00:02
hey how you doing good how are you doing
00:05
good
00:05
hi my name’s Emily I’m 11 and I’m
00:07
starting a business called Emily sleeper
00:09
a show to raise money for my business I
00:11
wrote this book called the 5 steps to
00:13
perfect sleepover well I’m selling my
00:15
book for $15 new and make a great gift
00:17
you wrote this
00:18
yes sir how long did you write it took
00:20
me about a month - Wow
00:22
well I don’t you know I’m an adult I’m a
00:24
sleepovers anymore but I appreciate you
00:26
coming it makes a great gift if you ever
00:28
go to a birthday party for your knees
00:29
cousin or daughter it’s an amazing well
00:32
I don’t have my wallet here for me right
00:33
now but made you come back invoice you
00:36
oh really
00:37
just 15 dollars what if I did 10 q10 I
00:40
could do it 1111 all right I’ll do for
00:48
11 bucks this is literally the princess
00:50
of the pitch right here we do like it’s
00:52
happy of my book my name is Russell
00:55
Brunson and I’m part of an underground
00:57
group of entrepreneurs that you’ve
00:59
probably never even heard of before we
01:01
don’t rely on cash from venture
01:02
capitalists to get started and we don’t
01:05
even have goals to go public either in
01:06
fact our motivation is the exact
01:08
opposite you see we have products and
01:10
services and things that we know change
01:12
people’s lives because we’re fight
01:14
against the big brands people with
01:15
literally unlimited budgets we have to
01:18
do things differently we have to do
01:19
things smarter we don’t have financial
01:21
safety nets because every test we take
01:23
with our own money we have to be
01:25
profitable to day number one so how do
01:27
we do that how is that even possible if
01:29
you ask DMV age or look at your college
01:31
textbooks they will tell you to what we
01:33
are doing is impossible to get it’s
01:34
happening every single day it’s
01:36
happening through an art and a science
01:37
what we call frontal hacking it’s not
01:39
really something that I can explain to
01:41
you something I have to show you these
01:43
stories are a glimpse of entrepreneurs
01:45
just like you who have a dream and a
01:47
vision you want to change the world in
01:49
their
01:49
a little way I use the phone hacking
01:50
process they’ll make their dreams become
01:52
a reality yes we are funnel hackers and
01:55
these are our stories
02:00
[Music]
02:02
today we have Caleb Maddox and Emily
02:04
Shay flying to Boise Idaho we’re gonna
02:06
have a ton of fun we are going to build
02:08
some funnels and we’re gonna help give
02:09
their message out to more people so they
02:11
can change the world in their own little
02:12
way oh look at all this professional to
02:15
professional for me well now I actually
02:25
have a kind of selfish reason for having
02:27
them fly here to Boise I’m really
02:29
excited actually helping with their
02:30
business helped build a funnel all kind
02:31
of stuff I love but my selfish
02:33
motivation is I actually want them to
02:34
come to me with my kids if you want my
02:36
kids that some role models to look up to
02:38
because most kids when I was a kid I
02:40
didn’t have that it had the role models
02:42
of other kids doing amazing things I
02:43
wanted my kids to see both Caleb and
02:45
Emily are doing when I first started
02:47
wrestling I started wrestling in eighth
02:48
grade and about two weeks into my
02:49
wrestling there was the state tournament
02:51
happening so my dad took me to state
02:52
tournament and I saw two guys on my high
02:54
school team won the state tournament and
02:55
then that second I was like I’m gonna be
02:57
a state champ and that was like my whole
02:59
focus and I seen it happen and I
03:00
believed it so I like that became my
03:02
whole focus and eventually I became a
03:04
state champ
03:04
one of my buddies his dad took him to a
03:07
national tournament and he saw some his
03:08
buddies placed a national tournament and
03:10
so for him he was like his trajectory I
03:12
want to be I want to be a national
03:13
national champ and so that’s where he
03:15
was shooting for so he got a state champ
03:17
easy and then end up hitting these
03:19
higher levels because that’s what he was
03:20
shooting for and I always I was like man
03:22
like I hit where I was shooting for but
03:23
I but that’s all I I wish I would have
03:26
shot higher and so my one of my big
03:28
secret motivations for you guys is like
03:30
you guys from you’re like this is
03:31
national level my kids see you guys and
03:33
see like that I think now give us
03:36
something to shoot for and if they never
03:37
hit that like now and you know just it
03:39
know fired more because they see kind of
03:41
that stuff now I had seen both Caleb and
03:43
Emily online I’d see what they were
03:44
doing I see the Facebook lives I see all
03:46
the cool stuff that they’re doing and I
03:48
really wanted kind of Boise so I could
03:49
help them to take all of this passion
03:51
and excitement and energy and all the
03:53
stuff that they’re doing and help put it
03:54
into a funnel cuz I know that when you
03:55
have a funnel it helps you to get your
03:57
message out to more people and that way
03:58
they can make more money but I know
03:59
what’s more important to them and to
04:01
anybody who’s really an expert who
04:03
really loves serving the more important
04:05
thing is helping them to have more
04:06
impact on their audience and help serve
04:07
more people now before we get started
04:09
and really get deep into the business
04:11
part of everything I really wanted to
04:13
hear their stories and understand
04:15
where they came from and how they got to
04:16
this point because it’s not normal that
04:18
kids this young or already having this
04:20
kind of impact on the world I really
04:21
want to understand their stories and
04:24
their what what it was that inspired
04:26
them and got them to be able to do what
