the
05:09
way I have both my books here so I just
05:15
got my expert secrets book in the mail
05:16
deal day and I really do have to say the
05:18
dot-com is a guide it’s it’s more than a
05:21
book you can constantly go in there to
05:23
kind of learn more and more and more
05:25
about not only funnel acting but just
05:27
life in general and marketing you know
05:29
thank you we appreciate that a lot of us
05:32
a lot of time I’m okay thanks so tell me
05:35
from a sanal standpoint you again you’ve
05:37
built funnels for other people and
05:39
you’ve got your own what are some of the
05:41
things to learn through all this what
05:42
are some of the tips and tricks you
05:43
would recommend others learn and
05:45
understand well I’ve done you know I’ll
05:47
be honest I’ve never been really good at
05:48
spelling or copy so my strengths have
05:51
been designed and I actually have a
05:53
couple paw funnels in the marketplace on
05:57
the funnel hacking website click funnels
05:59
and one of the things I created was
06:01
called a called a funny funnel stack so
06:05
essentially you’ve got a funnel in there
06:07
you purchase a funnel or grab a fun when
06:09
you bring it down but you want my you
06:11
might want like something from this
06:12
funnel over here or maybe a design over
06:14
here from this one so what I did is I
06:15
created this funnel that has like 20
06:18
different tops 20 you know
06:20
call-to-action button 20 different ways
06:24
to design text so you can just kind of
06:26
you know you can hide layers right so
06:28
you just go through and I hide about 50
06:30
layers and you end up with a perfect
06:31
website the way you want it and then you
06:33
just color it and stylize it it’s pretty
06:35
cool so that is it now everyone’s going
06:38
to want to know how they get that so no
06:39
it’s
06:40
marketplace protocol if market failures
06:42
clickfunnels calm its name its gender or
06:45
housing Cody Dodd Cody Geiger inactive
06:47
and it’s called the funnel stack so
06:49
you’ll see it under templates and you’ll
06:51
see it under mmm full full funnels it’s
06:53
pretty cool I mean it literally saves
06:56
you 3 hours of designing because it does
06:59
every design imaginal in it right
07:01
there’s the bottom you know we got a
07:03
site map at the bottom or this or
07:04
they’re all stacked right you just
07:06
choose which ones you want and then you
07:08
got your funnel you want so you know for
07:11
those people that aren’t too tech savvy
07:13
with the design they can then change a
07:15
copy out it’s really nice data so that
07:18
is really what exactly a good I think
07:21
about stack where we typically layering
07:23
one funnel on top of another photo on
07:25
top of another and you’ve got a funnel
07:26
stack from a design element which that
07:28
brilliant that’s total just think cool
07:30
just think of all the coolest websites
07:31
you ever seen right and like okay I want
07:33
a little piece of that website I want a
07:35
little piece of that but of course you
07:37
can design it but I was like well just
07:38
pre design all these things for
07:39
everybody and just put them all in there
07:41
and there they have it so you just you
07:44
know you get the elements thing on the
07:45
side it’ll show them all at first and
07:48
then you can just hide one or delete
07:50
each one as you don’t like them
07:51
so as you design it now okay I love you
07:54
know I love this one I love this video
07:56
the way this one’s platform what’s one
07:57
testimonies I got three stacked or six
08:00
stacked or you know so all these
08:01
different options you have so you have
08:03
to go build it well I hope you like it a
08:06
ton of people buy that one because that
08:07
sounds amazing I think that’s a super
08:10
super cool I’m doing pretty well in
08:11
there I would like to think I’m one of
08:12
the best sellers so we’ll say that you
08:15
know that’s awesome I know it’s what
08:16
else we’ve got a lot of things on our
08:18
plate and one of those is really
08:19
developing out our marketplace but I’m
08:21
so happy that you have a lot of success
08:22
with it that’s pretty cool you know I I
08:24
really love it it’s really fun you know
08:26
you kind of check your phone check your
