00:00
everyone’s russell brunson and welcome
00:02
to insanely late night
00:05
marketing secrets podcast so I am here
00:09
for watching this on TV I’m in the car
00:12
over there she is
00:14
Norah it is late same late
00:19
fact in one minute it will be midnight
00:21
here and I will have to take yours on a
00:23
very special marketing secret so the big
00:29
question is this how we’re entrepreneurs
00:31
like us we didn’t cheat and take our
00:33
venture capital we’re spending money
00:35
from our own pocket how do we mark it in
00:37
a way the left-half see our products and
00:39
our services and the things we believe
00:41
it out to the world and yet still remain
00:44
profitable that is the question and the
00:47
podcast will give you the answers my
00:50
name is Russell Brunson
00:51
and welcome to marketing speakers
00:52
[Music]
00:56
alright everybody so hope you guys are
00:59
doing amazing so right now my little
01:03
baby nor and I are on a mission it’s a
01:06
secret mission to get her hopefully fall
01:09
asleep
01:11
we started weaning her off a bottle
01:14
about a week ago before I found the
01:15
vacation so that is so much nicer than a
01:17
bottle on this trip that was the good
01:20
idea Honora but what we did think about
01:23
was the fact that
01:26
she’s a saint and now she’ll go to bed
01:29
at all so she won’t take nap since her
01:31
naps happen where she finally passes out
01:32
today basically we go back to the lake
01:35
when I was on vacation I’m on Lake and
01:38
he’s cooking tonight and then and then
01:44
she would fall asleep and we’re driving
01:46
back forth finally like let’s go to sort
01:49
of buy something for dinner cycling back
01:50
she passed out and she slept like three
01:52
hours
01:53
she so be a Mitchell about the national
01:55
anthem and so this is the second night
01:57
in a row last night is also out driving
01:59
until midnight 12:30 so sleep last night
02:03
so it’s 12 o’clock right now hopefully
02:06
in less than 30 minutes she will be
02:08
asleep but I am on vacation having a
02:12
good time and if you listen to my last
02:14
marking seekers podcast that talked
02:16
about how vacations can be soaked it can
02:19
be really tough for entrepreneurs is not
02:20
it it’s like we’re moving is no momentum
02:23
we’re kind of just stuck in this spot
02:25
and so that’s somewhere that I
02:27
definitely feel that the most
02:30
notification is if I also hard make some
02:32
psyche I think you got stuff to do
02:35
people that people see these places to
02:37
go and and actually was interesting as I
02:40
was packing the carbon I was about to
02:42
leave you know between like hiking stuff
02:45
in and out of the car and everything I
02:47
was just checking Facebook as
02:51
interesting there was a friend who I
02:54
don’t guess seen him anybody last time
02:58
we talked honest it was like in
03:00
elementary school remember sixth grade
03:02
it’s got a funny story
03:03
sixth grade we were like moving these
03:04
big huge boxes and I remember he had
03:06
this big box and he dropped it I don’t
03:08
know why he would remember this for him
03:10
saying the super-embarrassed he dropped
03:12
his box of stuff and he was saying some
03:14
day this is the real thing people
03:15
remember me by I remember that one day
03:17
you drop this wig a huge box and I’m
03:19
everything that was really really
03:20
interesting in now so he was 30 years
03:23
later didn’t think I remember that day
03:25
is kind of funny but anyway they got I
03:28
remember he was in junior high I was in
03:29
high school but he was a basketball
03:31
players wrestlers really
03:32
to pass the law but I knew who was in
03:34
the group in elementary school my
03:36
respect for him and everything and when
03:38
the book of faces came out Zuckerberg it
03:42
was kind of fun to go back in thanks
03:44
remembering our high school high and
03:46
elementary school friends and people to
03:47
wrestling and all the aspects you like
03:49
mr. Adam on Facebook you know so he was
03:52
my name is popped up years ago and you
03:54
know I had him in and then hadn’t got
03:55
much more about it and every ever fly
03:58
Solveig posts from him so I tend to use
03:59
a little boating student but not a lot
04:00
just kind of knew that you should you
04:03
know it is his job or business must
04:06
clear a couple times and and just make
04:09
you having a lot of success and remember
04:13
something like last Christmas or
04:14
something posting something really
04:16
negative I was just like I guess felt
04:17
bad for him it’s also those things that
04:20
it’s weird when I first started my
04:23
business started learning about
04:24
entrepreneurship it certainly has self
04:26
means my all this world became open to
04:30
me I remember at first I wanted to kind
04:31
of share with everybody and I did I
04:34
tried to share my friends my family
04:36
members people at church my like
04:39
everyone bumped into us so excited I
04:40
might ride told us this day way that I’d
04:43
learned how you you know and I was so
04:45
excited I was shared every single person
04:46
and was so mind-blowing and the most
04:48
people just I thought oh cool yeah
04:51
tonight I know you understand it’s not
04:52
just nice like did I eat on it was so
04:55
frustrating for heated but it but it’s
05:00
just funny cuz like that was like I
05:01
always tried to change everybody and
05:03
save them and help them because I
05:04
thought like that was what I’m supposed
05:05
to do and I’m after a couple years I
05:07
realized that most of people actually
05:09
not people I ever tried to help ever
05:10
doing the venomous this really
05:12
depressing to me so that’s when I
05:14
shifted back and start doing the
05:15
business for a long time and I think it
05:17
got into coaching because I wanted to
05:18
share and it was cool to start coaching
05:20
people because like people with common
05:22
people who
05:23
