00:07
entrepreneurs are using to make more
00:09
sales dominate their market and how you
00:12
can get those same results here is your
00:14
host dave woodward hey everybody welcome
00:18
back to funnel hacker radeon your host
00:19
dave woodward today you guys are going
00:21
to love what we’ve got today this is a
00:23
rock the jar with design pickle actually
00:26
I wanted to do stew you guys the founder
00:28
of design pickle mister rough Perry rods
00:30
welcome aboard but thank you very very
00:32
excited to to be on the show big fan
00:35
what you guys are doing I am so excited
00:38
to have you get this is one of the
00:39
things that I know nothing about and
00:41
that’s design my wife which I’m so good
00:43
with stick figures but beyond that it’s
00:45
about as far as I go and I just you know
00:48
Russell as well as things I actually I
00:51
didn’t know that much about you until
00:52
after Holly last fall we added a couple
00:56
more people head out to one of the
00:57
events of content commerce and they came
01:00
back and just were ranting and raving
01:02
about this crazy fun experience that had
01:04
that’s the event and I’m going wait a
01:07
second you guys drop their to work what
01:08
are you doing for account all this fun
01:09
what you guys do it like oh my gosh you
01:11
would not have believed this these guys
01:13
have the coolest booth and the coolest
01:15
sponsorship I’ve ever seen I’m like who
01:17
are they what do they do this it well
01:18
just company called design tickle and
01:20
I’m like what the heck is a design
01:22
pickle so I got to start with that
01:23
rested what how do you come up with
01:25
design pickle I mean I know we only have
01:29
a little bit of time I could give you a
01:30
few hours but you know briefly that the
01:33
quick story is actually super fun about
01:35
to put that conference is that you guys
01:38
were actually already clients of ours
01:39
and we we didn’t renew it but not kind
01:42
not really it’s not like we like have a
01:44
roster so they gave up the going gosh
01:47
we’re designed to collide you’re like oh
01:48
my gosh you’re clickfunnels like thanks
01:51
anyways it was kind of like we bonded
01:53
that first day kind of over it but yeah
01:57
well so what we do really its most
02:00
simplest form is we just help small
02:01
businesses focus on their business and
02:04
we do that by letting them send over the
02:08
design work to us we’re a what we call a
02:11
subscription-based or on-demand graphic
02:13
design service you pay a flat fee you
02:16
get matched with the designer and then
02:18
you and him or her work together on on
02:21
mainly the stuff that you need to help
02:23
your business grow sales and marketing
02:25
graphics online offline we you know all
02:27
the stuff you guys saw the trade show
02:30
like my designer dead yeah I mean we do
02:33
we do it’s really what you can put into
02:35
an email and and and and need for your
02:37
business we we can give it a go so it
02:40
started after I ran a creative agency
02:43
for about eight and a half years and
02:45
realized that I didn’t want to be a
02:47
generalist I wanted to be a specialist
02:49
and so we designed a new way to focus in
02:52
on on this subset of design because
02:54
there’s lots of other stuff we don’t do
02:55
like logos or websites or mobile apps
02:58
but we said hey we’re just going to help
02:59
in this area have fun do a good job and
03:03
yeah that’s the that’s the strategy well
03:06
I know we’ve loved using you guys and
03:08
you guys have are a great against the
03:11
kind of more of a friendship than it is
03:12
even a client relationship I’m really
03:15
excited I know you’re to be at a funnel
03:17
hacking live event here in the next
03:18
couple weeks and I just wanted to bring
03:20
you on and haven’t gone talked about the
03:22
importance of design and the impact it
03:23
has on conversions the impact it has on
03:26
just really getting your message out I
03:28
know some people get kind of a you know
03:30
uh PR or you know your image doesn’t
03:32
matter that much and I could say it’s
03:35
been one of the main things for us
03:36
you’ve seen happen it really has a huge
03:38
impact so what did you kind of feel mine
03:39
you kind of died again and tell us a
03:41
little bit about what you guys do it as
03:43
far as how does it actually help the
03:44
small business owner from a good
03:45
conversion can point absolutely those
03:48
that’s a great way to kind of look at it
03:49
and i’ll kind of be super high level
03:52
because i think i think a lot of people
03:54
have had bad experiences with designers
03:56
either they have paid too much and they
04:00
didn’t get what they wanted or they had
04:02
a designer that was really great and
04:04
then all of a sudden disappeared or got