08:28
skype and are you just ripe and all
08:30
right sold a couple of templates today
08:32
it’s really kind of nice and the people
08:33
love it too so now once they understand
08:35
how to use it like this is so easy
08:37
because you know I was building for
08:39
clients and they’re like okay well what
08:40
do you like well I like this guy’s
08:41
website I like this guy’s website and
08:43
before you know it you’re like you know
08:46
you’re really kind of mixing and mashing
08:48
I’m like you know what screw it I’m just
08:49
going to build one site to have all of
08:52
it in there
08:53
and then you just delete what I don’t
08:55
need right so I just sit there with a
08:56
client I go well you like this top like
08:59
this call to action you know you’re like
09:01
this you know testimony section like
09:03
this article section just Google room
09:05
it’s all done you’ll have to check it
09:07
out after the podcast guaranteed I’ll be
09:09
buying that one for sure I have some
09:10
hospital my son actually sits behind me
09:12
used to work at a different college
09:14
working on some other projects for me
09:15
and so we’ve got one project he’s
09:17
working on that that will actually work
09:19
real well for it so I’ll be you’ll see
09:21
you you’ll see a seven 17 bucks it’s all
09:24
yours mine is stripe 17 dollar funnel
09:26
here wouldn’t get done for sure so tell
09:30
me uh also as far as some of the things
09:32
you’ve seen from a design animal what
09:33
are some of the important things that
09:34
are when it comes to design you know I’m
09:37
going to spend most of our time more on
09:38
the structured things but design really
09:40
plays a major role in it so what are
09:42
some tips and things you can get people
09:44
well you know in the design it’s very
09:45
important to have good good readable
09:47
fonts you know really really make sure
09:49
the fonts are clearly readable and a lot
09:51
of people tend to put you know they’re
09:53
not really good design but they start
09:54
seeing all this cool stuff you can do it
09:56
clickfunnels you can do so much with
09:57
it’s so easy right they start throwing
09:59
five different size fonts on there and
10:01
stuff really kind of control the amount
10:02
of fonts you put on there in the sizes
10:04
and the spacing between the font you get
10:06
that eeehm which is your space between
10:09
the line of each font so that people can
10:10
read it really simple I’ll be obviously
10:14
having matching colors not being too
10:16
busy is really really essential right
10:20
just clean crisp and simple because you
10:22
want them to read the text more so and
10:24
then click the bonnet button to buy
10:26
right so you’ve got to kind of navigate
10:28
them through and make that nice and
10:29
clean and that’s really important so
10:31
that’s what I kind of also delivered in
10:33
that it’s very professional clean text
10:36
so you can just replace the text and
10:37
just go over there it’s all already
10:38
spaced for you it’s already aligned for
10:40
you and so on sport I chose text that is
10:43
specifically good for reading so I love
10:46
that that’s great it knows obviously
10:49
guys you have five minute mark podcast
10:51
and you’re interviewing a ton of
10:52
entrepreneurs all the time what would
10:54
you say from I understand most of the
10:57
people who listen our podcast they’re
10:58
typically their funnels and there’s
11:01
sales right now you’re going to find
11:02
them anywhere from fifty thousand to
11:03
about the five ten million branch so
11:05
what are so I know it’s a huge broad
11:07
but what are some tips and experience
11:09
that you value the person in your life
11:10
or from you’ve interviewed some awesome
11:12
awesome people what are some things you
11:13
learn from your interviews and other
11:15
entrepreneurial tips you can get well
11:17
two things
11:18
if you want to Inc let’s say you want to
11:20
incorporate your funnels into your
11:22
podcast this is something I’ve done
11:23
that’s really worked really well for
11:24
example I had Don Watson on from I’m not
11:27
your guru with Tony Robbins really big
11:29
hit and we we really want to help her
11:32
create an email list and you know kind
