15 years little over 15 years in the in

did the traditional career route right

god got a couple of degrees got myself

into corporate America rose through the

ranks

I started off actually in technology so

my my background actually my first

degree was in computer science so I am

just a big big old technology geek a big

nerd my second degree was actually an

engineering psychology which is kind of

where a lot of the fascination and my

passion for digital marketing comes in

and then I went on to do my MBA so

that’s kind of where the business aspect

of things kind of come through but you

know rose through the ranks of corporate

America and the higher I got the more

every rung of that ladder it was kind of

experience a lot of a lot of awesome

be really painful at the time you just

don’t realize that until you kind of

escape the golden handcuffs and that’s

that was kind of my my big thing right

you’re in corporate America you’re

making a six-figure salary I did

everything from you know major

corporation transitions and and mergers

and acquisitions multi-million dollar

acquisitions multibillion-dollar

acquisitions and my my thing was putting

systems in place and typically I was on

the IT side of the house just kind of

helping to help businesses grow when

they go through these big growths or

helping companies go through an IPO as

an example and putting these systems in

place and watching all the wonderful

corporate politics and all these things

I just god there’s got to be a better

way there has just got to be a better

way and it’s hard you know I’m I’m a mom

I have you know two young kids and I was

making again you know at six-figure

salary and it very much makes you feel

like you are you were trapped and you’re

in these you know the proverbial golden

hand cloth hand handcuffs you know and

they feel very very real and so you know

I actually was on one of the very first

webinars that I think Russell did for

started and decided to buy and became a

just like all the other all these other

long everything Russell had so I just

Boise for five full days and I remember

have my heart just sank and I felt so

bad where I was sitting it was just oh

so I felt awful and you know there were

folks that clearly they were there for a

reason they’re passionate you know they

who doesn’t but it’s it I knew that the

task of you know trying to make sure

that everyone came out of that five day

experience with the same level of

knowledge it was just it was just

impossible because of the the way you

know people went into that five day

session with with multi so wide variety

of experiences and knowledge and

could tell the staff was was really

working hard and man I I the staff was

amazing and how much they they just

broke out of those golden handcuffs it’s

the only way that I escaped where I was

and I knew how transformational you know

because I know like many of the folks

doll said and they’re certified but

they’ve never had to show how to apply

the knowledge and they’ve never been

assessed necessarily on the knowledge in

terms of you know other than just a

multiple-choice quiz and that’s I don’t

consider that a real certification and I

certainly as a consumer if I was going

to hire someone I would certainly want

someone that had applied that knowledge

and had proof

application of the knowledge before I

hired them so that’s that was kind of my

big thing going into it and I think what

we’ve created and the people that are

currently in the program they blow me

away every single day that the group

that that we have in there and the group

of certified partners and the people we

are adding to the program are just

unbelievable they are amazing the the

results that they’re getting I’m seeing

certification but there’s no value to

that and I think what was cool from is

as I’ve got to know you over the last

year especially is to understand the

impact and the value that is ash

creative or a person who is in a

situation situation like you were or

situation like myself where he was

trying to go how do I get that next

level whether it’s for some people is

leave mange trying to get it they’re

trying to replace it and you know you’re

going to talk about a gentleman

recently who’s lost his job eighteen

months ago in his fifties he’s going oh

my gosh what am I going to do and the

certification programs replaces income

in less than 18 months I mean it’s a

fantastic form where he couldn’t find a

job could do that but he had the skill

set and so it allows people to take with

the already out and be able to use that

to get to that next level we’ve had so

many different stories of different

people who have had just phenomenal

podcast but I think the part that I love

literally it was almost in tears

just your daughter wanted to take the

school bus yeah sure no not at all so

one of the things if you’re a working

parent and you’re listening to this and

you work in you know in an office

environment or ever your work and you’re

not home when the bus comes home if you

have young kids you know they can’t take

the bus home because there’s nobody home

they can’t do it and that’s you my

daughter is that’s all she wanted that’s

it that’s the only thing in the world

that she wanted is she wanted to take

that school bus home and she would
12:08
constantly ask and every day I’d have to

tell her no you can’t take the bus home

because I’m in a meeting or I’m gonna be
12:13
at the office or whatever it was it just
12:15
it was heartbreaking to say no day after
12:17
day and and it wasn’t she just she was
12:20
relentless because she wanted it so
12:22
badly and I remember being in it was you
12:26
know how meetings go in corporate and we
12:28
were in a got another god-awful meeting
12:30
and I will and Russell tell still talks
12:34
about these but every day I had a
12:36
horrible habit every time I was in a
12:37
horrible meeting which by the way it was
12:39
like every other day or sometimes every
12:41
day I would buy domain names so I it’s
12:45
just a horrible habit that I got into
12:46
you know some people have
12:48
they shop for shoes I don’t know I don’t
12:50
shop for shoes I shop for domains but
12:52
you know I would sit in by no means and
12:54
I own over 400 now if that tells you
12:56
anything about how many crappy meetings
12:57
I said–and but I remember the day and

it was so clear I was in this meeting
13:02
and it was it was awful and there was a
13:04
lot of politics involved it’s just one
13:06
of those days where you just you don’t
13:07
want to be here and it really hits home

and I was in I was on my phone and I’m
13:11
buying F the job calm and F the meeting
13:14
calm which I still owned by the way
13:16
they’re too good I can’t give those up
13:19
there’s amazing of me I was a little
13:21
angry I think at that that day you know
13:27
I bought my domain names and as I’m
13:29
buying them you know I could you just
13:31
you know that there’s just there’s got
13:33
to be something better than this this is
13:35
not this is not where I want to be and
13:37
this is not the person I want to be so

