00:48
to get to your necklace over there for
00:50
quite but not asked quite a few friends
00:51
now in that area of the world and my
00:54
kids are dying to go down south so it’d
00:57
be fun to actually travel and I know
00:59
you’ve got homes in multiple places in
01:02
Portugal also and down and Australia
01:05
viewing area as well but again I wanted
01:07
to just kind of dive in just talked
01:09
quite a bit about you and everything
01:10
you’re doing I think now in fact this is
01:13
kind of a weird thing I usually don’t
01:14
ever start a podcast off this way but I
01:16
mean tell everyone i want you guys did
01:18
you write down the suitcase so go to
01:21
suitcase entrepreneur com and i want you
01:24
to take a quiz and the quiz there
01:26
basically is are you cut out to start
01:28
and grow a freedom business and that’s
01:30
where the word and talking about today
01:31
so now if you don’t mind as the CEO and
01:33
the chief adventure of a suitcase on
01:35
chapter just kind of dive in to help
01:36
people a little bit about you and how
01:38
you got started cuz you you live the
01:40
life that so many people always dream up
01:41
and think about when it comes to
01:42
internet marketing I am so sorry can you
01:47
just sorry something just popped up on
01:50
my computer and completely distracted me
01:51
from your bacon and I was trying to get
01:54
rid of it hahaha the answer the question
01:56
I’m so sorry can you just ask that when
01:58
again and I’ll totally be fully attuned
01:59
to it I’m just shutting that out now I’m
02:02
not goodness that is why you should have
02:04
my notification shut down in a twin
02:06
thing and I was like ah there’s no
02:08
problem doll so
02:12
it is not I’m all good for this Robin’s
02:15
brother Scott not going to know what to
02:16
do with this recording doing no this is
02:20
live this is how it works every time no
02:22
sorry basically encourage people to go
02:24
to your site really Elmet I want to help
02:26
people understand you’re living the life
02:27
right now that most people dream of and
02:29
that is that whole idea is far as a
02:31
suitcase entrepreneur deal travel the
02:32
world do whatever you like you know my
02:34
kind of describe a little bit about how
02:36
you got into it why support you and then
02:39
ops ii will drop in as far as talking
02:40
more about quick donelson and why you
02:42
switched from other service and stuff to
02:44
tell us more about that right now as far
02:45
as what if she’s not tripping roll about
02:47
I’d love to for me it is all about
02:50
freedom so I’ve been chasing the idea of
02:54
freedom both personally and in business
02:56
so probably the last seven years and I
02:58
did it initially unwittingly I the
03:01
minute I had any online sales in my
03:03
business which was mainly around
03:05
education educational programs I was
03:08
like wait a minute I don’t need to stay
03:09
in Vancouver Canada where I was at the
03:11
time I could take this on the road so I
03:13
literally just packed my bag packed my
03:15
life into a suitcase and took off de
03:17
buenos aires argentina to see if i could
03:19
make it work which isn’t what most
03:21
people normally do when they have a
03:22
really great network setup in a city and
03:24
just starting to take off but i decided
03:26
to make it a little bit difficult on
03:27
myself and since then it just becomes a
03:29
subsection really so how can i have more
03:32
freedom in my life and how can i set up
03:34
a business that still to live as a ton
03:36
of value to my awesome community but
03:37
doesn’t mean I have to be working on it
03:39
and even in it at any sort of point of
03:42
time you know the ultimate dream and the
03:44
interesting thing that I’ve learnt along
03:46
the way is that I started to get you off
03:49
but i really love still working with
03:51
people and being in the company of
03:52
others and that’s why I run retreats and
03:54
events because you probably know as well
03:56
when you’re in the online world it’s
03:58
very easy to just stay quite into it or
04:01
two sometimes don’t even see people you
04:02
might have conversations each day online
04:05
but it’s not the same as being in person
04:07
so I guess I’ve worked out over the time
04:09
what’s good for my business and what’s
04:11
also good for my soul and as much as I
04:13
love automating things and having
04:15
systems in place I also still love the
04:17
human connection and interaction so it’s
04:20
been important for me to keep that part
04:22
of the business as more personal so how
04:24
do you grow up you’re Xena
04:26
good question I that’s a really great
04:30
question i think in the first couple of
04:31
years and I was hustling to just make a
04:32
