00:00
welcome to funnel hacker radio podcast
00:02
where we go behind the scenes and
00:05
uncover the tactics and strategies top
00:07
entrepreneurs are using to make more
00:09
sales dominate their markets and how you
00:12
can get those same results here is your
00:14
host Dave Woodward hey everybody welcome
00:18
to funnel hacker radio I’m your host
00:19
Dave Woodward and I am super super
00:21
excited today I have the opportunity
00:22
having John Ashcroft with us today
00:24
so John welcome hey Dave great to be on
00:27
this is exciting for me I first was
00:29
introduced to you I think at probably
00:30
how most people were you know a few
00:32
years ago with everything that you did
00:34
with a secret but I think that’s a kind
00:37
of shizer isn’t even close to what
00:39
you’ve actually done over time here and
00:41
I I was great as I kind of went through
00:43
some of their your accomplishments and
00:45
things I had no idea you’d vote you were
00:46
involved in real estate I actually got
00:50
into real estate when I was 19 years old
00:52
in June of 1980 so that just ages me a
00:56
bit but I was super super impressed as I
01:00
was kind of going through that I mean I
01:01
was talking to a couple of the people on
01:03
your team they’re saying yeah he’s
01:04
actually done it he’s don’t go five
01:06
multi-million dollar companies and was
01:08
one of those I think those Remax with
01:10
Indiana did like almost 5 billion in
01:12
sales I mean 5 billion with a B that’s
01:13
those are crazy crazy numbers yeah we
01:16
were we were the number one real estate
01:18
company in Indiana after about five
01:20
years and and then I retired actually
01:23
from that in 1997 and took a couple
01:27
years off to have some fun and then in
01:29
1999 I got involved with a couple of my
01:32
buddies in an internet startup and we
01:35
grew from six of us to 1500 in just over
01:40
a year and we were doing 10 million a
01:41
month in revenue on the 9th month and
01:43
then we did a an IPO on NASDAQ in
01:47
September of 1999 and we had a market
01:51
cap at that time of two and a half
01:53
billion dollars which was just an
01:55
incredible ride that his crate was Jim
01:57
bunch part of that we did I hired Jim
02:00
bunch on my team I got I remember him
02:02
mentioning that and it was really really
02:05
cool I thought that was one of the
02:06
things that was really super fun and and
02:08
I think again he’s talked so much about
02:10
it and
02:12
we’ll save that for another time but I
02:14
want to kind of jump right into some
02:15
stuff that you’re doing right now
02:16
because you’ve had the opportunity of
02:18
working with a ton of different
02:19
entrepreneurs over your life’s cycle
02:22
here in business and those people who
02:24
are listening to our podcast we’ve got
02:26
everybody who’s just kind of getting
02:27
started to those who have been doing
02:28
this for quite some time and you’ve
02:31
really kind of mastered the whole mental
02:34
game of becoming an entrepreneur which I
02:36
think it’s probably one of the hardest
02:37
things for for most entrepreneurs and
02:39
salespeople is the whole mental side of
02:41
things yeah absolutely it’s actually the
02:44
mental / emotional and you know as
02:48
you’re well aware of being a successful
02:49
entrepreneur yourself it’s you know what
02:52
do you do when when you know you have
02:54
the deck stacked against you and you
02:56
have doubts you have fears and anxieties
02:58
and negative self-talk in your head and
03:01
you feel like you know either smart
03:03
enough or good enough you know what to
03:05
do and it’s so difficult and you’re an
03:07
overwhelm that’s one of the areas that
03:09
you know my company neuro gym really
03:12
helps with I think better than anybody
03:14
else in the world is helping the
03:16
entrepreneurs strengthen the mental and
03:17
the emotional abilities and skills they
03:20
have so they can actually be more
03:21
empowered and they can have more control
03:24
than ever before and that’s really what
03:26
I developed as I guess a core competency
03:29
because I had a heads at one point a
03:31
thousand five hundred real estate agents
03:34
that were doing that four and a half
03:36
billion a year in sales and it was
03:38
really interesting to watch how you can
03:40
give people all of the right strategies
03:43
and tactics what to do how to do it why
03:45
they do it when to do it and they
03:47
wouldn’t do it and I was fascinated with
03:48
why aren’t you doing the stuff that we
03:50