04:28
they’re doing today dad
04:29
I want money and he said go start a
04:34
business I was like what kind of
04:36
business he said he asked me what I love
04:38
I told him that I love sleepovers and
04:40
and then after a couple days I just kind
04:43
of thought through it and came up with
04:46
the whole idea in my head and he thought
04:48
it was a great idea he told me you gotta
04:50
raise money for a business like that
04:51
because that’s gonna cost money and so I
04:54
was like well what do I do
04:55
it was like go write a book so I went
04:58
and I sat and I wrote a book that’s
05:01
where most people stop most people beg
05:02
write a book again oh you actually did
05:04
it like that’s and that’s amazing okay
05:06
sure write a book on sleepovers and I
05:09
just did it and after a while I just
05:12
went door to door to car dealerships and
05:14
I just I kept going and kept pushing and
05:17
even when I just wanted to stay home and
05:19
do whatever watched movies my dad told
05:22
me that I have a goal and I need to keep
05:24
pushing to get there and I have I’ve
05:27
raised $20,000 for that’s crazy so what
05:29
was your initial goal well my initial
05:31
goal was first about like three thousand
05:34
dollars and then and then and then I
05:36
made it to 5,000 and 10,000 dependent
05:39
and then I just kept going after that I
05:41
just I just kept doing it because I love
05:43
to do it and I got to 15 dozen it was
05:46
like we’ll just stop 20,000 that’s it
05:48
and I just want that you got it
05:50
so tell about the very first time you
05:52
you sold it was it scary like however it
05:54
just got like I’m in that’s amazing last
06:03
year he kind of committed an
06:04
entrepreneur but prior that was it was
06:06
other stuff as well right mm-hmm so I
06:08
didn’t get into like the money like she
06:09
did you know I kind of got into more of
06:11
the impact so like my dad said I was
06:14
like super passionate about baseball I
06:15
wanted to be the shortstop New York
06:17
Yankees I was waking up at 5:00 a.m. and
06:19
this is like seven eight years old I was
06:20
waking up at 5:00 a.m. and I would work
06:22
out then I go to school and then I would
06:24
do my homework and then I go right back
06:25
into baseball reading all that stuff
06:28
a lot of passion and I met a lot of
06:30
different kids and the number one
06:31
question I asked them for some reason I
06:33
don’t know why this is still a question
06:34
asked you know to this day I haven’t
06:36
just asked the hotel worker that we had
06:38
but the question is is like what’s your
06:39
dream job like what’s what’s your dream
06:41
life and whenever I’d ask kids this
06:43
question a lot of times I didn’t have an
06:45
answer like they didn’t know what their
06:46
dream was I didn’t know what they wanted
06:47
to accomplish they didn’t have a goal or
06:50
a vision so I would I started coaching I
06:52
asked this one kid this question I was
06:53
like so what do you want to be whenever
06:54
you’re older and he said that he doesn’t
06:56
he didn’t know like he was like oh yeah
06:57
I’m just a kid I don’t know and it
06:59
shocked me because I always thought that
07:00
every kid knew exactly where they wanted
07:02
to be and they were like taking action
07:03
on it so I started talking to him I
07:05
started coaching him a little bit for
07:07
fun and like I coach him for like an
07:09
hour straight cuz my dad was the middle
07:10
of speaking it was at an event that I
07:12
talked to this kid and next thing you
07:13
know like we came back a little bit
07:15
later and the mother said that since
07:17
that one conversation she had way more
07:20
passion better manners and was working
07:22
extremely hard towards his goal that I
07:24
helped him come up with I was like man
07:25
that’s pretty cool like that’s you know
07:26
that’s a cool thing so I started talking
07:27
to some other kids and I wrote my first
07:29
book at 12 years old started my first
07:31
real company at 13 and just started
07:34
crushing on social media and my book was
07:36
actually like why I went in
07:37
entrepreneurship it’s because I started
07:39
promoting my book and everybody was like
07:40
a 13 year old wrote a book because I
07:42
turned 13 after the book came out so
07:44
like a 13 year old wrote the book and so
07:46
I it kind of just took off from there
07:48
and I’ve been doing it ever since
07:49
when I first got started I wasn’t trying
07:50
to teach people a stuff I was just doing
07:52
it like I’m so fascinated by it you know
07:53
and then like I start sharing these
07:55
people and then a lot you know most
07:58
unfortunately too many people don’t
07:59
listen or don’t do anything with it but
08:01
it was like that one person that takes
08:02
it and they do something and then they
08:04
come back and tell you it’s just like oh
08:06
like that that’s what least for me I’m
08:08
sure whew that feels you’d like I need
08:10
more of that like it doesn’t matter how
08:11
much you read or learn like it’s useless
08:13
for after a while you know until you
08:14
like learn how to contribute and you
08:16
started giving that and that’s like what
08:18
light you on fire and that’s that’s I
08:19
think that that that pivot from like
08:21
from my personal development personal
08:24
growth to that contribution is
08:25
fascinating so this is people catch that
08:27
that’s like when I get in a fire and
08:28
that’s when it’s like you might contain
08:30
the world and they so much good stuff
08:31
happens from that so
08:33
yeah I wish I had it as early ages you
08:36
got it you know I had it I had it I mean
08:39
I had early for most people everyone I
08:41
remember because I was like I’m probably
08:43
21 22 and I started happening and be
08:45
like oh you’re so yeah I wish I started
08:46
when I was you know like you and it’s
08:48
like man I was I give him they’re like
08:50
how much further how much more could we
08:51