04:06
a job and their know or they are too
04:08
busy and as business owners it’s almost
04:12
like this challenging relationship where
04:14
you know you should do put more money or
04:17
time or energy into it but you’ve either
04:19
been burned or you just don’t think it’s
04:21
a top priority and what we what we try
04:25
to do design pickle and i think
04:27
a lot of great companies have done not
04:29
just designed tickle but their services
04:30
out there like 99 designs or fiber I
04:33
mean there’s a lot of different ways to
04:35
get design but overall it’s it’s so
04:38
important because at the end of the day
04:40
we visually judge everything we judge
04:44
our kids our spouses or employees our
04:47
clients that clients judge us the people
04:50
on TV everything we immediately judge
04:52
and we don’t mean to but how we present
04:55
ourselves and how we look and the
04:58
feeling that comes from that is just
05:01
inherent in our nature so putting effort
05:04
into design at whatever level that is is
05:07
is is really your way of hedging your
05:11
bet so that the right you have the right
05:13
reaction that you want for your design
05:16
or sorry for your business or for your
05:18
for the outcome you want whether it’s an
05:20
interview an exciting date you have or
05:23
whatever like you care about that visual
05:26
that visual side of things because
05:29
that’s how people perceive you so so
05:32
many times because of this rough
05:34
relationship people have had or just you
05:37
know business as tight or lean they say
05:39
well hey I’m not going to worry about
05:40
design I’m just going to go hustle or
05:42
write a million emails or set up a
05:45
million landing pages and they don’t
05:48
they don’t take it that extra step and
05:50
then what happened people look at their
05:53
stuff it looks unprofessional it looks
05:55
like it was wings and just put together
05:58
last minute and boom they judge you and
06:01
they don’t go any further so you could
06:03
have the best product in the world and
06:05
without that focus on design it doesn’t
06:08
even matter you won’t you know you don’t
06:10
even get to go past go like people won’t
06:12
even won’t even consider you because of
06:15
those inherent and sometimes unconscious
06:18
judgments we make totally love it I
06:22
think again what you said there is real
06:23
important that it’s the unconscious
06:25
judgments that people make because you
06:27
don’t think oh it doesn’t matter and
06:29
sometimes before I could say well I’m
06:30
not going to because your design but
06:32
they actually it’s a subconscious thing
06:33
we’re like it just doesn’t feel right
06:35
does it feel good right and it it
06:37
doesn’t it comes on the trust like does
06:39
that for
06:40
not so well that’s what we say like you
06:42
don’t have to have a million dollar
06:45
brand to be a successful business in
06:47
fact i’d argue most people don’t need to
06:49
spend more than a day or two on their
06:52
brand when they’re starting out but you
06:54
need consistency because consistency
06:57
means trustworthiness and when you have
07:00
a consistent experience you trust them
07:03
and visually it’s the same thing you
07:06
walk into any fast food chain and around
07:08
the country it looks the same it feels
07:11
the same when you walk into one that
07:13
doesn’t like the the McDonald’s in Texas
07:17
that’s kind of sketchy and you’re like
07:19
whoa this is not what I yes then you
07:22
that trust is broken and it’s all about
07:24
that visual experience I love the idea
07:28
as far as consistency that is one of the
07:29
things I we actually gotten back to me
07:32
out here right now I’m boys here we have
07:34
our funnel hackathon going on with
07:35
Russell’s teaching some of our top inner
07:37
circle members and one of the main
07:38
things we’ve been hammering on right now
07:40
is just even consistency as your message
07:41
sometimes that consistency just comes in
07:44
continuing to be out there producing
07:46
content the same yeah consistent
07:49
nature’s the other thing I love is just
07:52
a consistent message as far as how you
07:54
look and I know for us I guess it’s been
07:57
so much fun for us right now so we’re in
07:59
the middle of putting together a brand
08:01
new office in it and britts just doing
08:04
an awesome job with making sure our
08:05
images is right you walk into our
08:07
building now and very flourishing he is
08:08
a quick bottle sign is on a boar and we
08:11
all of a sudden we feel again we’re a 30
08:14
million dollar company it’s not like we
08:15
were we just came out of nowhere I mean
08:17
we’ve been around now but even for us as
08:19
employees partners as founders as being
08:23
involved in the company it’s just so
08:25
exciting where you see that brand that