11:35
of segue from that movie into coach into
11:39
you know superstar so what we did is I
11:42
actually interviewed her on my shell and
11:44
we took the interview and we made a
11:46
little trailer a little two-minute
11:47
trailer we put it in a funnel at the top
11:49
and said so we posted on Facebook or ran
11:52
ads and we had them go to the funnel
11:53
they could only see two minutes and said
11:55
to see the full episode you know put
11:59
your email address and your name in and
12:00
click here and then it brings them over
12:02
to the full of threatens so we kind of
12:04
use that more of as a utilization to get
12:07
more leads for her so now not only is a
12:10
podcast really cool but she’s actually
12:11
using the podcast to get the leads that
12:14
she needs in her niche market so it was
12:16
put all right cool
12:19
and that’s also in the marketplace -
12:21
it’s called the front of podcast funnel
12:23
so yeah I mean after I’ve written these
12:27
down here so I’ve got the podcast but oh
12:28
yeah I got the funnel sex I got yep
12:31
you’ve got two sales Adam Ygritte before
12:33
the end of this here what else what else
12:34
you can sell me basically I defeated you
12:36
and I’m behind Europe the long form is
12:38
actually the bestseller it’s just a long
12:40
form kind of like what Russell does the
12:41
long form it’s just the more a lot of
12:44
text layouts a lot of people that are
12:45
good sales sales you know copywriters
12:48
can really just bang through that real
12:50
quickly back because it’s just got so
12:51
many different you know bullet sections
12:53
and different things you can kind of
12:54
just go right through with it and it
12:57
just it looks more sales copy like right
12:59
you get the long form and that’s why I
13:01
made one of them that’s similar you can
13:03
just kind of bang out what area you want
13:05
so if you want you know paragraph here
13:07
or bullets or this is just one moving
13:09
room all the way down through so let’s
13:11
let’s be interviewing Russell on the
13:12
26th so maybe I’ll have to share this go
13:14
down as well too
13:15
love that mature it almost wait go ahead
13:18
know what you’re saying it almost be
13:21
something that really they could
13:21
incorporate later on and to clickfunnels
13:23
as a as a an asset and within it I think
13:26
it’s a pretty good idea so I’ll talk
13:28
about yeah so I only understand because
13:31
right now we’re basically recording each
13:33
other doing this and then you’re also in
13:35
a Facebook live so how are you using how
13:37
to utilize it in social media Facebook
13:38
live for your podcast so I have not been
13:43
doing too much with Facebook live I’ve
13:45
done it about six months ago I was
13:47
getting pretty active with it now I’m
13:48
going to be very active with it because
13:50
it I really like and recording from my
13:52
computer in what you’re doing right now
13:53
I’m using my computer versus my phone so
13:56
it’s kind of nice to me I now have it on
13:58
your computer on Google Chrome you can
14:00
do a live live offering so I mean
14:02
there’s just nothing better than selling
14:04
live I mean there’s just no better you
14:06
know or we’re being doing an interview
14:08
live sure people love being on a podcast
14:10
it’s convenient but now again bandwidth
14:12
has changed and Facebook’s changed thing
14:14
we can see things live and that and
14:16
they’re in the moment and if you’re
14:18
trying to convert a sale or just get a
14:20
point across the right they’re breathing
14:22
with you seeing with you and the actions
14:24
taken so it’s really cool this is one
14:27
thing yeah I know a great time so all
14:29
the things basically he’s been telling
14:30
so for those are fun huh creative things
14:33
who are listen to this understand what’s
14:35
taking place here so we’ve got basically
14:37
obviously I’m recording this as a funnel
14:39
hacking radio episode that is also going
14:41
to be on funnel hacker TV if you haven’t
14:43
got a funnel hacker TV we just put up
14:45
four episodes there they’re crazy cool
14:47
episodes need to take a look at those
14:48
but the main thing that’s happening here
14:50
also is dennis is recording this for
14:52