business I would meet anybody anywhere
04:35
I’d hold meetups around the world every
04:37
city I was coming into in every country
04:39
i was going to i’d make sure that I
04:40
reached out to my community and we had
04:41
meet up and then interestingly what’s
04:43
happened in the last couple of years
04:45
dave is that I think I did that too much
04:47
so now I’m very very protective of my
04:49
time and my energy and I just want to
04:51
meet with awesome people who can share
04:54
things with me who can teach me
04:56
something who I can add value to them
04:57
and I’ve become much more protective of
04:59
my time and it’s been a really good to
05:02
see that I’ve got to retain enough
05:04
energy by doing my own things and
05:06
looking after me in order to be able to
05:07
give energy back to the people that I
05:09
love in my community on my list etc and
05:11
my customers so it’s been a constant
05:13
balance and I think as your business
05:15
grows you have to be more mindful of
05:17
like where the priorities are and what
05:20
you get the most out of and how you can
05:21
scale and give back to most people so
05:24
it’s always a work in progress I think
05:26
that’s fantastic i know this death
05:28
balanced to me is one of those things
05:29
that is always changing I mean drives my
05:32
wife crazy at times but I love what I do
05:34
and so I spend a ton of time doing what
05:36
I do but the one thing she’s been real
05:38
big on this last year is this year again
05:41
we’re January so I’m a whole what 24
05:43
days into this is just really being
05:46
trying to be as present as I can be when
05:48
I’m with her or when I’m with the kids
05:49
or that I get easily distracted by work
05:52
because I love what I do but at the same
05:54
time I’ve I’ve realized how important it
05:56
is that when I’m with her with him with
05:58
the boys but you know what I’m
05:59
100-percent present and I tried not to
06:01
look at my soul and I’m sure she can
06:04
start assessing penalties to me for look
06:05
at my phone or he’s just one republic
06:07
with death no I think that’s an
06:09
important things far as family goes in
06:11
just as far as relationships but you’re
06:14
out there as you build those
06:15
relationships obviously I we joked
06:17
around about we just moved from San
06:18
Diego up here to Boise and the majority
06:21
my friends actually I i was in san diego
06:24
mayor for 19 years i had just definitely
06:26
has network there and everything else
06:27
but i have traveled so much and I’ve
06:29
worked in so many different places that
06:31
the majority of the people i actually
06:32
know really well are in little around
06:35
the world right
06:35
so it’s kind of a exactly right word
06:38
yeah yeah and I think that’s the same
06:40
for me as well I live i’m currently in
06:42
Wellington New Zealand which was where I
06:44
was born but I’ve been away for a good
06:47
set of 10 years and I come back and
06:48
visit every year and I don’t have that
06:51
many people that I know here I certainly
06:52
have a small Network and it’s growing
06:54
but most of my friends are around the
06:55
world predominantly in Europe and North
06:57
America and Asia and so I love that I
06:59
get to travel to see them but also that
07:01
I’m creating experiences this year and
07:03
beyond for them to come and and be with
07:05
me partly why I’m not why I’m buying the
07:08
properties but i really want to turn my
07:09
properties into freedom houses and
07:11
places where people can come and visit
07:13
and spend time so it’s part of my plan I
07:16
don’t you become quite the real estate
07:18
developer here I know right so odd for
07:21
somebody who lives of this okay I have
07:24
three properties i just sold one but i
07:26
feel like they’re just really good
07:27
investment i’ve always loved real estate
07:29
and i think to have different revenue
07:31
streams coming in not just relying on an
07:34
online business is really smart and
07:36
second is if there’s a plan and purpose
07:38
behind it i think i’ve just really
07:39
craved a base having been living out of
07:41
a suitcase for seven years pretty much
07:42
full-time i’m now craving basis where i
07:45
can just make them my own and also
07:46
invite people into my into my home and
07:48
also have people rent them if they want
07:50
and discover what it feels like to just
07:52
be totally set up in a city of your
07:54
choice and have everything you know for
07:56
you internet fully furnished even a car
07:59
that’s the kind of aim that i’m going
08:01
for with the properties i think that’s
08:03
awesome that’s really exciting we
08:04
actually are again we’re joking around
08:07
about where we live right now in boise
08:10
area and that we so we just finished