08:26
image is consistent whether I driving
08:28
down the street to hear our sign outside
08:30
unlocking me off here first thing I see
08:32
is quick little sign and it’s just a
08:34
Guinness it just makes me feel warm and
08:36
fuzzy all over I kind of hate you have
08:38
for us but it’s just consistent and I
08:41
think it’s I think people like that they
08:43
want to feel like it’s consistent they
08:44
want and again it goes back to that
08:46
trust can I trust that it’s going to be
08:48
the same experience and I love love how
08:50
you mention that yeah and consistency
08:54
doesn’t require you to be a 30 million
08:56
dollar company now you can probably have
08:58
a really rad sign at that size but what
09:01
it really comes down to is is having a
09:05
consistent intent for whether that’s
09:08
like a brand you’ve designed so here’s
09:10
how things should look and at the end of
09:12
the day this is the ultimate hack like
09:14
if you listen to this podcast and you
09:16
only get one thing out of that out of
09:19
anything I say it’s used the same
09:22
designer like so many people don’t do
09:25
that and they use one designer or they
09:28
have a buddy design it and then they
09:29
hire this person and then they do it
09:31
themselves because they’re running late
09:32
and then their intern or they do hire
09:35
this agency and before you know it a
09:37
couple years go by and everything’s been
09:39
designed by a different human being and
09:42
it’s inconsistent because well everyone
09:45
has their own thoughts around it so
09:47
improve your brand 101 just have the
09:49
same person design whatever it is you
09:52
want to have created for you I love that
09:55
I totally agree with you god that’s so
09:57
cool I’m excited just to see you guys
10:01
that photo hacking lives I actually
10:03
played around on your site right now as
10:05
we’re talking because i love how created
10:08
you guys are you are so creative just so
10:10
cool out there i guess you got the whole
10:12
thing going this year as far as rock the
10:13
jar and I think it’s just if you don’t
10:16
want to kind of talk to a little bit
10:17
about people far as it’s what’s rocked
10:19
the jar mean how does it actually apply
10:21
because it’s consistent with your design
10:23
pickle and I think I love seeing that
10:25
everywhere you go you’ve got this design
10:27
pickle consistency that’s really really
10:29
cool well thank you the the concepts
10:32
really were forged when I had my agency
10:36
and we would work with a lot of b2b
10:38
companies at big big technology
10:40
conferences that was kind of my my
10:43
beginnings of the marketer was going to
10:45
sales forces conference and big builder
10:48
trade shows and what what we would
10:52
always do is we would always create a
10:55
more like a sub-brand for our company
10:58
and what the sub brand would be would be
11:00
a brand that was related visually to us
11:04
or there was a connection
11:07
it was just like a fun relatable theme
11:09
that we could use throughout the year
11:12
through our sales activities there were
11:14
marketing activities and and as a
11:18
marketer what ended up happening and it
11:20
would just become a really fun way to
11:22
get everyone engaged because when you
11:25
have a concept like rock and roll or you
11:27
have a concept like hippy or the 70s or
11:31
you have a concept like the 80s or
11:33
whatever other themes that are out there
11:35
science fiction it people can relate and
11:38
so it doesn’t matter if you’re selling
11:40
graphic design like we are or if you’re
11:42
selling software for servers or landing
11:46
page and marketing software like you
11:48
guys do it’s like people can connect to
11:51
your theme and then then they step into
11:54
the deeper conversations or hey I like a
11:57
rock and roll well what do you guys do
11:59
rather than you leading with hey we’re
12:02
graphic design company or hey we’re a
12:04
software company or hey we’re a
12:05
technology company well that’s not
12:06
exciting there’s no emotion there so the
12:09
sub brand concept I learned my agencies
12:11
now they were not as creative because it
12:14
was a little little more managed by a
12:17
board of directors wasn’t quite as
12:20
excited about the ideas as we were so
12:23
design pickle I mean it’s my own thing
12:25
i’m the founder it was able to be like
12:27
whatever we want to do so we thought
12:28
ourselves well what could we do that
12:30
would be fun and get everyone involved
12:32
and so rock and roll kind of you know
12:35
rock the jar this theme and and actually
12:38
the poster will be rolling out as on the
12:41
site it’s from the I things like a 70s
12:44
musical Rock of Ages and it’s like kind
12:46
of inspired by that and we actually
12:49
recorded some songs we’re gonna have CDs