you know I actually just left for the
13:41
day I just you know I said you know what
13:43
I’m not feeling well I’m gonna go home

and I actually let my daughter take the
13:47
bus home that day and I got home really
13:50
she took the bus home and I took a
13:51
picture I took a picture of her running

towards the house from the bus and she
13:58
was so happy it just that’s all she

wanted for months and months that’s all

she wanted just to take the bus home and
14:04
now she finally had a chance to do it
14:06
and what I did is I took that bet

picture and I put it on the background

of my phone to kind of really keep me
14:13
motivated and to keep kind of my eye on

the prize you know this is what was
14:16
really really important and
14:18
unfortunately you know during during the
14:21
time so I I am adopted my parents
14:24
adopted me after my mom had about eight
14:26
or nine miscarriages so family is very
14:28
very important to me because I almost
14:31
didn’t have one and my dad at the time
14:34
had been diagnosed with terminal cancer

and it was you know the last words I
14:40
spoke to my dad where he what he said to
14:43
me his last words to me were you take
14:44
care of those kids and as I’m sitting
14:47
there looking at the picture on my phone
14:50
of the joy of my daughter’s face and
14:53
then you got the juxtaposition of me
14:54
sitting in these horrible meetings with
14:57
you know unethical things happening in
14:58
the corporate environment and I just

said

knowing that my what I was currently
15:03
doing was not supporting those kids and
15:05
I was not taking care of the kids the
15:07
way that I felt I could in the way that
15:09
I wanted to and that’s when you know I

really used clickfunnels and my ability

to you know be a consultant and provide

final services to folks to really break

out of that six-figure job and to be
15:22
able to replace my income within six
15:24
months where I wasn’t putting my family

at risk I wasn’t putting my finances at

risk and to me that was huge because

that’s the opportunity it’s really to

take I took not only my business and you

know my income to the next level

I took my life to the next level because

I really I was honoring not only you

know the commitment I made to my parents

my mom and my dad you know the last

words that he spoke to me in which which

will always stay with me and always

resonate with me and really honoring my

family I took I took all of that to the

next level by being able to work from

home and provide them with with a

lifestyle that was was just so much

healthier for everyone overall and for

me you know when I the day I quit the

day I finally retired from corporate

America I came home and again I let my

daughter take the bus home it was my

last day and I took another picture of

her and oh my goodness the joy on her

face just the whole picture just it just

exudes joy and to me that was it that’s

that’s the reason that I took over the
16:27
certification program because that’s
16:29
what’s possible because of not only what
16:31
you know the differences in the
16:33
transformation in my life and my
16:34
family’s life and in the clients lives

that I’ve served it’s that opportunity I

couldn’t I couldn’t take that away from
16:42
someone because someone is going through
16:44
something similar they want to take
16:45
they’re not there with their life to the
16:47
next level and there was no way that I
16:49
could let the certification program be
16:51
shut down when I knew that I had the
16:54
ability to come in and create a real
16:56
meaningful and valuable certification

you know program around it so yeah

just I’m excited because it’s in the

find people the opportunity to

accomplish whatever it is that they want

consultants for some it is freedom and

jobs you know getting away from that for

other people it’s being able to be home

really had before and I want to share it

you know I’ve got my 20 year old son

who’s basically just came home from his

mission and he’s sitting there going

through the certified consultant program

and for me the certified part arm is so

cool because the staff can’t believe

visiting he gets so excited I have him

many people and I think that the part

know all of a sudden when they start

seeing that bar being raised by other

people that going home wait are you

thousand and the reality is a very very

results driven type of opportunity where

for these people I mean you get involved

marketing injury it’s unlike Facebook it

sold for everything else in any he’s or

even a time

thing for it it’s that’s not what it’s

about you have the opportunity impacting

a business and a business owner and

their life and the life of their

employees and the lack of the people

that they’re observing and so it the

trickle-down effect and the ripple

effect it’s just so huge I just

it’s what I’m most excited about really

acquisition so you’re acquiring your

your knowledge your going to assemble it

so it’s assimilation which basically

means you’re absorbing the knowledge

application which obviously you’re going

to apply the knowledge and then

assessment so you need to make sure that

think honestly for the most part and

I’ve taken a couple of the certification

programs I think that you have as well

and I know I said there and I think I

know one of the nights I decided to pull

an all-nighter and take one of the

certification programs and I was hurt

you know these online things and I I

fell asleep I know I did I didn’t make

it all night I’m a hold it happens and I

know I passed out and what if but I woke

up I did wake up and the video had

already played you know and I was kind

of done with it and I took the test and

I still got a hundred percent on the

critical

I’m certified fantastic you know by a

lot of these certification programs so

they’ll give you the information and

they’re filled with great you know great

training and they’ll try to help you

absorb it so they’ll try to help you

with that assimilation of it so that you

can understand it and maybe break it

down and kind of help help that consumer

that the person you know that’s taking

the course understand it but where they

seem to kind of fall short in my mind is

in the application you know where you’re

actually asking the student to apply the

knowledge and then assessing the

application of their knowledge and I

think you know a multiple-choice quiz

has its place but when you’re talking

about this level of a certification

program and the results that we can

offer to our clients a multiple-choice

quiz is not going to get you results you

know showing that you can build a funnel

and right head right you know high

converting headlines and you know

showing that you can do custom design

and you know all the things that we

talked about inside inside the course

those are the things that are going to

add value to the clients so for me it

was very important that we put in the

you know the assessment of it that so

that we knew you know when when Russell