already know yes and that’s what really
03:53
caused me to to dive into the
03:56
neuroscience and neuro psychology of
03:58
behavior and so anyway we can talk more
04:01
about that later but it’s really really
04:03
fascinating especially when you look at
04:06
it from a scientific perspective which
04:09
is you know something I love and so I’ll
04:11
let you I’ll let you lead the way and we
04:13
can have some fun with that after no it
04:15
sounds great in fact I just want to kind
04:17
of dive right into this it’s a usually
04:19
on our on this podcast we spend a lot of
04:21
time focusing more on the funnels and on
04:22
the on the actual business but I really
04:25
would like to
04:25
this one is kind of a unique podcast and
04:27
focus more on the mental and emotional
04:29
side of things but I’m sure that’s your
04:32
specialty and I’d love to kind of dive
04:33
right into this and I know for a lot of
04:35
fact I was living russell brunson and i
04:38
were talking with stu mclaren who’s
04:40
Stu’s done a ton of different launches
04:43
and things over the years for other
04:44
people and things and it was kind of
04:46
funny we literally just had this
04:46
conversation the other day he said you
04:48
know what it’s one thing when you’re
04:50
weird we were creating and building
04:52
everyone else’s product and launching
04:54
those you have all the confidence in the
04:55
world in them but when you actually have
04:57
to go and launch your own product Stu
04:58
was like oh my gosh I can’t believe
05:00
after all these years all these weird
05:02
emotions that are now coming up they can
05:04
I thought I conquered those years ago
05:05
but now he’s got the olinson you know
05:07
his own self-doubt I’m thinking gosh can
05:09
I really pull this off is this can I do
05:11
everything I say everyone else can
05:12
always do so if you don’t mind I’d like
05:14
to kind of jump right into the whole the
05:16
idea as far as fear and really the how
05:19
it plays with the entrepreneur when
05:21
they’re trying to reach their goals and
05:23
how they act how do you actually
05:24
overcome that type of a fear well I
05:27
think the first thing to realize and to
05:29
accept is you’re never going to be able
05:33
to eliminate fear from your life as long
05:37
as you are alive and let me explain when
05:40
you think about why does fear exist from
05:43
a purely neuroscience and biological
05:47
perspective there is a mechanism in the
05:50
brain a non conscious mechanism that is
05:54
analyzing everything that’s happening in
05:56
your external world outside of you and
05:58
then everything that’s happening in your
06:00
in inner world and the number one rule
06:04
for the brain is safety first that’s the
06:08
number one thing that it looks for is
06:09
your safety first so any real or
06:13
imagined danger that is part of your
06:18
inner and outer game is going to give
06:21
rise or trigger in the brain the fear
06:24
circuit and the fear circuit obviously
06:28
is an electrical signal that’s followed
06:31
by a chemical deposit into your
06:33
bloodstream and that is what actually
06:35
causes the emotion we referred to as
06:39
fear and the feeling that we feel is
06:42
total uncomfortable it’s not good or bad
06:47
emotions just are and they’re either
06:50
Pleasant or unpleasant and that’s what
06:53
we call as a feeling so number one is to
06:55
recognize that whenever you are doing
06:57
something that is outside of your
06:59
current comfort zone or that is
07:03
something you’ve tried in the past and
07:05
it didn’t work and you’ve gotten hurt
07:07
whether it’s emotionally physically
07:09
financially spiritually you will
07:13
activate the fear center of the brain
07:16
now when most people’s fear center
07:19
lights up cortisol is released in the
07:21
brain epinephrine is released as well
07:23
and that is a mechanism by which most
07:26
people will either freeze and just you
07:30
know be absolutely like deer in
07:31
headlights or they will run away in fear
07:35
and they will just revert back to being
07:37
comfortable and moving back to the
07:39
emotion of being comfortable and
07:42
pleasant versus unpleasant so you have
07:44
to recognize that if you’re looking to
07:46
grow if you’re looking to for example
07:48
you know do your own launch create a
07:51
funnel that you’ve never created before
07:54
advertise and spend some money to drive
07:56
people you know to that funnel there’s
07:59
gonna be the initial response a normal
08:03
response is known as fear so just get
08:07
over it as far as recognize that’s gonna