have helped in any way it’s cool
08:53
now before Emily and Caleb came to Boise
08:55
they actually went through my perfect
08:56
webinar and they went and they created
08:58
all the slides they put together a
08:59
webinar and it pre-recorded it what you
09:01
think was probably important because it
09:02
wasn’t just a typical webinar inside the
09:04
webinar they had all sorts of crazy
09:05
things they were showing off poop emojis
09:07
and having contests and giveaways and
09:09
all sorts of just crazy fun things to
09:11
keep kids engaged and also engaged their
09:13
parents and so I was really excited
09:15
about that but I wanted to make sure
09:16
before I just took that webinar plugged
09:18
in and I want to make sure I understood
09:20
who they were targeting were they going
09:21
after the parents were they going after
09:22
the kids because having a webinar is
09:24
great but if you haven’t structured in
09:26
the right way to convert visitors and
09:27
viewers into buyers then it’s kind of
09:29
pointless and doesn’t really help
09:30
someone to get a good understanding of
09:32
how they created their webinar who
09:34
actually watches though do you think the
09:36
parents are sitting there and the kids
09:37
are next to them like we get comments
09:38
all the time of my six year olds next to
09:40
me my eight year olds next to me like
09:42
they watch it together like it’s a
09:43
family experience so to answer your
09:45
question about the who’s watching the
09:48
webinar it’s both of them and then who’s
09:50
gonna have them come it’s like if the
09:51
kid watches it cuz I have kids follow me
09:53
and then the kids gonna ask the parent
09:54
if the parent watch their kids to watch
09:55
it it’s gonna go so it’s like that that
09:58
that pool of which when do we go after
10:00
but they’re kind of both what’s the
10:02
dropping what would make me pull money
10:04
out of my pocket it’s not like yes I
10:08
want my kids to be successful and yes I
10:09
think that this will help them get there
10:11
but what’s as a parent what’s more
10:15
interesting is your guys’s relationship
10:17
right like like when I was watching
10:20
snapchats of you guys at the gym
10:21
together like I want that with my kids
10:23
like that’s that’s the most important
10:25
thing it’s not it’s not like I want my
10:27
kids be success I want to be a champ or
10:29
a millionaire what I don’t care about
10:30
that I want I want to be connected with
10:31
them right that’s that’s the thing that
10:33
gets me as a dad to want to give money
10:35
like when you told me the books that
10:36
your dad read like that was like it had
10:38
you read I was like okay as a father
10:40
like this is how I can all my kids
10:41
progress you get I don’t care my kids
10:43
are successful I want them to be but
10:44
like it gives me this connection with
10:46
them and that’s what make me pull my
10:48
money out and so I don’t think it was
10:51
like if the webinar doesn’t talk much
10:52
about that like that’s okay I don’t need
10:54
to be tweaked a bit an indoctrination
10:55
stuff I was thinking like one thing I
10:57
want to capture when we’re here is it
11:00
wanna go somewhere branded and film this
11:01
I want to capture like your guys’s story
11:03
and your guys a story cuz that’s what’s
11:05
key in the indoctrination sequence is
11:09
why should the parent care about this is
11:11
because of that like the the
11:12
relationship with their kid
11:13
strengthening and that bond they’ll get
11:16
from this process is that’s what’s
11:17
exciting the extra my kids be
11:19
successfully internals I want connection
11:20
with my kids I think how do we bring
11:22
that up in this process
11:23
that’s what’s gonna increase conversions
11:25
and get the parents to show up give the
11:26
kid the parents pushing it hard is when
11:28
they when they see this storage with you
11:31
guys individually with your with your
11:32
kids cuz that’s that’s the interesting
11:33
thing I think alright now that I
11:34
understand exactly who they created
11:36
webinar for and had a chance to actually
11:37
watch it it’s really fun it was really
11:39
unique webinar which was cool but was
11:41
even more fun as they showed me they’ve
11:43
done a couple test runs with this and
11:45
actually had a bunch of parents and kids
11:46
watch it and I sent me a video clip I
11:49
showed me a video clip on their phone
11:50
what one of the parents did after they
11:52
watch it with their teenagers I thought
11:53
it was so cool which helped me
11:55
understand they completely had hit the
11:57
target with the web class and why he has
11:59
to see this video that was sent to them
12:01
by one of their students hey girls are
12:07
you guys wanting to do this yes that’s
12:11
quite a bit of money are you guys gonna
12:14
be committed to something like this oh
12:15
my god yes so am i either in like three
12:23
books so is this like saving us
12:26
allowance for like a really long time
12:27
where you’re gonna like do laundry or
12:30
something dishes this is like anything
12:33
to get money yes so it’s a good thing I
12:36
read about it for you guys alright so
12:43
now we know the background work I
12:45
understand their stories I’ve seen the
12:46
webinar now it’s where we actually get
12:48
down to actually start building out the
12:50
funnel so the first thing I want to
12:51
share with Emily and Caleb is this
12:52
strategy guide
12:53
what is the funnel we’re gonna create
12:54
but then how does it work what are all
12:56
the pages and where are we taking
12:57
somebody through the
12:58
and the first page of me focusing on in
13:00
this funnel is a webinar registration
13:02
page
13:03
we’re in cool graphics on there it’ll
13:04
speak to the kids they’re also the
13:06
appealing for the adult because although
13:08
we want kids to come to watch it
13:10
adults are the ones that actually have
13:11
money now on the registration page what
13:13