08:13
actually my next week will be in our new
08:15
building for quick funnels and we’re
08:17
looking exactly building a house and
08:18
I’ve looked at possibly building a
08:20
second either something brought the
08:23
garage or a basement of something to
08:25
allow people basically we’ve come to
08:27
quick so i’ll actually be able to stay
08:28
so I huge real estate mind I’ve done
08:30
with trying to reel sale love it so how
08:32
that will see well so cool the only I
08:35
gonna be 50 just done with so what’s cuz
08:39
I could dive in right now for us how do
08:41
people actually do what you do how do
08:42
you what do you recommend a person what
08:46
they want to get started as far as
08:47
really enjoying this
08:49
all I did far as a suitcase contractor
08:51
how do they go about doing that we’re
08:53
something I guess I should be really
08:54
clear and what I do actually do and I
08:57
guess if I distill it down into one
08:58
thing I guess I’m really good at
09:00
monetizing you so i can see potential
09:03
and people straight away I can see the
09:05
intersection between what they’re good
09:06
at what they enjoy doing and what people
09:08
will pay them for which is the sweet
09:10
spot right but not a lot of people can
09:11
see that for themselves and I think it’s
09:13
much harder to apply that to yourself
09:14
into anybody else so in my coaching and
09:17
my online education and my courses and
09:20
even in my blogs and podcasts I’m always
09:21
trying to help people to basically
09:23
monetize themselves and really look at
09:25
what they love doing and getting paid to
09:27
do the stuff that they enjoy and a good
09:29
at because everybody has their own
09:31
unique talents that somebody else is
09:32
willing to pay them for and that has
09:36
helped me build a business around my
09:38
abilities and skills and for the longest
09:40
time I think that is to help people take
09:43
action and to simplify the complex those
09:45
are the sort of two things that I’m all
09:47
about so when it comes to tools
09:49
technology I always try to reduce the
09:51
overwhelm and say here’s the best thing
09:52
you could be doing right now and here’s
09:54
how to make it happen and I’m a huge fan
09:57
of taking action and I’m the least
09:58
favorite fan of procrastination also
10:01
known as perfectionism and I hate it
10:03
when I also get into that mode myself so
10:05
what I seduced with people wanting to do
10:07
this for themselves is to get first off
10:09
really really clear of what they want
10:11
out of business and life because where I
10:14
guess I differentiate or I would like to
10:16
see more people heading is look at what
10:19
the lifestyle that you want and then
10:21
create a business that sets it and
10:23
supports it not the other way around and
10:25
I’m going to pick on the us a little bit
10:27
here because I feel you guys worked way
10:29
too hard you take far too little in
10:32
terms of holidays and everybody sort of
10:35
a spouse is over there that I see like
10:36
you know the big deals even though I
10:38
love Gary Vaynerchuk I can’t stand the
10:39
fact that he’s like you’ve got to work
10:41
all the time you’ve got to have her like
10:42
crazy though he even said that he wanted
10:44
to clone himself so he could spend more
10:46
time with his family I’m like why not
10:47
just spend more time with your family
10:49
like years self-made billionaire and so
10:52
I guess I really want to get people out
10:53
of that mindset like life should be
10:55
happening to you right now you seem like
10:57
you’re doing great job that that it’s
10:58
right in front of you so why are you
11:00
working sorry freaking hard so that one
11:01
day you can retire in a
11:02
it as opposed to right now well I
11:05
definitely make sure I keep you away
11:06
from my wife now I can tell no but I
11:10
totally agree with you I think it’s
11:11
that’s one of the most important things
11:13
I’ve seen in any business and that is
11:15
you’ve got to be able to you work hard
11:17
but you have to play hard and you’re
11:19
probably right now I think here in the
11:20
States we probably don’t play as much as
11:21
we should yeah I mean some people do and
11:25
they’ve got it really right but it’s a
11:27
it’s a mindset shift in an attitude
11:28
shift and if you go to Europe for
11:30
example I mean those guys have it down
11:32
pat they take six weeks off minimum up
11:35
to a couple of months and you know they
11:37
don’t stress about the full-on hours
11:39
they are successful in what they do they
11:41
have a healthy dose of life and family
11:42
and career going on and they’re
11:45
genuinely happier for it often quite
11:49
often I see so less is more in most
11:52