08:09
be there now what you can do about it is
08:12
really worthy of a little bit more
08:14
dialogue and so I’ll let you lead the
08:16
way there but understand fear is normal
08:18
fear is fine I love that I know a lot of
08:21
us as I talked a lot of different
08:22
entrepreneurs they’re always thinking
08:23
you gosh you guys you guys never seem to
08:25
be ever worried or afraid or as you guys
08:27
are launching stuff because we’ve
08:28
launched things all the time and I think
08:30
part of it is is what you just read you
08:32
know reference to the fact that you know
08:34
emotions they just are and you just kind
08:36
of you just go through it so if you
08:37
don’t mind I’d love to kind of dive
08:39
right into what you were just kind of
08:40
segwaying into there and that’s so how
08:42
do you deal with it how do you actually
08:44
overcome not necessarily overcometh but
08:46
how do you actually work through those
08:47
types of fears yes you can definitely
08:49
learn how to quiet the fear circuit and
08:52
the
08:53
emotions and so the first thing is
08:54
through awareness and so awareness is
08:57
what gives us choice unfortunately most
08:59
people don’t invest daily practices to
09:03
become more aware to become aware of
09:06
their thoughts to become aware of their
09:08
emotions to become aware of their
09:11
behaviors and so the first thing is to
09:14
become aware that there is this emotion
09:16
that I just don’t feel comfortable with
09:19
that’s number one as soon as that
09:22
happens we know that the fear circuit in
09:25
most cases has been triggered and when
09:29
that fear circuit triggers then that
09:31
chemical release is happening in the
09:33
brain and the easiest way for people to
09:36
be able to move away from the emotion is
09:40
called six breaths and what six breaths
09:43
scientifically it has been proven that
09:46
if you just become aware of the fear and
09:49
you become aware that the fear is based
09:52
on my memories okay of what may have
09:57
happened in the past to me or what I may
09:58
have read about or what I may be fearing
10:02
will happen in the future that’s what’s
10:05
causing the emotion the energy in your
10:10
body that’s in motion and what we need
10:13
to recognize is the beliefs that we have
10:16
about what may happen again aren’t the
10:20
truth they’re just some reference points
10:22
from our past conditioning and memory
10:24
banks in our brain so when you become
10:27
aware of the emotion and why this is
10:31
happening then you go to step one and
10:33
that’s the sixth breath and you just
10:35
start to breathe in through your nose
10:37
really really gently and exhale through
10:41
your mouth
10:42
six times and this should take you about
10:45
one minute to seventy or eighty seconds
10:48
now why would we do that because when
10:51
you are in this rhythmic breathing you
10:55
actually are resetting the neural
10:57
circuit in your brain to turn off the
11:01
fear circuit but to get back into a
11:04
neutral zone so that’s
11:06
one step number two is to focus on the
11:12
outcome that you want to achieve and and
11:15
part of the breathing is to manage the
11:18
emotional arousal the emotion is what
11:21
drives either behavior or stops it so
11:24
when you stop the fear circuit you
11:27
actually open up room for the
11:29
motivational circuit to actually kick
11:31
back in and the way you do that is you
11:34
focus on the outcome of what you want to
11:37
achieve and so it’s kind of like driving
11:40
your car when the fear circuit kicks in
11:43
the brake just went on when you take
11:46
your foot off the brake through six
11:48
breath you can then put your foot back
11:49
on the gas and make forward momentum in
11:51
motion so that is just a couple of
11:54
simple little things as awareness
11:56
breathing focus on the outcome you want
11:59
and that will remove the immediate
12:01
emotion unpleasant emotion that holds
12:05
most entrepreneurs back from achieving
12:07
the success they want I love that I love
12:10
the idea as far as six breaths that’s we
12:12
we’re actually in the process right now
12:14
working with a couple of other guys as
12:17
far as great some products and one is
12:18
you know in this whole biohacking
12:19
industry and I’ve been amazed to learn
12:22
the impact of breath
12:24
it’s just I mean it has so many
12:27
emotional physiological a it’s just
12:29
crazy I had no idea getting involved in
12:32
this how big of a deal breathing was
12:33
yeah every every thought you have
12:36