I want to do is I wanna make a really
13:14
fun video of Emily and Caleb kind of
13:15
playing around having your time and on
13:17
this registration page we’re actually
13:18
giving away a hoverboard on the live
13:21
webinar and so we want to show them
13:22
riding around on a hoverboard having
13:24
some fun and getting people excited
13:25
about the prize they can win if they
13:27
show up on the web class with their
13:28
parents what’s up guys Kayla Maddox here
13:33
I’m 14 years old and this is Emily Shay
13:35
and I’m 11 years old and we have
13:37
something really cool going on we’re
13:39
doing a show called age is just a number
13:42
cake this is gonna be an awesome show
13:44
we’re giving away a free hug award and
13:47
we’re going to be teaching you that age
13:49
is just a number that you can live your
13:51
dream life now whatever you want to be
13:53
when you grow up you can be now and I
13:55
wrote a book so I’m living my dream life
13:57
now and you can too okay so now we
14:00
create the webinar registration page but
14:02
when somebody comes and they go and they
14:03
put their email address into register
14:05
the next step in the funnel is what we
14:06
call a thank-you page which basically
14:08
what we’re gonna do is going to thank
14:09
them for registering and then do
14:10
everything in our power to make sure
14:11
that they show up for the web class
14:13
that’s happening in the future the more
14:15
Connection we build with them on the
14:16
Thank You page the more life they are to
14:18
show up and the more likely they are to
14:19
buy the webinar registration page is all
14:22
about causing entry that makes them want
14:23
to register whereas the Thank You page
14:25
is all about building connection so they
14:27
actually show up I thought it’d be a lot
14:29
easier to capture this video this one
14:30
took a long time
14:32
come here do a serve all right and then
14:35
you’re gonna come just right up I think
14:38
just right up next to him is gonna say
14:39
like and don’t forget hoverboard and
14:42
then you can kind of go around him and
14:44
then thank you guys so much for signing
14:47
up for the age is just a number show
14:49
we’re gonna have so much fun make sure
14:51
to put in your calendar and do not miss
14:53
it don’t forget that before put it in
14:59
your calendar what what what are you
15:02
doing
15:05
don’t forget the hoverboard not miss it
15:21
put it in your calendar and don’t if you
15:26
could I know it’s hard but try to like
15:28
stop their excitement gonna be good okay
15:30
right here yes then you stop say your
15:34
line and then you can pick up again
15:40
okay thank you guys so much for signing
15:48
up for the AIDS is just a number show
15:50
make sure you don’t miss it make sure to
15:52
put it in your calendar and don’t forget
15:54
the fan and oh yeah don’t forget that
15:57
we’re gonna be giving away a free
15:59
hoverboard
16:02
all right the next videos were gonna
16:04
create are gonna be the actual videos
16:06
gonna be in the follow up sequence
16:07
between when they register when they
16:08
actually show up now if you see Emily
16:11
and Caleb on video they’re so good
16:12
they’re always very posture and very
16:14
positioned and what I want to do is I
16:15
want to capture videos they kind of took
16:16
some that away and made them more real
16:18
made them more kids telling their actual
16:20
stories of how they got started a lot of
16:22
times experts get on camera and they
16:24
vary and they like to be polished and
16:25
and and presented all the time and I
16:27
understand that but for these videos I
16:29
really want to build connection which
16:30
means we have to kind of take some of
16:31
the things away and be vulnerable
16:32
actually tell our stories the goods that
16:34
the you know the pros the cons the
16:35
positives negatives and so we’re going
16:37
to actually head back to my home we’re
16:39
gonna film those stories there we’re
16:41
gonna capture a Caleb’s story then we’re
16:43
gonna capture Emily’s story and then I
16:45
wanna capture a story of Matt and Joe
16:47
telling the story about their kids and
16:49
the connection they have with them
16:50
working with them through this process
16:51
whenever I was younger I my entire goal
16:54
was to become the shortstop’s New York
16:55
Yankees like I love baseball my favorite
16:58
thing on the planet but the problem was
16:59
I was like one of the youngest kids name
17:01
one of the shortest and probably the
17:02
worst kid on my entire team so I went up
17:05
to my dad and I said dad you know I was
17:07
like man I want to play a professional
17:08
baseball but I’m really bad right now I
17:10
got to step it up I was like what do I
17:12
have to do he said I can be the best if
17:14
I want to said I can become a
17:15
professional but he said before I can do
17:17
that I have to work so what he did is he
17:19
sat down with me and he set up three
17:21
habits that I can do every single day
17:22
and it was like one was reading one was
17:25
practicing baseball you know that was I
17:27
was hitting her fielding when one of
17:28
them was exercising probably six to
17:31
seven months after the baseball season
17:32
all that stuff I got a call to be on the
17:35
all-star team
17:35
so I’m from being the worst to become
17:37
one of the best in all of Florida
17:39
and he taught me the power of discipline
17:41
because discipline is choosing between
17:42
what you want and what you want more so
17:44
I would say I know that you don’t maybe
17:46
you want to sit home and watch TV but I
17:48
know that you want more to play
17:50
professional baseball and that’s how he
17:52
pushed me so yes it was hard but my dad
17:54
was always there to support me if I were
17:56
just like if I can help one kid have a
17:58
vision if I get up one kid focus if I
18:01
get up one kid live their dream life now
18:03
it would all be worth it and that’s
18:05