hinged use and he actually is using this
14:55
on a facebook live and all the things
14:58
that i’m now going to go by basically
15:00
the three different funnels he’s now as
15:01
you guys listen to the most regular at
15:03
buying also on his side he’s got
15:05
basically from facebook live most likely
15:07
some people be picking up his sales
15:09
funnels as well just from the things
15:10
they’ve heard so a great use of time and
15:12
most importantly different types of
15:14
channels and social media i think that’s
15:16
pretty amazing yeah you’re getting
15:17
information here right and in several
15:19
different directions and pick and choose
15:21
how you want to hear you want to hear it
15:23
later on while you’re walking you want
15:24
to see you want to be curious while
15:25
you’re working on facebook live or you
15:28
can go
15:28
you tube when you’re randomly hanging
15:29
out at night and you want to just kind
15:30
of flip on some youtube channels you got
15:32
that too so it’s got all the all the
15:33
assets there it’s really cool that’s not
15:37
that hard all this is happening right
15:39
now like happening it’s like I’m when
15:41
I’m done I’m going to take this I’m
15:42
going to edit this video in this audio
15:44
and I’m gonna be done with a half hour
15:46
I’ll send you know a trailer of this and
15:48
within a half-hour so it’s you know it’s
15:50
really quick to have this all done and
15:51
simple I think I hope that you guys is
15:54
you’re listening this you’re
15:55
understanding the importance of getting
15:56
your message out I recently just did we
15:59
were talking about Facebook live I
16:00
personally did a 30 day Facebook live
16:02
challenge our inner circle was
16:03
challenged to each through 30 days every
16:05
single day is going to Facebook live and
16:07
it was kind of fascinating for me as we
16:09
went through that at first I felt like I
16:11
was running out of things to say and so
16:13
it started basically being more creative
16:14
and being more aware of what to say the
16:16
next day but I think what you were just
16:18
talking about here is you think you’re
16:20
taking this basically is going to be our
16:23
15 30 minutes interview whatever it will
16:25
be streamed three different ways
16:26
Facebook live I’m going to have it on
16:29
I’m gonna strip the audio off and we’ll
16:30
have that on rate and basically podcast
16:33
we’re also going to take the video and
16:34
put that on YouTube so this and that’s
16:38
on my side and you’re doing one at your
16:39
side as well so we’ve really got you
16:41
know multiple uses here night tickets I
16:43
would just encourage you guys as you’re
16:45
out there make sure that you’re taking
16:46
advantage of the time and you may
16:48
mention quantity times as far as the
16:50
bandwidth and the importance of that can
16:53
you mind shared it’s the only thing I’ve
16:55
always struggled with as far as doing a
16:57
Facebook live or video like this for
16:59
Skype how much bandwidth you really need
17:01
to be able make this work well we all
17:04
have it whether it’s on your phone
17:05
you’re doing Facebook live on you
17:06
because I was originally came out on
17:08
your phone only remember so the phone
17:09
already has enough bandwidth on there
17:11
unless you’re in some remote area
17:12
obviously you’re your home computers
17:15
have it you can kind of it tells you if
17:17
you have enough bandwidth before you
17:18
even go on live but it’s really
17:20
important I guess to more focus on
17:22
making sure that your you know your
17:24
backgrounds are dialed in so that people
17:27
aren’t being distracted and or if that’s
17:28
purposely what’s happening say like I
17:30
like to do mine walking I love doing my
17:32
facebook lives driving or walking so I
17:34
have velcro on the back of my phone
17:35
right and where you’re seeing it but
17:39
Facebook I’m up so I’m like my car it’s
17:41
right on
17:42

  • bored so when I’m doing Facebook live
    17:44
I’m not having to hold the phone I can
    17:46
drive and I can kind of get in my own
    17:48
you know space with that right
    17:50
I guess Brussels does a great job with
    17:51
that with marketing your car you know
    17:54