actually produces an electrical and
12:39
corresponding chemical for that thought
12:42
positive thought positive chemical
12:45
negative thought or unpleasant thought
12:47
potential consequence or pain causes
12:51
that negative stream of of release from
12:56
the thalamus into the bloodstream crazy
12:58
stuff very cool well tell us a little
13:00
bit more about as we start looking at
13:02
this idea of you know we’ve now talked
13:04
about fear and things in that area one
13:07
of the things most people are most
13:08
concerned about is I talked to them is
13:09
as you made mention all right Johnny
13:11
that they have this this memory bank of
13:13
past failures or mistakes or anything
13:16
else and I know you’ve kind of hinted
13:18
at this little bit as far as your the
13:20
ideas for is disappointment avoidance
13:22
you don’t mind if you can kind of
13:23
explain that a little more yeah one of
13:26
the things that a lot of the top
13:29
neuroscientists and neuropsychology
13:30
experts have really shown in the last
13:33
number of years that holds most people
13:36
back and the disappointment of void it’s
13:39
actually falls into the category of
13:41
fears that hold people back so let me
13:44
explain imagine you’ve set a goal in the
13:47
past and you haven’t achieved it oh well
13:49
you’ve disappointed yourself and you
13:51
know it I know well I may not know but
13:53
you know what you’ve done that two or
13:55
three times four times five times let’s
13:58
say you’ve shared that goal with your
14:00
children or your spouse or significant
14:03
other your brother your sister your
14:04
mother your father doesn’t make a
14:05
difference one of the things we know
14:08
from the research is the brain again
14:11
will do more to avoid pain than it will
14:15
to gain pleasure now when we’re talking
14:18
about pain it doesn’t have to be
14:20
physical pain emotional pain is
14:23
registered just as powerfully as
14:26
physical pain is so when the analysis of
14:30
a behavior is happening at a non
14:32
conscious level of your brain at 400,000
14:35
bits of information per second trillions
14:37
of things going on your brain at once is
14:39
being analyzed then if your brain has
14:43
even the slightest memory or future
14:49
thought that you might disappoint
14:51
yourself or somebody else again boom
14:54
that circuit lights up and you will do
14:58
more to avoid the disappointment than
15:01
you will to actually take action and
15:04
this happens extremely subtly and it’s a
15:08
it’s a matter of really asking you know
15:11
questions when we when we have
15:14
disappointment avoidance as one of the
15:16
things that is holding us back an easy
15:20
thing to do is take a piece of paper and
15:24
we call this this little thing I’m going
15:26
to share with you inner size and again
15:28
inner size or mental and emotional you
15:30
know either gain
15:31
or practices to help you get over the
15:35
hump so you take a little sheet of
15:36
exercise and say yourself okay so I want
15:39
to take this action I want to do this
15:41
but I’m really fearful of disappointing
15:44
myself again I’m really fearful of
15:46
disappointed in meri or Harry or Sally
15:48
or barrier my boss or my dad or my mom
15:51
whatever the case is and when you say
15:53
well what if you didn’t disappoint them
15:57
how would you then feel and you write on
16:01
a sheet of paper how you would feel if
16:02
you didn’t disappoint them that’s number
16:04
one then you write down well if I
16:07
disappointed them how would that make me
16:10
feel and obviously it would make it feel
16:13
lousy make me feel guilty maybe feel
16:17
ashamed or make me feel embarrassed and
16:19
then the real question is why would
16:23
disappointing somebody else make you
16:25
feel embarrassed or ashamed or guilty
16:27
and the answer is because of the meaning
16:29
you’re giving disappointment and so what
16:33
if you just changed the meaning of
16:36
disappointment because disappointment to
16:39
a lot of people also means I failed
16:42
again and when people think of failure
16:46
most people confuse a strategy or a
16:50
tactic that I tried with me being a
16:54
failure and so the first thing to do is
16:58
separate your efforts with your identity
17:03
that is awesome I’m actually taking
17:06
notes as we’re going through this
17:08
failure from your identity if you are in
17:12
marketing which I know everybody
17:14
listening to here is you are going to
17:17
fail your strategies and tactics are
17:20
gonna fail more than the ones that
17:22