that’s kind of the story of the first
18:06
the first person that I helped and that
18:08
feels me every single day it’s
18:10
that little kids out there and one day
18:12
he’s gonna be massively successful doing
18:13
amazing things do you have a sales
18:19
funnel that’s underperforming or do you
18:21
know you need a cellphone if you have no
18:22
idea where to start what to do if so and
18:25
you’d like my help then go to funnel
18:27
hackathon comm and find out how you can
18:28
have me and my team help you with your
18:30
cell phone
18:32
[Music]
18:35
[Applause]
18:36
[Music]
18:38
when I was in third grade there was this
18:41
huge thing I don’t know if you heard of
18:42
it
18:42
rainbow loom and it was everywhere and I
18:45
I went and everybody thought it was the
18:47
coolest thing everybody was gathering
18:48
around this girl and I was like hey I’ll
18:50
pay for it and she was like no and then
18:52
and then after I came home I was like
18:54
way I can make money off of this so I
18:58
just I went and I got a bunch of rainbow
19:00
loom my mom helped me make the bracelets
19:02
and I’m the playground I’d have
19:04
bracelets all the way up to here and on
19:06
each arm and I would just be like hey
19:08
you want a bracelet and then people
19:10
would give me like five dollars and I’d
19:11
be like taking them out and by the end
19:13
of the day they’d all be off my arm and
19:14
I’d have like 40 or 50 dollars and my
19:16
pocket money like I like this when I
19:18
first got my book and I held it into my
19:21
hand I looked at it and I was like wow
19:24
I’m an author and I’m so excited to tell
19:27
all my friends before my book was
19:29
actually made I had like order forms and
19:32
I was out there hustling so we tried to
19:34
car dealership and we just killed it
19:36
like she was in there for an hour but
19:37
she talked to like 50 people because
19:39
there’s all these you know everybody’s
19:40
in this car dealership make probably on
19:42
average 100 to 150 per car dealership so
19:45
that became the target audience and we
19:46
focused exclusively on those the book I
19:48
guess just impresses a lot of people my
19:51
goal for my book was actually to start
19:53
up my business called Emily sleepover
19:55
show so I made a goal for three thousand
19:57
dollars he’s on one of this whole
19:58
awesome set and I wanted cameras and a
20:01
Mac and I wanted all this awesome
20:04
technology and I was like two thousand
20:06
dollars to cover it I thought that was
20:07
the most money in the world like oh my
20:09
gosh I’m gonna be a thousand there
20:11
that’s awesome one day of sales can
20:13
bring me up another thousand if I if I
20:16
go for a certain amount of time and I
20:18
just kept going and then I in the
20:20
morning when I counted that I was out
20:21
there like nine thousand I was like okay
20:24
ten thousand and I went over again I was
20:26
at about fifteen thousand and I was like
20:27
okay twenty thousand dollars that’s a
20:30
good number
20:31
and then at when I got when I got there
20:33
I just I stopped you don’t watch your
20:36
next funnel it’s so then go to to combo
20:39
Cup coaching calm
20:41
hey parents what’s up if you’re seeing
20:44
this video it’s because you’re either
20:45
about to watch the show or you’ve
20:47
already watched the show and we’re super
20:49
excited to share this whole moment and
20:51
experience with you and your kids Matt
20:52
what do you think about this whole
20:53
experience well first of all it tells me
20:55
a lot about you as a parent the fact
20:57
that you took the time to watch this
20:59
with your kids like my friend mr. Miyagi
21:02
says oh no such thing as bad student
21:06
only bad teacher so you know we as
21:09
parents oh my god I got I got to train
21:12
him on the mr. Miyagi isms you know Joe
21:14
that’s why Joe hangs with me so I could
21:16
show him how to be a better we got this
21:18
little fan turn going back and forth you
21:19
know we’re the parents of two super
21:21
successful kids we hang out all the time
21:23
but we have fun we do but guys seriously
21:26
it’s such an incredible experience and
21:29
if you’ve already if you’ve already
21:29
watched the show you know for ages just
21:31
a number but it’s such an incredible
21:33
experience to hear your kids talk about
21:35
their dreams share some of the struggles
21:37
they’re having at one point in the show
21:39
if you haven’t seen it yet we even
21:40
talked about some of the obstacles they
21:42
feel or some of the ways people maybe
21:43
other adults or other kids make them
21:45
feel about their dreams and it’s so I
21:47
opening and you know you may shed a tear
21:49
or so too but it’s really gonna help
21:51
your kid realize that anything’s
21:54
possible now like the world has changed
21:55
and they can do incredible things just
21:58
like Emily and Caleb are doing and just
21:59
like all the stories we share on the
22:01
show yeah so parents thank you so much
22:03
you know Joe and I believe in you we
22:05
believe in your kids we can’t wait to
22:07
see what happens we do know this because
22:09
we’ve seen in our own kids life Caleb
22:11
and Emily man they’re having so much fun
22:12
because you know why they’ve learned the
22:14
power of having a positive attitude and
22:16
also believing in themselves and we as
22:19
parents could make a huge difference in
22:21
that by being our kids biggest fans and
22:24
their biggest cheerleaders and if I can
22:26
just leave you with this and I always
22:28
tell parents that come up and ask me you
22:30
know if you could give me one one thing
22:32
that helped Caleb or Emily you know it’d
22:34
be this you know what for every time you
22:36
correct them tell them ten things they
22:38
did right just catch them doing right
22:40
more so hey we love you guys whatever
22:42
the next step in the process is take
22:44
that next step you’re gonna be glad that
22:46
you did and you’re gonna regret it if
22:47