cases and that also sort of holds true
11:55
to your working hours a few hours I give
11:58
myself in a day to work the way more
12:00
productive i am and i actually work on
12:02
the priorities as opposed to stretching
12:03
the work to fit the day so it’s just
12:05
this mindset shift about what’s
12:06
important to you you know i would love
12:08
kind of reason it’s been a little more
12:10
time on i think that is the problem most
12:12
people most people struggle with is they
12:16
never really set deadlines that they
12:17
hold themselves to and because of that
12:19
the work just keeps going and going and
12:21
going there’s never an end given kinda
12:23
goes back couple ideas you get so much
12:25
more done before you ever go on a
12:26
vacation or trip just because you know
12:28
you got to get it done and unfortunate
12:30
for a lot of us especially I see it
12:33
happen a lot with people who work from
12:35
home where it never ever ends and oh I
12:39
can do a little more a little more so
12:40
all of a sudden becomes ass obsession
12:41
and it’s not that you’re actually
12:43
getting more quality work done you’re
12:45
just working more hours and so the corn
12:47
cakes maybe you got a lot of quantity
12:48
but the quality is totally diminishes so
12:50
I agreed it’s got it how do you how do
12:53
you really help people in that area I
12:55
know it’s tough that I property to work
12:57
on fit how do you how do you work less
12:59
and get more done I was going to say two
13:02
words Pomodoro session they’re my best
13:05
friends and I love them and I don’t know
13:07
you probably used them before but
13:09
essentially it’s not a tomato even
13:10
though there is a pomodoro tomato it’s
13:12
the name of the method and it’s 25
13:14
minutes on and
13:15
then between two to five minutes off and
13:18
it sounds crazy but you work pretty
13:21
insanely on one thing just one task for
13:24
25 minutes it might be writing a chapter
13:25
of your book it could be working on a
13:27
sales funnel it might be writing your
13:29
blog post it could be researching
13:31
something around your customers and then
13:33
at the end that 25 minutes the timer
13:34
goes off you set it on your phone you
13:36
said on your clock you can use something
13:38
like focus booster apps which is free
13:39
and then you take a short break to
13:42
stretch you get up grab a glass of water
13:44
and then you go back to it and a lot of
13:45
people don’t get that we actually need
13:48
breaks to be able to be more effective
13:50
to reoxygenate to get more focus again
13:53
and they think that if you interrupt the
13:55
task it’s really off-putting but in this
13:57
case they’ve proven through research
13:59
over many many years that you’re way
14:01
more productive when you condense it
14:02
down into a 25 minute session and so I
14:05
just set a bunch of pomodoros and no
14:07
more than three max four in a row and
14:10
after that you need to take a good half
14:12
an hour break you need to go for learns
14:13
you need to do a workout you need to
14:14
hang out your dog your loved ones but
14:16
it’s amazing how it works and so
14:19
currently right now I’m running
14:20
something called write the damn book
14:22
where for three months people helping me
14:24
write my damn book and I’m helping them
14:26
write it and every week we’ve been
14:27
turning up for like two to three
14:29
Pomodoro sessions in a row and I’ve
14:31
literally written five chapters of my
14:33
book over the last week as a result just
14:35
because I turn up I do the work I set a
14:38
timer and that’s all I’m focusing on and
14:40
you can do that for every single tasking
14:42
activity and your day and why because as
14:44
you know constraints work so if you said
14:46
I’ve only got three hours a day and they
14:48
do back-to-back pomodoros you would
14:50
probably astound yourself with how much
14:52
more you get done versus I’ve got from
14:55
nine till seven o’clock and that’s how
14:59
most of us do it I’m actually just sighs
15:03
welcome ABC dark I’m very actually
15:05
implement that just started today we
15:07
good afternoon I’m really kind of sad to
15:09
go that’s uh I’m it’s amazing you’ve got
15:12
to stick with it but it really really
15:14
works quite incredible I love all the
15:16
types of productivity apps and I saw on
15:18
your site today I just got a ton of
15:20
stuff for how to be more productive in
15:22
2017 I thought that was really neat as
15:23
far as on the tips of Trinidad there so
15:25
again I think that just amazing as far
15:27
as the idea that you can actually be
15:29
more
15:29
productive in less time and have more
15:32
fun so I just love the idea so that I’ve
15:37
got a good friend of my dad I don’t know
15:39