succeed you have to separate your tests
17:27
your efforts with from who you are and
17:32
just remember that failing is part of
17:36
the recipe for success the beautiful
17:39
thing that I love about what you guys do
17:41
in Russells Russell’s work is is its
17:43
paint-by-number it’s like we’ve already
17:45
10,000 times just do these five things
17:47
that we already know work you know so
17:50
that’s the beauty of you know following
17:53
and standing on the shoulders of giants
17:56
is you can already you know bypass the
17:58
ten thousand things that that we figured
18:00
out doesn’t work but again remember
18:03
separate who you are this beautiful
18:06
amazing spiritual genius loving
18:11
individual from a pattern that holds
18:15
most people back like disappointing
18:17
themselves or others oh that’s awesome
18:19
love that idea I think that gosh you
18:23
made mention so many different things
18:25
and that is I love also the idea as far
18:26
as the meaning that you give your
18:28
emotions I think such a so many of us
18:32
get caught up in the idea that well this
18:34
means something and it’s like who gave
18:36
it that meaning and have you changed
18:38
what that actually means I think that’s
18:39
fantastic fantastic content tell me if
18:43
you don’t mind
18:44
John is we kind of we’re looking into
18:46
this actually I was at dinner gosh
18:49
probably about monthly ago with one of
18:52
your copywriters John Bo’s oh yeah
18:54
and it was really kind of funny you
18:56
mentioned this whole inner science thing
18:58
and he and I were sitting together and
18:59
and we were just you know talking about
19:01
some of the different things we were
19:02
doing and and his work with you and he’s
19:04
doing some coffee for us as well and and
19:06
I was amazed as he started talking about
19:08
this whole inner size thing and it would
19:11
I’ve heard again my wife’s been involved
19:13
in exercise and all this kind of stuff
19:15
forever but I never had heard the term
19:17
inner sighs how did you come up with
19:19
that I mean what’s what’s the basis
19:21
behind inner sighs a great question
19:24
well many years ago when I was 19 so 55
19:27
now when I was 19 my first mentor taught
19:32
me how to you know set goals create your
19:33
plans create your timelines but he then
19:37
also said something to me that I didn’t
19:40
know anything about at the time but he
19:41
talked me about you also have to upgrade
19:42
your beliefs and your perceptions about
19:45
what’s what’s possible your beliefs
19:46
about yourself you’ve got to change your
19:49
habits and these are all patterns in
19:51
your brain that you’ve been conditioned
19:53
to have by your parents your teachers
19:55
your experiences etc and so I said well
19:58
great well
19:59
how do I change my beliefs and he says
20:01
well first instead of believing what
20:03
somebody else told you is true about
20:05
yourself why don’t we just write out a
20:07
few beliefs that you want to believe
20:09
about yourself and I said yeah and then
20:12
what he says well what I want you to do
20:14
is I want you to read them every day I
20:16
want you to emotionalize them and and
20:18
visualize them and feel as if you are a
20:22
Hollywood actor that had to feel these
20:25
beliefs were true he says if you did
20:28
what a Hollywood actor actors did you
20:30
know with beliefs and perceptions about
20:32
you being successful every day and you
20:35
visualized it and emotionalized it and
20:37
you develop the new pattern in your
20:40
brain that it was true over time you
20:43
would start to act in ways that match
20:45
the beliefs and the perceptions and so I
20:48
didn’t know anything about my brain I
20:50
didn’t know anything about anything at
20:52
that time as far as success goes and so
20:54
he helped me write out a bunch of
20:56
beliefs and every day I would read them
20:58
in the morning every day I would read
21:00
them at night and then I recorded them
21:02
on a cassette that I would listen to
21:04
while I was driving and then I would sit
21:06
in the office and he would walk me
21:08
through some guided visualization
21:10
sessions around those beliefs around me
21:12
being more successful around me you know
21:15
driving the car that I want to derive
21:16
living in the home I want to live in me
21:18
giving to the charities that I want to
21:19
give and at first it seemed a little
21:21
weird that’s first it seemed like what
21:24
the hell are we doing what I can share
21:26
with you is going from a kid who didn’t
21:30
go to college I didn’t think I was smart