you don’t we’re looking forward to your
22:49
kids being a part of the kids for
22:51
success movement now if we do this right
22:53
after webinars done then we go
22:54
to Facebook we start buying some ads
22:56
there was an example of say we spent a
22:57
thousand dollars on Facebook ads and
22:59
depending on the webinar and the market
23:01
the prices are always going to change
23:02
let’s just say for this example we spend
23:04
about $1 per click that means to be a
23:06
thousand clicks that come to the
23:07
registration page now of those thousand
23:09
clicks my goal is to get at least thirty
23:10
percent of those people to register for
23:12
the webinar and means three hundred
23:13
people from this thousand actually
23:15
registered for the webinar no of those
23:17
300 people we need about twenty percent
23:18
of those people to show up or about
23:20
sixty people then I know we’re on target
23:21
to hit our numbers from those 60 people
23:23
to actually show up to the webinar my
23:25
goal is to get at least 10 percent of
23:26
those people to sign up for our program
23:28
that’s six people and 997 dollars and
23:30
then from the replay sequence we should
23:32
double how many people we sell on the
23:33
live webinar then the goal is for them
23:35
to be able to put a thousand dollars in
23:37
the Facebook ads each week and get
23:38
twelve thousand dollars back out and
23:39
then we just do that week in and week
23:41
out every single week until it has a two
23:43
comma Club now if for some reasons the
23:44
numbers don’t work when we explain then
23:46
we split those numbers and see what
23:47
didn’t work let’s say for example the
23:49
registration page doesn’t get thirty
23:50
percent only gets ten percent then we
23:52
know we need to fix and change the
23:54
registration page let’s say whether the
23:55
registration page does get thirty
23:57
percent but then only two percent are
23:58
buying on the webinar then we know we
24:00
need to change the webinar all we do is
24:01
after we drive some traffic we look at
24:03
what’s broken we fix it we tweak it we
24:05
test a couple things and try to get
24:06
those numbers to work and as soon as we
24:07
got those numbers to work now we have a
24:09
funnel the weekend scale all right so
24:11
now that the funnel is done and all the
24:12
videos are created now time to start
24:14
folks is gone and talking about
24:16
traffic’s gonna take them over to John
24:17
parks and my team let him meet with them
24:19
and walk them through exactly how to get
24:20
traffic into this funnel well this is
24:22
traffic central welcome so the whole
24:24
idea with these with these Facebook
24:26
videos that you’re doing awesome at is
24:29
that I think we can turn them into like
24:31
conversions I think we can make money
24:32
off of them we’ve got one guy from zero
24:35
followers on his page a brand new page
24:37
up to 22,000 followers in about 22 days
24:43
right like just this so this was the one
24:46
that was doing the best before we got a
24:47
new winner and this is why you do
24:49
Facebook live videos all the time like
24:52
people like to do snapchat and I think
24:54
snapchat is great but I’m always like do
24:58
Facebook live is often you just why not
25:00
right because Facebook live is where you
25:02
can make money all the videos that are
25:04
working for you Caleb you’re not sharing
25:06
content you’re not sharing like how
25:08
- you’re sharing motivation right those
25:10
are the ones that are working for you
25:11
the ones that I’m seeing are working for
25:12
you and motivation I’m thinking it can
25:16
be done a lot quicker well how - is like
25:18
I’ve got to teach you something so I
25:19
need five minutes to do it all right so
25:21
now we are at the end of the day and
25:22
honestly we’re all tired it’s been a
25:24
long day of strategy and filming videos
25:27
and building funnels and understanding
25:29
traffic and all these different pieces
25:30
and now now I wanted to get back to the
25:32
part of the day that I am most excited
25:33
for so we’re gonna take Emily and Caleb
25:35
back to my home and we’re gonna let them
25:36
play with my kids for a while we have a
25:37
good time and then I’m so excited as
25:39
Emily and Calum agreed to give a special
25:41
presentation to my kids and some of
25:43
their friends to help them understand
25:45
that that for them like age is literally
25:47
just a number doesn’t matter if you’re
25:48
11 years old or if you’re 99 years old
25:50
you can have success in anything you
25:52
want in life
25:53
as long as you understand some core
25:54
principles you want to write a book you
25:56
can do if you want to make money you can
25:57
do it if you want to change the world
25:58
you can do it and I’m so excited to have
26:00
Emily and Caleb to speak to my kids and
26:02
help cast that vision and help change
26:04
their mindsets they know what’s possible
26:05
for them in their lives my name’s Emily
26:10
I’m 11 years old
26:12
about to be 12 and I really enjoyed
26:15
sleepovers and I wanted to make money
26:17
when I was about nine years old so I
26:20
went to my dad and I asked him I told
26:23
him I want money so he told me to go
26:25
start a business he wouldn’t give me any
26:26
money of course start a business and I’m
26:29
like okay what about he told me to do
26:32
what I love and I love sleepovers at the
26:34
time because girls sleepover parties
26:36
were who are you learn to like
26:37
sleepovers all of them so I wrote my own
26:40
book called the five steps to for a good
26:42
sleepover and I went door-to-door and I
26:45
sold my book and I made $20,000 like
26:47
that was the question I asked myself
26:48
like what stopped me from I in the book
26:49
now so I literally went in my room I
26:51
pulled out the notes on my phone I
26:52
started typing and within like two to
26:55
three weeks I didn’t I had my book all
26:57
done we published it but I made over a