if you know Mike Dillard but easily like
15:41
well I know of him okay so Mike actually
15:43
I was just talking to him to get a day
15:45
about this and His Holy he what he loves
15:48
dry he loves racing porsches I mean as
15:51
it’s his pastime as always loved it so
15:53
he want to do more you want to race his
15:55
car more often it so he’s actually
15:56
created his day stops at two o’clock
15:58
every single day so he’s he’s basically
16:01
setting everything up in his life so
16:02
that by two o’clock in the afternoon his
16:05
day is done so you can go ahead and go
16:07
out and race his cars and doing the
16:09
things that really wants to do and I
16:10
thought you know what I’m sure is
16:12
everyone kind of expected Julia mikes at
16:14
that point is life or he’s got enough
16:15
money and things but I think the only
16:17
way you actually get to that point your
16:19
life or you get that kind of money is
16:20
you have to have the discipline early
16:22
enough to reward yourself as you go I
16:24
don’t know if you’ve experienced that
16:25
I’m assuming probably not absolutely I
16:29
mean his reward is to go up and race
16:31
that Porsche miners to go off and do
16:33
CrossFit will spend the afternoon with
16:35
my friends or go out kayaking or go and
16:38
learn more surfing and I know when I was
16:40
in Portugal I was getting into a really
16:41
good habit there is that I’d actually
16:44
start off the day and I’d go for a surf
16:45
lesson first thing sort of around eight
16:47
or nine a.m. with last a couple of hours
16:49
by the time you get down there and go
16:51
through instructions and come back out
16:52
and then after at your ravenous so you
16:54
go and have some food and then but time
16:56
you get back it’s kind of like midday
16:58
and the beauty about that is you haven’t
17:00
checked anything you haven’t done any
17:01
emails nothing and then you kind of get
17:03
onto it crack on for the afternoon or
17:05
the flip side is to reverse that and do
17:07
everything in the morning and then break
17:09
something up in your day with something
17:11
that you have to go and do whether it’s
17:12
going to get a message I’ve going for a
17:15
lesson or something looking at a lunch
17:17
or and after and coffee something that
17:18
breaks up your day and take two out of
17:19
the working environment so you have to
17:21
stop genius I think that’s fantastic i
17:25
think i look forward to doing that
17:26
that’s that so I want to make sure this
17:28
Hamid or that’s peel em o de Oro is that
17:31
right yeah it is and I’m happy to share
17:33
a link to it she’s a little fun video i
17:35
did about pomodoros and if you have
17:38
written about them several times on my
17:39
blog so happy to share that link hits on
17:41
youtube it’s pretty funny
17:43
if you want to share it now is fine
17:45
otherwise we put the show notes what
17:46
everybody here for you if you know what
17:48
it is I wouldn’t know the hell I will
17:52
stand at these Jenna Tiffany will put
17:54
the showed up for sure well you know the
17:56
cool thing we actually got connected
17:58
because I I really didn’t know that much
18:00
about to you until all of a sudden you
18:01
started popping up everywhere
18:02
recommending clickfunnels which I was
18:05
shocked I was like who is this lady in
18:07
New Zealand basically he was talking
18:09
about Clint file so how did it get
18:11
connected with us and why are you such a
18:13
big fan it’s funny because when I do
18:15
fall in love with the products i tend to
18:17
shout from the rooftops about it and
18:19
last year was a particularly challenging
18:21
technology up until up until 2016 things
18:24
have been running pretty smoothly i was
18:26
using a variety of different tools and
18:28
and I just decided in October after mm
18:32
well I’m not even the safe half a year
18:34
or more of struggling with infusions
18:35
often things going wrong up like that’s
18:37
it so just did a complete breakdown of
18:39
all the tools i was using which ones
18:41
were working well which ones weren’t and
18:42
i had seen a really great recommendation
18:45
from my friend Jodie jealous who had
18:47
switched over to can sorry click funnels
18:49
I was gonna say confusion sock should
18:51
switch from confusing soft to click
18:53
funnels and a few other things and I
18:55
watched her video through and then I saw
18:57
a few other people doing it I’d also got
18:59
Russell’s book way earlier and last year
19:02
as well and I really liked what he was
19:04
talking about so I checked it out them
19:06
but I wasn’t ready to make the switch
19:07
and but the reason being is that yeah
19:10
just my current tools were failing me
19:12
and I wanted to change it up so I
19:13