he’s able just kind of chat while he’s
    17:55
driving and it just helps you kind of be
    17:59
    more natural more authentic right
    18:01
because if you just sit here and you
    18:03
stare your computer like okay what do I
    18:05
say what do I say what do I say you know
    18:06
you don’t I mean it gets all like
    18:07
nervous and oh my god I’m the only one
    18:09
look at myself well if you’re driving or
    18:11
you’re walking a dog you kind of have
    18:13
some distractions so you can just kind
    18:14
of be more yourself so if I was to
    18:16
encourage anybody use marketing as far
    18:18
as Facebook live do something with your
    18:21
you’re getting distracted so to speak
    18:23
like walking or driving a car obviously
    18:26
have it mounted specifically in the car
    18:28
so you not touching it but that way
    18:31
you’re able to you know be distracting
    18:33
you can talk and be like you’re talking
    18:34
to a buddy or your girlfriend or your
    18:36
mom or whatever I love that advice I
    18:39
actually beta the station just holding
    18:41
mine as I was driving for that oh yeah
    18:44
Devon 2:30 actually because Russell I
    18:47
just thought guess what a little Oxus
    18:49
little tripod thing that’s little knobs
    18:51
on it and he’s actually hanging his from
    18:53
his mirror to record the video and it’s
    18:56
upside down right now so we kind of seen
    18:58
you guys do that next let’s do this
    18:59
velcro to survive what I’ve had to tell
    19:02
them what I’m a dad anyway yeah it’s
    19:04
simple and you can you know adjust it
    19:06
you know have to worry about put time
    19:07
yeah that’s what I use to bucks listen
    19:11
to buck it’s like buying two buck two
    19:13
buck chuck wine you know there’s I think
    19:17
it’s really amazing when you take a look
    19:20
at some of the stuff you’ve been able to
    19:21
do with your content I before this I
    19:23
went through a lot of your different
    19:24
five-minute bark podcasts and which one
    19:27
did you like best actually when I was
    19:29
looking at most recent was Alex sharpens
    19:31
okay Alex a good friend of mine and was
    19:34
kind of attention to his and I loved
    19:37
kind of your trailer and things as far
    19:38
as how it led into that I think the part
    19:41
I was I guess most fascinated by was the
    19:43
whole idea as far as video and it was
    19:45
because of what I saw in yours that I
    19:47
started this one so it’s thank you for
    19:49
this well thank you well you know what
    19:51
it is is I mean I mean just like he
    19:53
talks about in calm and expert secrets
    19:55
    it
    19:56
no getting people to be authentic and
    19:58
real and share in their open environment
    20:00
magic comes out of your mouth right I
    20:02
mean it really does and that’s the goal
    20:05
of my five minute bark podcast is the
    20:06
bail get people to just kind of be
    20:08
comfortable well they can just say what
    20:09
they want and do what they want we’re
    20:11
just gonna have a chat and when I see
    20:13
them talk about something that’s very
    20:14
specific it’s very valuable I’ll lead
    20:16
them there so in other words open forum
    20:19
hey Dave let’s have a chat and I want to
    20:21
see something you passionate about let’s
    20:23
go there right and then that leads to
    20:24
you getting super excited talking about
    20:27
something you really enjoy talking about
    20:29
and then now people enjoy Dave right and
    20:32
they’re reading into all minutes by the
    20:34
way Dave does this and he sells this and
    20:36
this so that’s the new way of marketing
    20:38
and these books that Russell just made
    20:41
that’s what it’s all about so thank you
    20:44
    I appreciate that
    20:45
I know for us has been one Amazings
    20:47
we’ve been looking at is really trying
    20:49
to help people understand the importance
    20:50
of providing value it’s the massive
    20:53
content and value and again you def it’s
    20:56
an amazing job it’s it’s fascinating to
    20:58
me as I take a look at what you’re doing
    20:59
where you basically have said no to your