12:51
or handing out like which me and and one
12:53
hand the marketing director Jim we’re in
12:55
the studio a couple weeks ago making
12:57
music and and that CD is just like our
13:00
marketing collateral there will be a
13:02
real CD with music but then it’s the
13:03
insert is all about our service so we’re
13:06
just trying to have fun with it and and
13:08
when you have that singular idea the
13:11
marketing and the and the sales it just
13:14
all falls into place and really isn’t
13:17
that creative like it’s not creative
13:19
that rock and roll
13:20
saying we’ve all been to fun party but
13:22
it is it’s just a fun environment we can
13:24
bring to sometimes environments that
13:26
usually aren’t aren’t that creative I
13:29
think that’s amazing i guess for those
13:31
you got your listing you Curtis you’ve
13:33
heard me talk and Russell talked a ton
13:35
about culture and we’re always about
13:37
building a very very strong culture and
13:40
to make sure that people understand that
13:43
again we we’ve gone back as far as if
13:45
you take a look at our brand more image
13:47
obviously we’ve got quick bottles but
13:48
really everyone out there who’s listen
13:51
does this is funnel hacker radio because
13:52
everyone’s listen to this their funnel
13:54
happened they identify with that I
13:55
really want you guys would you mean your
13:58
private computer you definitely to go to
14:00
design pickle calm forward slash rock
14:03
now once you pay attention to what
14:05
they’ve done here as far as the whole
14:06
graphic image but more importantly it’s
14:07
how it’s all tied together if I
14:10
appreciate being was very first one on
14:12
the on the tour here as far as funnel
14:14
hacking live but it’s cool yeah the
14:16
different events that you’re going
14:18
through with your out the year how
14:19
you’ve done that ready to rock I was
14:21
wondering by asking questions I’m not
14:23
this video is going to cut through my
14:24
speakers here or what you hear not the
14:28
landing page video yeah so now I never
14:32
do this on podcast but I’m pretty SIA so
14:35
what’s going on here is the docket what
14:37
goes on tour yeah it’s basically like a
14:42
movie trailer for the tour and our
14:44
strategy is we’re actually headed to the
14:46
Philippines on Sunday night to launch
14:49
the tour with our team there we have
14:51
about 45 employees out there that’s
14:53
that’s the the kickoff and then we fly
14:57
we literally fly from the Philippines
14:59
come back to Phoenix I sleep for a night
15:01
and go to funnel a keen life too for the
15:05
first for the first date so we’ll update
15:08
that video with actual like footage that
15:11
we’re going to be recording throughout
15:12
the whole year so you can come to this
15:14
page and see the tour join our facebook
15:18
group and see behind the scenes and all
15:21
the fun stuff that we’re dealing but I
15:23
get I just think it’s so you guys from a
15:25
brandy imogen from just be consistent to
15:28
it if they could smell really really
15:30
cool this as far as how I look at it to
15:31
see like you would see on a real walk
15:34
rock and roll tour concerts have world
15:36
tour thing you’ve got the base you got
15:38
where you’re located at the events that
15:40
are coming up and I think again I would
15:42
hope that those guys who are listening
15:43
to thinking okay I’m all about puddle
15:46
hacking so I was definitely how can you
15:48
have with what design tickles doing here
15:50
as far as creating an event for your
15:52
marketing we we tried doing a ton of
15:55
that here at push bottle dude we’re
15:56
always different investments and things
15:58
that are going on but I think as you do
16:00
that it provides a lot of excitement and
16:03
it really helps build and focus really
16:05
on building that culture that really
16:07
helps people connect with you and it’s
16:11
been so much fun as you’re going to see
16:13
a lot of things that we’re going to roll
16:15
out here actually at the funnel hacking
16:17
light would be a lot of fun with some of
16:19
our we’ve taken on from our affiliate
16:21
standpoint the cliq panels avenger seen
16:24
in yeah awesome superheroes that’s great
16:27
and so I think I love what you guys are
16:29
doing and I think as we keep going with
16:32
this podcast I really feel like cheers
16:34
again some of the other ideas thinks
16:35
you’ve seen to work for others that help
16:37
them really connect with and be
16:39
consistent in marketing well let’s come
16:42
back to kind of the initial conversation
16:44
we had about creativity in general and I
16:46
think people don’t give themselves
16:49
enough credit for being creative but
16:51
really you can be creative and it’s not
16:54
about coming up with the next technology
16:58