actually change everything I changed my
19:15
email provider I know you guys do email
19:18
but at the time I’d already agreed to
19:20
try out convertkit I changed click
19:22
funnels and you guys think really
19:23
beautifully with them and teachable so I
19:25
moved all of my online education from
19:28
disparate WordPress sites and customize
19:30
things of the fire after one platform on
19:33
teachable and so those are my three like
19:35
I call them the Holy Trinity now so paid
19:37
online tools that I love and then my
19:39
other tools the Holy Trinity and Google
19:42
Drive asana and slack so that’s how my
19:44
entire team communicate and how we do
19:46
everything so I feel like I’m really fit
19:47
now like my six tools are dialed in and
19:50
I’m just I’m just loving actually just
19:52
reached my final limit which is a little
19:54
bit thumbs about the other but really
19:55
I’ve already set up the funnel
19:56
it so I may need to look at upgrading
19:58
but I’m just I really love the interface
20:00
and I’m more importantly I think I love
20:02
the community that Russell on you guys
20:04
have built behind it like this very few
20:06
I think software platforms that also
20:08
hold a sense and have people like in a
20:11
Facebook group and have weekly live
20:13
updates and just have people doing a did
20:15
you know you could do this in this I
20:16
think it’s that’s the beauty of it for
20:18
me well thank you you know we’re very
20:20
big in the culture and we joke which
20:23
open all the time about that whether
20:25
we’re building a culture or really a
20:26
culture here but the idea behind its
20:28
kind of we we’ve learned a lot from
20:30
steve jobs and whole apple mo movement
20:32
and everything else but the idea there
20:34
and i think again i hope everyone who’s
20:36
listening yet obviously this is kind of
20:38
a fun little pitch for me is regarding
20:39
clickfunnels but more important that i
20:41
hope you guys are learning from us and
20:43
really learn from Natalie as well that
20:46
the importance of building a culture and
20:48
of building a group of community because
20:51
that’s what attracts people if anybody
20:54
can have a product but when you take a
20:55
look at your own products or things and
20:57
again I love going through your site now
20:59
and take a look at things because you’re
21:00
so true to your brand or true to your
21:02
image and the message that you can bay
21:04
you’re so out you’re giving so much to
21:06
your community and I think that’s what
21:08
we’re drawing people in yeah I would
21:12
hope so because we put a download into
21:14
our content and all it like just so much
21:16
free stuff and great value out there
21:17
that really does build trust over time
21:19
and I think the transparency is probably
21:22
the other thing that we really aim to be
21:24
like I’m happy to share my screw-ups and
21:26
made my mistake so long as people can
21:28
learn from them I’d like to see more of
21:30
that out there actually rather than
21:30
everybody looking so perfect all the
21:32
time because it is it’s not it’s not all
21:35
roses and butterflies I don’t even know
21:37
where that term came from but it’s not
21:39
my world and my world it is but not
21:41
always in business you know I totally
21:43
agree i think that transparency is one
21:45
of the things it was really kind of
21:47
mixed in it again here i’m being totally
21:49
transparent obviously we had an issue
21:51
with click funnels and Amazon’s left
21:52
last week which just I mean just threw
21:55
it through the roofer just from a server
21:57
standpoint issue on their side but it
21:59
was interesting where we ended up doing
22:01
Russell end of doing three Facebook lots
22:03
during the you know three four hours
22:05
that we had some issues with that I i
22:07
was on a slice at the time and
22:09
was on the internets going back and
22:12
forth trying to answer as many facebook
22:14
posts and comments as possible trying to
22:16
let people know that we’re aware of them
22:18
that we cared about them that we were
22:19
really out there trying to to keep the
22:21
community together but more importantly
22:22
that that we understood that that people
22:26
run your whole business and their life
22:27
on quick files and whenever there’s an
22:30
issue we try to be as transparent as
22:31
possible about that and I think the best
22:33
s for us it was kind of an interesting
22:35
is we you know as executive you catch it
22:37
took a seat back and looked at it the
22:39
day after and it was you know ops we’ve
22:42
done different things try to make the
22:43
sure it doesn’t happen in the future but
22:45
the feedback that we had from our
22:47
community was amazing and I can’t thank
22:50