    21:01
clients unless you’re gonna get on a
    21:03
podcast it’s like that’s an essential in
    21:07
a lot of cases I’ll even charge come on
    21:08
the podcast because they’re getting a
    21:09
    marketing video out of it
    21:11
right so I’m obviously I invite certain
    21:13
people but when they come on I’m giving
    21:15
them promotional material so the viduh
    21:17
tea you know the videos and the trailers
    21:20
and so on and so forth I mean how much
    21:21
value do you think that would be to Alex
    21:23
Shar fun to use that video because it’s
    21:24
so powerful right it’s got the music and
    21:27
    what does that cost
    21:28
no that would cost you you know a couple
    21:30
thousand bucks pretty easily so and one
    21:34
thing I really try to point out to
    21:35
people is it’s a big difference between
    21:37
doing a corporate video and an authentic
    21:39
real video where you’re talking and
    21:41
saying true things there’s a massive
    21:44
difference so people can relate to you
    21:46
so when you do something on camera
    21:48
that’s set up and you got a script which
    21:50
I’ve tried with people before it’s just
    21:52
    impossible because they’re trying to
    21:53
read the bullet points and they’re
    21:54
trying to make it authentic and it just
    21:55
    doesn’t happen
    21:56
mmm but if you just kind of are in an
    21:58
interview setting and you’re kind of
    21:59
stopped talking and we’re taking you
    22:00
there right to say the important things
    22:03
without you even knowing you’ve been
    22:04
going there and it turns into a magical
    22:06
video so that’s what maybe the five
    22:08
    minute Bach has
    22:09
best offers that magical moments that we
    22:12
get people to talk about in their
    22:14
podcast so how much time is a cake and
    22:17
gets down at the five minute mark yeah
    22:19
you know it’s really simple because I’ll
    22:22
take this the speed right here and I’ll
    22:24
go and I’ll put it in the my video
    22:26
software which is Final Cut Pro and I
    22:29
can just see what chunks that Dave
    22:31
talked on so I’m going to go look at the
    22:32
chunk that you talked on I think it’s
    22:33
pretty inspirational and I grab that
    22:35
section I’m gonna put some music on see
    22:37
if it lines right make sure that your
    22:39
you know you talked you talked to at
    22:42
least two minutes and and then I’ll set
    22:46
    the music to it
    22:46
see how it works and then just find the
    22:48
right ending you know the right Paula
    22:50
ending to it and it turns magic there’s
    22:54
like wow wow wow you know that’s just
    22:57
perfect cuz you get a good you know the
    22:59
start doesn’t have to be so much to be
    23:01
worried about it’s where you end right
    23:02
to put the blast will powerful words
    23:04
they say so that’s really cool that’s
    23:07
nice yes I know for I guess guys don’t
    23:09
know Alex Alex is a guy who’s very
    23:11
    passionate about the entrepreneur it’s
    23:13
really what he’s most passionate about
    23:14
is hold it he’s has to be
    23:16
    entrepreneurial personality type and he
    23:18
you start you get him going down that
    23:20
row as far as the entrepreneur and the
    23:21
value an entrepreneur can bring to the
    23:22
entire economy in the world as a whole
    23:25
and he’s just so passionate that it’s it
    23:28
was really neat to see how that I think
    23:29
it’s like three minutes three four
    23:31
minutes whatever it was that it was just
    23:32
like man it’s it’s emotional connected
    23:35
and I think that’s it is great job of
    23:37
that I think if we get us three or four
    23:40
am unclear to go to youtube and type in
    23:41
Alex sharpen see harf p.m. five-minute
    23:45
bark you’ll see them and Lily one Omi’s
    23:47
in tears I’m lucky saw the one is in
    23:49
tears but he’s in tears like talking
    23:51
because he’s so passionate so to get
    23:53
that people you know to get my guests to
    23:55
that spot this is you know this little
    23:57
you know we you know moving you have to
    23:59