product or the next innovation or the
17:02
next great movie or hit single it’s
17:05
about having an idea and coordinating
17:09
your action with your business around
17:11
that idea so the hack if we want to talk
17:13
about hacks the hack for creativity the
17:17
hack for consistency is adopting one of
17:20
these themes for your brand maybe it’s
17:23
just for a year maybe you’re all about
17:25
superheroes maybe you’re all about
17:26
animals or the environment or pets or a
17:29
non-profit or whatever but when you when
17:32
you latch on to some other idea that
17:35
that exists out there authors movies
17:38
decades whatever that that then opens up
17:43
your creativity because if I say hey
17:44
give me give me five 80s references or
17:47
give me five
17:48
um you know pop stars or whatever most
17:51
people can do that well hey if you now
17:54
use those as inspiration for your
17:57
marketing if you use those as
17:58
inspirations for your landing pages and
18:00
the videos and whatever else oh my gosh
18:04
now you’re being creative and you don’t
18:06
and you never even thought you’re being
18:07
creative so that’s that’s a great hack
18:10
and anybody can do it I can ask my mom
18:14
who actually she’s she’s actually pretty
18:16
creative I get a lot of my ideas her
18:18
skills rumor but she’s not in technology
18:21
she’s been a teacher for almost 30 years
18:23
she but I can say hey mom have a whole
18:26
theme around teaching and she could she
18:28
could do it and she could come up with a
18:30
10 or 15 or 20 ideas that would with
18:33
that than you and I and everyone
18:34
listening would relate to especially
18:37
we’re educated here in the United States
18:38
so the point being is that that don’t
18:41
don’t think creativity is just pulling
18:42
things out of thin air or creating
18:44
things out of thin air creativity is
18:46
that could insistence e and a singular
18:49
idea that you can really run with and
18:51
you could be technology boring company
18:54
inc com but do an Avengers theme and
18:59
people are going to be like I love the
19:00
Avengers hey what do you do and there
19:02
you go you just hacked creativity I love
19:06
that hat I think it’s what I hope
19:08
everybody really listens to a picks up
19:10
on that because those types of hacks
19:11
having a theme man changes everything is
19:15
that a lot of fun for us where we’re
19:17
going to have a ton of fun and stuff but
19:18
I’m hacking live can’t wait and have you
19:19
guys sales and when you’re too you’re
19:21
gonna be providing this even more
19:22
excitement and energy to it so it’s kind
19:24
of fun for us to see that as well Russ
19:28
tell me as far as some of the other
19:29
things you seen at gives you had the
19:31
opportunity from just growing working
19:33
for someone else and now growing your
19:34
own business as kind of transition to
19:36
podcasts real quick here to just
19:37
business tips and suggestions what are
19:39
some of the things that you’ve seen is
19:41
you started to scale your business well
19:43
it kind of depends on the area when I
19:46
look back in on how we’ve grown really
19:48
from me to now a team of over almost 50
19:51
people the the under-promise
19:55
over-deliver has time and time again
19:57
been one of those things we’ve all heard
19:59
maybe people are like rolling their eyes
20:00
like
20:01
my gosh not that thing again but I
20:03
didn’t do this for eight years in fact
20:06
that my agency i over-promised and
20:08
under-delivered and it was always we
20:11
were always churning clients we were
20:13
always losing clients and when I flipped
20:17
it and sort of under sold our services
20:20
which we kind of do a design t’kul I’ll
20:22
turn away a lot of business or will will
20:25
will cancel clients because they aren’t
20:27
a good fit but when we when we under
20:29
sell an over deliver then we have
20:32
massive retention and that’s been the
20:34
name of the game for our growth is
20:36
actually retaining our clients who come
20:38
back month after month and use our
20:40
services because because they were
20:42
expecting or they had a bad experience
20:44
with the areas of design and they came
20:47
into our tool and they’re like wow it
20:50
just works it’s like yeah oh my gosh
20:52
it’s amazing you just work how about
20:54
that so that that’s a super super
20:58
general thing I’ll tell you one really
21:00
hyper specific thing I was actually on a
21:01
mastermind this morning when I’m
21:02
involved in and we were talking about
21:04
this I knew nothing about Facebook Ads 0
21:10
I couldn’t even build any time a pretty
21:12
tech-savvy guy I knew nothing about it
21:13
and when we started out the first six
21:16
months I took as many online courses as
21:18
I could about facebook ads and learn the
21:21