26:58
hundred thousand dollars from that book
27:00
but more importantly I’ve impact a lot
27:02
of people so I’m super excited who’s
27:04
ready to become successful you guys all
27:06
ready y’all ready successful I love that
27:09
you are already successful
27:11
I don’t from Caleb that you can be
27:15
successful right now you don’t have to
27:17
wait into you’re like 18 and you’re
27:20
actually like in the dole you can
27:22
actually like a write a story and like
27:24
Emily go door-to-door selling it and I’m
27:27
like have thousands of dollars routines
27:29
I like things that help your goal come
27:32
like a go sidekick to help someone
27:36
achieve their goal Caleb and Emily
27:39
inspired me who are not like give up but
27:44
like succeed not turn back like give up
27:48
it was really important that I heard
27:51
this so I have a motivation to go
27:53
through what they did so someday I I can
27:57
be successful too Emily’s only 11 and
28:00
she like has 20 grand already from
28:02
selling a book cuz she set her mind to
28:05
that so now I know I could do what I
28:08
really want to do if I can set my mind
28:11
to it and work on my three goals
28:13
everyday so cool thing is like my kids
28:15
like I’ve tried to teach my kids to
28:17
forever I try to read them good books I
28:19
given books tonight they were taking
28:21
notes they were listening they were
28:23
setting goals they were to making
28:24
commitments like I can’t get my
28:25
commitments they’re making commitments
28:27
and it was just a unique experience and
28:30
it’s exciting for me as a dad because
28:33
I’m always trying for you like I mean
28:34
for us like how our kids turnouts kind
28:37
of like probably the biggest reflection
28:38
upon success for us as parents and
28:41
you’re always trying to do things and
28:42
most time it feels like it’s falling on
28:43
deaf ears and this experience was cool
28:45
because we’re able to share it together
28:47
as a family but then also seen them so
28:50
excited and doing those things and and
28:52
actually having desires now it’s like
28:55
wanna go read a book like you learn what
28:56
you want a book that that’s not normal
28:58
and it was amazing so I’m just grateful
29:00
for Caleb and Emily and I hope that
29:03
anyone that has children go through this
29:06
process with them so that you can
29:08
experience it and you’ll see how it can
29:10
not only you but and not only them but
29:13
us as a family all right so it’s been a
29:18
super fun trip so far and Emily and
29:21
Caleb had to fly home with their parents
29:22
and so the last thing one do before they
29:24
jump on the plane was taken back to the
29:26
office and give them some bunch of
29:28
funnel swag or give them hats and
29:30
t-shirts and backpacks everything we can
29:32
so they can be true funnel hackers
29:37
unbelievably continue to amaze us so you
29:45
can stick things right now that you like
29:47
all right you just like working with
29:48
those are deaths we’ve had amazing last
29:50
two days all right now after Emily and
30:03
Caleb flew away from Boise like many
30:06
business partnerships do they decide
30:07
they didn’t want to continue on the same
30:09
path and so unfortunately that funnel
30:11
never actually went live but what’s cool
30:13
about is they were able to take each of
30:14
those assets the stories we captured the
30:16
different things we created and use them
30:17
in their own specific businesses moving
30:19
forward now since then Caleb’s been
30:21
focusing on his new book program called
30:23
Summa success where every single month
30:25
kids including my kids get books and
30:27
Caleb’s right in the mail a chance to
30:29
read them and they have a chance to
30:30
learn from now Caleb when he was here in
30:32
Boise one thing he told me is that when
30:34
he was a kid his dad would give him
30:35
success books and every time he would
30:37
read a success book he has to write a
30:39
little report on it and he get a $20
30:40
bill and so since then I’ve had that
30:42
I’ve had the same deal with my kids so
30:44
every month they get a book from Caleb
30:45
and they read the whole thing they’d
30:47
righted a little report and they were
30:48
paying him $20 and that’s what Caleb’s
30:50
doing at Summa success com
30:54
an Emily shifted her focus to teach kids
30:57
how to actually make money and start
30:58
their own businesses without losing
31:00
their childhood and she teaches this on
31:01
a web class you can go for free and see
31:03
and the biz kids show.com one more
31:08
marketing secrets if so then go get your
31:11
copies of my two best-selling books book
31:13
number one is called expert secrets and
31:15
you get a free copy at expert seekers
31:17

31:19
secrets and you get your free copy at
31:21

31:24
you’ll find my top thirty five secrets
31:26
and we’ve used to become the
31:27
fastest-growing non VC back-sass startup
31:30
company in the world now I was so
31:33
impressed with both Emily and Caleb and
31:35
had such a good time with them out here
31:36
and my kids ever since they were here
31:39
have really looked up to them and have
31:41
have changed as kids it’s been such a
31:43
cool thing and because of that I wanted
31:45
them to actually come and speak at
31:46
funnel hacking live in front of 1,500
31:48
entrepreneurs and tell their story so
31:50
that everybody could see that again just
31:52
like their message talks about over and
31:54
over and over again the age is just a
31:55
number that anybody can have success
31:57
when you’re following the right
31:58
principle it doesn’t matter if you’re 11
32:00
years old or if you’re a hundred years
32:01
old you can have success through this
32:03
process and so they had a chance to go
32:05
and speak now I don’t know about you but
32:06
for most people standing in front of
32:08
1500 the crazies entrepreneurs on planet
32:10
earth is intimidating it’s a scary thing
32:12
but both of them stood up there and they