21:31
enough or good enough or deserve to
21:33
achieve success I started to feel like
21:36
well maybe I do deserve to achieve more
21:39
success maybe I am smart enough and
21:41
maybe I am good enough and as I was
21:43
doing this you know mental gate and and
21:46
practicing the emotions like a Hollywood
21:48
actor would practice his emotions or a
21:52
Hollywood actress would practice her
21:53
emotions for a role I just started to
21:57
feel differently and when I was 19 with
22:01
his help I earned just over 30 thousand
22:04
dollars in commissions in real estate
22:06
and then I earned one hundred and fifty
22:08
one thousand my second year and I just
22:12
started to believe
22:12
this worked and so I know that all of
22:16
the research around retraining your
22:20
brain reconditioning the neural patterns
22:24
is the game changer that’s helped me and
22:28
tens of thousands of our clients around
22:31
the world who inner size everyday and
22:33
inner sizing is simply taking mental and
22:38
emotional games or exercises let’s say
22:42
for your brains and emotions you know or
22:44
brain training techniques to strengthen
22:47
and repattern rewire the actual neural
22:51
networks around your confidence your
22:54
certainty your beliefs your habits your
22:56
perceptions of things that either cause
22:59
you to take action or or feel afraid and
23:02
feel like you don’t you know you don’t
23:04
feel like you deserve to achieve the
23:06
success and so when I was building
23:08
neural gym I came up with the term well
23:11
everything I’m doing is in your size
23:14
it’s it’s the exercise for my brain so I
23:17
called it inner size and I trademarked
23:19
it and then we’ve been developing inner
23:21
sizes now for four years for people who
23:24
want to make more money for people want
23:26
to grow their business for people want
23:27
to release their fears or
23:28
procrastination or and and our latest
23:30
program is winning the game of weight
23:32
loss and it’s just absolutely phenomenal
23:34
when you help people repattern and
23:39
strengthen the mental and emotional
23:40
patterns in their brain the results are
23:43
just off the chain because you eliminate
23:46
you know of them having the brakes on
23:48
and the gas on at the same time awesome
23:52
you know one of the things I was
23:53
actually kind of shocked as I was
23:55
talking with John about it earlier is
23:57
this whole idea at first and even as I
24:00
heard you even kind of talked about it
24:01
when you first started going John was it
24:03
this is so much more than just
24:05
affirmations I mean I heard the term
24:07
affirmations forever I’m like yeah yeah
24:09
yeah but as I was at dinner with John
24:11
and as you and I have talked about this
24:12
I’m just so impressed with I mean this
24:15
is such a deeper thing than just just
24:19
affirmations and I think that’s why I
24:20
love the term inner sighs did I can I
24:22
can completely relate to it from an
24:24
exercise standpoint I mean there’s
24:26
certain programs where you can really
24:28
totally change your body by following
24:30
certain exercise programs whereas other
24:32
things you look nothing’s gonna happen
24:33
at all and I think what again as I was
24:37
talking with John at dinner and I’ve
24:38
talked to you recently about this I love
24:40
the fact that you’ve you’ve coined this
24:42
as inner sighs and I also love the name
24:44
as far as the neuro gym I mean I think
24:45
of gyms all the time I thought you know
24:47
what what a cool name to have a neuro
24:48
gym a gym for your brain agenda for your
24:50
body and I think that is just amazing so
24:53
if you don’t mind that kind of just jump
24:55
right into it - what is neuro gym and
24:57
what you guys really do and I know one
24:59
things you guys also have is what’s
25:01
known as kind of like a brain Athan if
25:03
you don’t mind explored a little more in
25:04
detail about what this is sure so I’m
25:08
gonna take you back to you know when I
25:09
had 1500 those people were looking for
25:12
me we would train them we would we would
25:15
give them blueprints they were they were
25:17
working in my company so we would have
25:19
coaches consultants books back at the
25:22
end of the days I was building my
25:23
company we had Wii game cassettes we
25:25
gave him farms we gave them we gave them
25:27
blueprints we gave them everything they
25:29
needed to succeed we have training
25:31
programs and people didn’t follow
25:35
through on their own of course for
25:37