tool inside and out and now I’m not when
21:25
we consider myself an expert but I can
21:26
build and manage a team around it so it
21:29
allowed me to grow horizontally in my ad
21:32
strategy and I think that that concept
21:36
of learning the tool yourself first and
21:38
then building a team that you now can
21:40
hold them accountable it could be for
21:42
facebook ads it could be for your tool
21:45
with quick funnels it could be for
21:47
anything but that has been huge because
21:50
I can had I not have that experience I
21:53
probably would have wasted a lot more
21:55
time and money trying to find someone to
21:56
help me not really knowing you know how
21:59
to manage them or how to hold them
22:00
accountable totally understand agree
22:03
with that were completely so as you’re
22:05
as you’re building that accountability
22:07
and working with people on that again
22:09
you do a lot of Farr’s outsource and
22:11
you’ve got a company with people
22:13
literally all over the world
22:14
how do you manage that well first and
22:19
foremost even though from a legal
22:20
standpoint they’re contractors because
22:22
under international we treat everybody
22:24
like an employee there is massive
22:26
culture within our company and we have
22:29
tools like slack as well as the new
22:32
facebook workplace which is like a white
22:34
label facebook that you can implement in
22:36
your organization that we use to kind of
22:39
have everyone together on this comp this
22:42
event we’re doing next week I mean we’re
22:44
we’re we’re getting 50 people together
22:46
in a beach town and outside of Manila
22:49
that’s not a cheap event to host and
22:52
yeah so we’re investing in our team no
22:56
different than if they were we were all
22:58
here in Scottsdale Arizona and that that
23:01
to me has been that is one of our like
23:04
killer secrets of that about design
23:06
pickle because look anyone can hire
23:08
designer and resell their time that’s
23:10
not a concept that’s for and that’s what
23:12
a lot of agencies do but the commitment
23:15
the culture the passion that we have are
23:17
our vision is to change lives through
23:20
creativity and we live that every day
23:22
it’s all because of our investment in
23:25
our team and in each other and and as an
23:28
added a distributed remote team and
23:30
workforce that I could we couldn’t do it
23:33
without that focus so cool I hope again
23:38
we’ve tried to do that same thing as far
23:39
as even a culture within our own we have
23:43
the same situation that you have most of
23:45
our love our support everyone else or
23:46
contractors there fortunately live all
23:49
over the world hasn’t even work from
23:50
home they’re able to actually build and
23:52
and help support us because they’re very
23:54
passionate about what we do but I think
23:56
the main thing we’ve tried to do is well
23:58
it’s really tried to build that that
24:00
really tight-knit community as far as
24:03
those people who work with us and I
24:04
think it’s that I think at least for our
24:07
users and everything else we’ve been
24:08
able to really maintain a very cohesive
24:10
and really congruent message to our
24:12
people who are out there as well as
24:14
those who actually work with us I love
24:15
that idea very cool yeah yeah yeah and I
24:18
would say to like it’s fine Anna silly
24:21
and and and uh haha look at look at
24:24
people dressed up as a pickle which we
24:25
do all the time and we
24:27
literally handout pickles by the way if
24:28
you’re at the conference come by our
24:29
booth will be having real pickles we’re
24:31
hanging out it’s it it attracts a
24:35
certain kind of person that enjoys that
24:37
and they actually are people who we want
24:40
as clients the guy or the gal who
24:42
doesn’t find someone dressed up as a
24:44
pickle funny I’d prefer they don’t sign
24:46
up with our service because they’re
24:47
probably a pain in the butt to work with
24:49
oh so it’s actually like a filter in our
24:53
sales funnel as well having such fun
24:56
creative marketing because it ends up
24:59
attracting like our clients are awesome
25:01
and they’re so fun and they’re so
25:03
creative and they’re in every industry
25:04
imaginable because they they it’s like
25:07
they got attracted to us but that we got
25:09
into them so don’t think because you’re
25:12
in you know this is not just about being
25:13
outlandish or silly for silly sake
25:16
there’s a real strategy to it especially
25:17
if you want a business where you work
25:20
with your ideal clients your marketing
25:23
the brand and everything you do should
25:24
should should attract that in whatever
25:27
way if you’re marketing and brand is
25:29
super boring and kind of rough and
25:31
unthought not thought out well guess
25:33
what kind of clients you’re going to