32:14
gave their presentations and both of
32:16
them ended out with standing ovations it
32:17
was an amazing amazing time so what I
32:19
wanted to do to end this episode I
32:21
actually wanted to show you both of
32:23
their presentations that way if you’ve
32:24
got a kid and you want their key to your
32:26
kids to be affected by both Emily and
32:28
Caleb’s story you can show them this
32:29
episode you can watch as a family and
32:31
hopefully Emily and Caleb have the same
32:32
impact on your kids that they had on
32:34
mine so please pull up a chair pull up
32:36
some popcorn and watch these two
32:38
presentations from Final hacking live
32:40
ladies and gentlemen if you would please
32:42
stand and welcome to the stage the
32:45
princess of the pitch coming from
32:47
straight back down the middle miss Emily
32:49
Shane
32:50
are there any photo lockers in the
32:52
building oh come on you can do better
32:56
than that
32:56
are there any photo hackers so I’m just
33:03
a kid so I’m gonna need a little help up
33:06
here
33:06
so we’re gonna play a little game who
33:09
likes games I like games so every good
33:14
game needs a good reward so let’s see I
33:19
have Chris got cookies see Dave I got
33:26
more and more yeah so here’s how you win
33:36
when I point over to this side of the
33:38
room I want you all to say uh-huh
33:42
let’s try and when I point over here I
33:46
want you to say yes ma’am
33:49
okay when I point to the middle I want
33:52
you to give me a big Jancy
33:54
rootin’-tootin Dallas Cowboy sighs yeah
33:58
and whoever does the best cowboy dance
34:02
Kingdom stuff will get extra cookies so
34:08
let’s try it
34:17
shy over here ain’t got any over here
34:45
yet who wants them bad though sorry I’m
34:53
working on it
34:59
so speaking of Girl Scout cookies this
35:02
is where my story started because when I
35:04
was 10 years old I really wanted a phone
35:07
and the only way I could get a phone was
35:10
to sell Girl Scout cookies cuz it was
35:12
one of their little prized things but
35:16
based on Girl Scouts generous
35:18
compensation plan I I only had to get
35:23
one phone I only had to sell ten billion
35:26
dollars in Girl Scout cookies in that
35:27
hopper you reward me with one phone not
35:30
including my monthly plan so I had what
35:35
we here in Texas called problem one I
35:38
didn’t one I didn’t want to work as an
35:41
employee for Girl Scouts and two I
35:44
didn’t have any money so I did what any
35:48
sweet innocent fun-loving all-american
35:57
ten-year-old girl would do for money I
35:59
searched my dad gene pockets for some
36:01
extra cash
36:04
no no I’m just kidding on our next
36:06
daddy-daughter day I asked my daddy for
36:08
some money you know what he said to me
36:11
he said cashing outside how about that
36:14
and I said ain’t nobody got time for
36:17
that so he’s actually he said if you
36:24
want some money you should start a
36:25
business so that so I did I was a good
36:29
idea don’t you think thanks dad
36:35
oh and while I’m thanking people I’d
36:36
like to thank mr. Russell Brunson is
36:38
he’s in the room I’d like thank mr.
36:40
Bunsen for allowing me on this stage you
36:43
mr. Brunson a big man class and he’s
36:48
taught me a lot about marketing and
36:49
success and I’m really thankful for that
36:51
and also Kaela Maddox who introduced me
36:54
to he’s in the back room Kaela Maddox
36:56
introduced me to roster Brunson so I
36:57
wouldn’t be here without him Thank You
36:58
Caleb anyway so that’s what I did I
37:04
started a business helped little girls
37:06
have the perfect sleepover
37:07
to get the word out about my business I
37:10
wrote a book called the five steps to of
37:12
horrific sleepover and I went
37:15
door-to-door selling my book that didn’t
37:20
happen so I went door-to-door selling my
37:27
book and in that process I hit every car
37:32
dealership from Jack from all the way up
37:34
to Jacksonville Florida all the way
37:36
almost down to Miami and car dealerships
37:39
for my target audience by the way but
37:40
I’ll explain to you what that is some
37:42
other time
37:44
and I learned how to pitch and sell and
37:48
overcome objections I made over $20,000
37:50
and
37:54
thank you and the best part is I got my
37:58
phone but yeah I know that sounds
38:05
awesome but the truth was once I got
38:07
good at it I got tired of getting in the
38:10
car and driving around all day just to
38:12
make a quick 800 bucks yeah it was rough
38:19
you know it was it was in that struggle
38:22
mr. Brunson why have these these
38:25
external struggles of getting to my
38:27
target audience car dealerships and
38:29
these these internal struggles of of one
38:32
of wanting to meet my goals but still be
38:35
a kid and not work all day that as I
38:37
face this wall in front of me I had
38:43
right
38:49
I had what I personally like to call an
38:53
epiphany seriously people write this
39:00
down this is good stuff
39:01
someone should write a book about this
39:03
hey I realized that the reason I
39:10
originally spoke to car dealers because
39:11
it allowed me to speak to more people at
39:13
one time
39:14
and I didn’t have to make my dad or my
39:17
mom drive to a different place
39:19
for every sale I could go to one place
39:22
and talk to 30 40 or even 50 people all
39:24
at one time so it’s that’s why I started
39:27
doing car dealerships in the first place
39:28
but I got tired of it so we started
39:30
thinking what if I could sell online
39:34
what if there was a way to get my
39:36
message out there in a way that broke it
39:38
into a step-by-step process but no it
39:42
was too much for a kid you know building
39:44
out web pages and computer code there’s
39:46
just too much tech stuff you know so but
39:52
what if someone somewhere made that the
39:56
training and the technology so easy to
39:59
use that even a little kid could do it
40:03
and then I learned about this amazing