whatever reason their stories and
25:39
excuses were was bigger than their
25:42
resolve to break their own patterns and
25:45
so when I was building neuro gym I
25:49
wanted to get away from any of the
25:51
airy-fairy stuff that’s been around
25:54
personal development and so I’ve been
25:57
fortunate that you know my my passions
26:00
are neuroscience neuro psychology
26:03
biology and chemistry so I love to see
26:06
how things work together and I’ve been
26:09
around the personal development arena
26:11
for so long in as much as I’ve paid to
26:14
go to all the seminars I’ve read two
26:17
three thousand books and I wanted to
26:21
understand why is it that some people
26:23
achieve great success after going to
26:26
seminar reading a book and and others
26:28
read books and go to seminars they don’t
26:30
achieve success so I really went to the
26:32
to the scientific community to help me
26:35
figure this out so I went to individuals
26:38
at Harvard and individuals at prints
26:40
and individuals at Stanford the
26:41
individuals at Scripps in San Diego said
26:43
okay help me understand why is it that
26:46
people can have empowering beliefs and
26:49
not take action why is it that people
26:52
can have disempowering beliefs and take
26:54
action where does self-esteem or
26:56
self-worth play into the ratio of taking
26:59
action and doing what I need to do where
27:02
our habits located in the brain can you
27:05
stop a habit faster and easier than what
27:08
most people are taught can you create a
27:09
new habit and through the research over
27:12
the last 13 years the scientific
27:15
community has really helped me and my
27:18
company understand a lot of things that
27:21
the personal development history just
27:23
does not understand and so in my
27:26
building of the relationships with some
27:29
of the top brain experts in the world I
27:32
started doing something called a brain
27:35
Athan and we started the first one four
27:37
years ago and the brain Athan was me
27:40
inviting world-renowned experts that
27:43
most people have never heard of that
27:46
understand more about your beliefs and
27:49
how to get rid of your limiting ones and
27:51
create new ones and more about your
27:53
habits and how to kick a bad habit out
27:57
the window and create a new empowering
27:59
habit than any personal development
28:01
program you’ve ever gone to people that
28:03
know more about fear in and the response
28:07
in the brain and how to stop it dead in
28:09
their tracks so that you can eliminate
28:11
your fears and really kick in the
28:13
motivational circuits of your brain so
28:15
you’re taking action every single day
28:17
and so I’ve been putting together these
28:19
brain a Thon’s that have been anywhere
28:21
from like three hours to eight hours
28:23
where we’re just you know asking
28:25
questions training answering people’s
28:27
questions and really interacting with
28:30
people and that was the you know the
28:32
beginning of doing these brain a Thon’s
28:34
is giving people access to the world’s
28:38
most cutting-edge information on how to
28:41
really and I’m gonna use this power up
28:43
their brain and maximize this incredible
28:48
most sophisticated tool in the universe
28:50
according to the latest science
28:53
I think that’s fantastic I I’m so
28:56
excited to to get more involved with
28:58
this and I think the part I’m I really
29:00
appreciate you taking time to come on
29:02
and have this podcast with us day
29:03
because we have so many entrepreneurs
29:05
who they’ve that I can’t imagine any
29:08
entrepreneur who hasn’t at least had
29:10
some involvement with personal
29:11
development I mean just it’s just part
29:13
of an entrepreneur he’s you can’t do it
29:15
any other way but once you go ahead I
29:18
just want to say something I learnt this
29:21
35 years ago and I’ll share a couple
29:25
little tidbits for people is if you
29:27
think about how much you’re earning
29:28
right now then this goes for everybody
29:30
and it may be ten thousand a year maybe
29:32
a millionaire it doesn’t make a
29:33
difference the question is why are you
29:36
earning that and not three times that
29:38
and the answer is because of your belief
29:41
system the answer is because of your
29:43
habits the answer is because of your
29:45
fears and the answer is because of you
29:48
know what motivates you and your and
29:50
your big wise and so ask yourself this
29:52
question are the strategies and tactics
29:56
for how to earn two or three times more
29:59
than you’re earning right now readily