our our community enough for just as
22:53
being as open and forgiving and willing
22:56
but I think a lot of that does come from
22:57
the leadership and from being
22:58
transparent and letting people know
23:00
about that communicating with them
23:01
instead of hiding behind you know
23:03
something that made it may appear that
23:05
it’s not going as well as you want it
23:07
100% absolutely so now you tell me as
23:11
far as your look at 2017 what are some
23:14
of the main things you’re trying to
23:15
accomplish this year oh my god I’m so
23:17
excited I’m actually taking a business
23:19
sabbatical so pretty much taking up to a
23:24
year off my business it’s going to be a
23:26
great experiment to see if everything
23:27
that I’ve taught people over the years
23:29
about outsourcing and systems and sales
23:32
funnels is going to work and I’m just
23:35
I’m super excited I feel I’ve had seven
23:38
years in business it’s going really well
23:39
but I’ve kind of just recently realized
23:43
things that happen with tech issues and
23:44
stuff I was like you know what I think I
23:46
want to take a break I want to come back
23:47
refreshed want to come back with new
23:48
ideas I want to take a break from the
23:50
whole sort of world and niche that I
23:52
live in and get some external references
23:54
and sources and the year that I’m taking
23:56
off is all focused on freedom so I’m
23:58
going on a quest for freedom I hope you
24:01
don’t mind doing that over at Natalie
24:02
Sher Singh Kham so it’s separate to the
24:04
suitcase on you but still going to tie
24:06
back because essentially i’m going to be
24:08
delving deeper into what does personal
24:10
freedom mean what does financial freedom
24:11
me and what’s relationship freedom what
24:13
social freedom and i’m hoping all the
24:15
learnings that the coming a student of
24:17
life this year are going to really come
24:18
back to fold so when i’m back in my
24:20
business so looking forward to click
24:23
funnels
24:23
team and other things that I have set up
24:25
kind of running the show while I’m away
24:27
and and seeing whether my business grows
24:29
or stagnate or whatever it does I’m
24:31
really excited so where you are you
24:34
going where you live where you going to
24:35
go what self I’m going to be traveling
24:37
but I mean I’ve traveled all the time
24:38
but I’m just looking forward to
24:39
travelling for the sake of traveling and
24:41
I am going to be oh sorry i am going to
24:45
be heading back to Portugal first off
24:48
I’m going to barley to run my final
24:50
retreat i run this freedom mastermind
24:52
retreat there i’m holding my birthday
24:53
there i’m having a big birthday turning
24:55
40 years young and I’ve got friends and
24:57
family coming out from around the world
24:58
look at this amazing retreat space for
25:01
that then I’m heading to London to see
25:03
Tony Robbins who’s one of my big mentors
25:06
and I I know Russell sweat for them in
25:08
the past and I’m just super excited
25:09
about seeing him live in person I’m and
25:11
I just want to be the man the myth the
25:12
legend and prism heading to Portugal to
25:15
go back to my place continue to learn to
25:17
surf and learn the language and then
25:19
I’ve got some other adventures planned
25:20
like Brazil for kitesurfing and stuff
25:22
but I’m going to be traveling a less but
25:25
just taking myself to places where I can
25:26
learn more about freedom and society and
25:29
culture oh I love it absolutely love
25:32
well be getting close to wrapping things
25:34
up there anything else you want to let
25:35
people know about Natalie so I guess I
25:38
just say to be really really clear once
25:40
again on what you want out of life and
25:42
business and then the biggest thing the
25:44
biggest lesson for me as freedom is
25:46
actually all about discipline which is
25:48
ironic because I think I moved away from
25:50
that for so long and the more discipline
25:52
i have and the more systems they put in
25:53
place and the more sales funnels the bed
25:55
of my life gets in the more free time I
25:57
have and the more money and time and
26:00
value I kind of bring into my life and
26:02
unto others so it’s my number one tip
26:03
for people is just focus on what you
26:06
want your life to look like and design
26:08
it I think that’s fantastic again
26:10
everyone I highly recommend you go ahead
26:11
head over to the suitcase entreprenuer
26:13
and take Natalie’s quiz are you cut out
26:15
to start and grow a freedom business
26:17
Natalie thank you so much and again love
26:20
to connect with you sometime whatever
26:21

26:29
place I mean everybody come in here so
26:32
that’s not what I did but I’m the fuckin
26:35
awesome a pea