do but seems to happen pretty often so I
    24:01
    feel pretty lucky
    24:02
go ahead that’s amazing no I think it’s
    24:05
I think the neat part for me as I’ve
    24:07
gone through that I’ve looked at that is
    24:09
to help people understand that you know
    24:12
a lot of times we think of these
    24:13
    podcasts and again - typically 25 30
    24:15
minute range and and yet what I’ve liked
    24:17
most about yours is you really put it
    24:21
down to what’s the most important thing
    24:23
    it was
    24:23
and then and I don’t have the musical
    24:28
skills that you have but I mean it’s
    24:29
little it’s this work of art that you
    24:31
    created literally it’s just as
    24:32
masterpiece you get the graphics you
    24:34
guys I mean it’s just super visually
    24:36
impactful and I think it’s one of things
    24:37
where people like man I want to see more
    24:39
of that and so I encourage people
    24:40
against the skill set you have but it I
    24:42
think it’s pretty fascinating how you’ve
    24:44
done it oh thank you and of course I do
    24:46
have the full episodes the mine they run
    24:47
2025 minutes as well so I they can go
    24:50
when they watch the full episode because
    24:51
there’s plenty more of them so sometimes
    24:53
it’s like three or four good golden
    24:54
nuggets I got them so I’ll get three
    24:55
different trailers out of it but they’ve
    24:58
an interview can go 20 and 30 minutes
    24:59
long as well so I try to stay at 20 but
    25:02
just you know before you know it you’re
    25:04
already way past that because you’re
    25:06
having a good conversation you know and
    25:07
they’re in the heat they’re in the heat
    25:09
of the moment I can’t stop them they’re
    25:10
like okay we’re done so you know let’s
    25:13
let’s spoil this party you know took 15
    25:15
minutes to get you there and let’s spoil
    25:17
the party you know does it work grow
    25:20
well w as we kind of wrap things up
    25:22
anything else want to make sure that our
    25:23
audience really gets from you because I
    25:25
mean I if you take a look here we’ve got
    25:28
in 20 minutes is no way I could cover
    25:29
all that you’ve done in your Corrections
    25:31
I got so many vast things but you’re
    25:33
    extremely passionate about obviously
    25:35
about the funnels and graphics and art
    25:37
and in that side of it I think it’s just
    25:39
always comes out of everything that you
    25:41
touch it has this - gold touch of of
    25:43
just brilliant as far as you take a look
    25:45
at you like man it’s just beautifully
    25:47
artwork that comes out of it
    25:48
well this is what I’ve got is um I’ve
    25:52
had a knack of getting people to
    25:54
interview in a very high-quality way
    25:55
teaching them how to speak how to be on
    25:58
camera kind of enhancing their guest
    25:59
experience and if you’re going to be a
    26:01
person is going to be going on podcasts
    26:03
    quite a bit I have a package I’ve been
    26:05
doing that’s been really helping people
    26:07
out to prepare themselves to do an
    26:09
excellent interview because if you go on
    26:10
and start doing 20 or 30 interviews it’s
    26:13
very difficult to to get your words
    26:17
across and unless you really know what
    26:19
    you’re talking about there’s very
    26:20
specific things a host like when you’re
    26:22
    interviewing me there’s very specific
    26:24
things like Dennis talk yes you’re doing
    26:25
a great job because if I’m talking then
    26:27
    you’re happy because you’re getting
    26:29
content out of me right so it’s wise
    26:30
versus let so that guest has to
    26:32
understand how to answer these questions
    26:33
in a proper way so you and I obviously
    26:35
can you know really work this we didn’t
    26:37
    even have
    26:37
we just jumped on so we’re we’re
    26:39
handling it you know I mean but a lot of
    26:41
people you know they don’t really quite
    26:42
know how to handle that and they answer
    26:44
questions like yes and you’re like okay
    26:48
well I want to talk about it and I want
    26:52