25:34
attract yeah totally agree yeah I think
25:37
that’s probably the biggest problem a
25:38
lot of people make when they first get
25:40
started is even even afterwards notice
25:43
with the intense and I think you know
25:44
what I I’ll take on anybody and I had
25:47
seen in our business it is so much
25:49
better when you can turn business away
25:51
because they just aren’t a good fit and
25:53
don’t be afraid to do that I know it’s
25:55
actually helped us grow a ton just by
25:57
telling people no yeah oh absolutely
26:01
well right if you get kind of closer I’m
26:04
chardon price yes Russell you’re kind of
26:06
close to wrapping things up here I
26:07
wanted to kind of find out is there
26:08
anything else you really rush wanted
26:10
make sure people heard about or felt
26:12
anything about design people they need
26:14
to go rest I mean honestly we we nailed
26:18
it if you’re clear curious about our
26:20
service or just want to see a fun pickle
26:24
themed rock and roll marketing go to
26:26
design cycles com / rock there’s there
26:30
you know anyone who goes there and fills
26:32
out the form and comes to one of our
26:34
events clickfunnels we’re going to be at
26:35
a bunch of others to this year you will
26:38
free t-shirts we actually took like
26:39
famous rock and roll
26:41
ole and and music t-shirts and redesign
26:43
them as designed pickle ones so so
26:46
that’s what will be given away and and
26:49
just to say hey and you know if you have
26:50
a question about our brand or a
26:52
marketing or the business in general
26:53
we’ll all be there we might be a little
26:55
gel act from coming in from the
26:57
Philippines but we will we’ll be there
26:59
in full force and we just sort of really
27:02
pumped up to to connect with the rest of
27:05
the clickfunnels community we’ve met a
27:06
few the employees now we’re excited that
27:08
to see to see the real people behind the
27:10
tool we’ve got 1500 funnel hackers there
27:13
will be at our lack of live events
27:14
there’s a couple of weeks that are
27:16
designed to see your stuff so tell me
27:18
one last thing I was curious about
27:19
notice I even saw on the design
27:22
tickld.com poor / rock page where you
27:25
actually put in t-shirt size so how do
27:27
you use t-shirts to build your your
27:29
culture I he I’ve always had the same
27:33
brand like a band and it is like and it
27:39
actually was one of the inspirations for
27:41
a rock and roll thing but even before
27:42
that flag t-shirts fun things that that
27:47
just are about the brand most businesses
27:51
don’t do it and it’s crazy because if we
27:53
think about the brands were the most
27:55
passionate about sports teams musicians
27:57
all this stuff they have ways for people
28:01
to rep their brand and and so that same
28:04
brand like a band is something we use
28:07
now it’s a very literal interpretation
28:09
this year with the rock the jar theme
28:10
and our booth looks like a merch table
28:13
to be honest that’s that’s it’s going to
28:15
look like the merch table from the
28:17
concert but um t-shirts are one of those
28:20
things and especially to reward those
28:23
people who are really invested in you
28:26
and trust you to say hey here’s
28:28
something fun and and we love you know
28:31
getting flag from our partners to and
28:33
clients we get them sent to us all the
28:35
time and we help promote and wrap each
28:38
other it’s it’s simple it’s easy and and
28:41
a lot again for whatever reason people
28:43
don’t do it and it’s blows my mind
28:46
obviously we totally agree we send out
28:49
at first it was only just a few hundred
28:51
features here there we are literally
28:52
sitting out thousands of t-shirts every
28:54
single month and I’m amazed at what it
28:57
does for culture I mean our culture has
29:00
just been crazy he built because of it
29:02
and it’s actually been fun for us where
29:05
we silly has been I look at people send
29:07
me pictures on facebook or stuff where
29:09
they’re literally all over the world and
29:11
they’ll run into somebody who’s got a
29:13
funnel hacker sure not or I bill
29:16
funneled or your leadpages clickfunnels
29:19
shirt or vision top click closure it’s
29:22
just crazy to see e because we even use
29:24
our t-shirts to poke fun at our
29:25
competitors and if it’s been a lot of
29:29
fun and I think the teachers have been a
29:30
great way i love how to brand like a
29:32
band what a great theme there’s a
29:34
blister hey I got one more thing is just
29:37
a message for Russell obviously a great
29:39
game great name for him but the next
29:41
time you see him let him know we have a
29:42

29:46

29:50
one specially for him ready to go know
29:52
what he will that will make sure I get
29:54
it for will make sure you stop by for
29:56