to just say what meeting and one of the
    26:53
first things I literally do with people
    26:55
as I teach them to say their own name
    26:56
the right way so if I say yeah my name
    26:59
is Dennis langley’s or I say hey I’m
    27:01
Dennis Langlais from the five minute
    27:02
mark podcast that there’s power behind
    27:04
that and there’s little things like that
    27:05
that make all the difference because
    27:07
they’re going to try to sell people in a
    27:09
podcast you have to be present and
    27:12
authentic and real and and touched up in
    27:15
certain ways and then I take that and
    27:16
obviously I create the videos for them
    27:18
and a little bit of coaching or a little
    27:20
video of being a podcast and I can
    27:21
actually give them a podcast funnel that
    27:24
I give to take their content now that
    27:26
I’ve gotten and put on that funnel and
    27:28
use that to promote themselves so it’s
    27:31
it’s a funnel hack X pod pod funnel hack
    27:36
well the very next thing ever could be
    27:38
bombarded my email with is how do I get
    27:40
that so how do they connect with you to
    27:42
get that information from you so you can
    27:44
reach out to me on on Facebook
    27:45
Dennis Langlais or type in five-minute
    27:48
bark and you’ll get more than enough
    27:49
ways to find me there five minute bark
    27:51
calm five minute bark podcast I’ll come
    27:54
up on YouTube on itunes obviously we can
    27:57
start subscribe to both of those and I
    27:59
highly encourage you to and I’ll just
    28:02
reach out and talk to me and I’ll
    28:03
message and I’ll tell them what I have
    28:06
to show them and what we can do so I
    28:08
appreciate that I know I’ve said that
    28:12
the great part is you can’t so highly
    28:14
recommend it Daniel guess is one
    28:15
referred you to me and like eating with
    28:18
Daniel live erect men tomato of course
    28:20
but I was it’s been fascinating me as
    28:22
I’ve looked over your stuff for the last
    28:23
few weeks just seeing you’re everywhere
    28:26
I mean you’re doing an amazing job just
    28:28
as you just talked about well you can
    28:30
give me a Facebook give a fuck I guess
    28:31
get made I just give good well I used to
    28:33
be a professional athlete too and all to
    28:34
know that if you look up BMX Pro
    28:38
Dennis language I’m been all around the
    28:40
    world traveling as a professional
    28:41
athlete my second life my pre life so I
    28:45
got a whole nother separate Facebook
    28:48
page and everything to that so it’s a
    28:49
    completely different life
    28:51
but it’s really exciting there as well
    28:53
to be able to travel the world and do
    28:55
extreme sports for people you know the
    28:57
bikes on the ramps and the flips and
    28:58
stuff like that yeah yeah pretty cool
    29:01
stuff so yeah oh that’s awesome got the
    29:04
opportunity so I already had the life of
    29:06
the fame so I’m basically have to
    29:08
recreate it myself through this radio
    29:10
show in a different form and it’s been
    29:12
quite challenging but fun worked out
    29:15
well for you though I I would make at
    29:17
least from our perspective looking at it
    29:18
you’ve got an amazing job thank you I
    29:20
really appreciate it and this is
    29:22
    exciting
    29:23
    well again everybody definitely reach
    29:25
out to Dennis and language is spelled LA
    29:27
and GLA is and you definitely want to
    29:30
follow him I highly recommend again
    29:32
three three funnels I’m going to be
    29:34
buying right after this they’re going to
    29:36
be in the marketplace but in addition to
    29:38
that make sure you take a look at
    29:40
understanding what dennis is doing and
    29:42
why I hope you kind of got an ideas that
    29:43
we’re going to talk about this but his
    29:45
ability to basically work with people on
    29:47
a podcast especially from a video
    29:49
    standpoint it’s just brilliant
    29:51
as far as a way to provide massive value
    29:53
to others and also build your own
    29:54
followings a great amazing mazie job
    29:57