was there I did firstly came to me to
05:25
learn how to do it make those who I
05:26
could roll like a leg hope and I can
05:28
change because they had the desire first
05:30
right and so it’s because I’ve been very
05:34
cautious than the last decade in my life
05:36
going out of a way to talk to people
05:37
about the supplements they raise the
05:39
hand first right and so I saw him last
05:41
December say something I just like I
05:43
could sort of ice my spot to say things
05:45
like same thing and then hey as we were
05:48
leaving I was just going to Facebook to
05:52
get a pack of cars and you know
05:53
something nice you know you as you do it
05:56
well I’m looking for work when I see
05:57
this post from it was this long pulses
05:59
it gave had a negative thing he’s
06:01
talking about of course you’re
06:02
struggling and like try make money and I
06:04
all these things that I think he said
06:07
the last year I made $25,000 all that
06:09
and now it’s going to make the entire
06:11
year and I’m usually struggling and he
06:14
was trying to like better things for his
06:15
family and for his life and first wife
06:17
and for like all these things can figure
06:19
it out as frustrated it is kind of Benjy
06:22
he did Nora
06:25
she took you back there David smoke fix
06:29
it anyway and and I fell for my just
06:33
like to say something why not
06:35
and whatever reason I decided every
06:38
Johnson I just like hey man like the
06:41
problem we’re talking like 20 plus years
06:45
I don’t know if you remember who I am
06:49
but like the problem is like you’re all
06:52
folks in the right scene and he wrote
06:55
and I was like like I could help you but
06:58
like say I don’t want to want kind of in
07:00
true like something I might my business
07:02
like I could help you I know it’s wrong
07:03
like please fix I was like in the last
07:06
you know year house in two years we hope
07:09
you know at middle coach over 200 almost
07:11
sort of people now from the millionaire
07:13
and you know thousands tens of thousands
07:16
of people make hundred thousand dollars
07:17
in more in here so like I know the game
07:20
you know I know what takes what it
07:22
doesn’t take and I look at things like I
07:24
said no I don’t that guy who’s like it’s
07:27
like and I said some like that and then
07:29
my next blog post was like pick up
07:32
cigarette I was like and I’m not trying
07:34
to pitch you on some mental and like
07:35
that somebody my honest he’s like if you
07:37
want help I can help you to know what’s
07:38
wrong and he was like really like yeah
07:41
what I want to I want to know it so it’s
07:44
like actual my I told a couple things
07:46
and I said that if you if you do those
07:49
things and I’ll do is I’ll record a
07:50
podcast you are on my trip
07:53
kind of going into more detail and last
07:56
like three days thinking about that I’m
07:57
excited so that’s what I’m actually in
07:59
right now and I hope it’s a benefit for
08:01
all of you guys because I think for most
08:04
school they’re stuck like it’s not
08:06
something that you need to it’s not
08:08
doctors I think like our situations
08:10
unique it’s not as a pattern as how’d it
08:12
happens over and over and over again and
08:13
the key like breaking patterns is
08:16
recognizing it at night realizing what
08:17
the crack pattern is replacing so like
08:19
it it’s not hard it’s just it’s hard for
08:23
the first time most people go through
08:25
personally it’s so like anyway so that’s
08:29
kind of the context so I just want to
08:31
share kind of this message is really for
08:34
him I’m not going to go super specific
08:36
by thing gonna be help refer for
08:37
everybody and a little bit typical
08:39
people I talk to in this podcast are
08:41
people who are entrepreneurs already and
08:43
this is kind of a guess or someone who’s
08:46
that on that line between like like the
08:50
job maybe and the entrepreneur I like
08:53
that line right where it’s like you’re
08:54
not in fluid on to preneur running this
08:56
way but you’re struggling up with job
08:58
thing you’re coming in between that’s
09:00
what this podcast is for it’s like
09:03
all right so with that said I’m
09:05
interrupted so the first thing that I
09:08
can told him this message I said all
09:09
right first thing is you’re focusing on
09:11
the wrong thing as I wasn’t focusing on
09:13
like perfecting my craft and just kind
09:15
of some perspective he’s the industry’s
09:19
going into like simply trying to do
09:20
movies and videos and all that stuff
09:23
right so he’s like one I’m focusing on
09:25
I’m getting better at my craft and I’m
09:28
also doing a lot of networking this way
09:30
okay yes so you are completely focusing
09:32
on the wrong few things you’re focusing
09:34
on things helping you better you’re
09:35
staying but as like you have shift your
09:37
focus to making money and that’s that’s
09:40
a weird concept because I it’s something
09:43
like I remember the first time I had
09:44
that epiphany like I need to learn how
09:46
to make money I was in school and I’m
09:48
learning all this crap and I’m looking
09:50
at the stuff I’m studying and I was like
09:52
I’m not actually learning how to make
09:54
money I still remember I learned my
09:56
biggest gripes with college so I took
09:58
two semesters accounting in two
10:00
semesters to finance and they never
10:01
worked I knew your own taxes say insane
10:04
school sucks anyway throw that out there
10:07
for those who are wondering I talked
10:08
about the whole thing but it’s crazy
10:10
like the fact that they don’t teach you
10:13
that thing right and I rise you know
10:14
like I’m not learning how to make money
10:16
here in school and I started studying
10:17
like how to make money was interesting
10:20
how how different was right like it’s
10:24
not it’s not what you’re learning in
10:26
school and now fast forward things been
10:29
seen it’ll be my 15 year anniversary
10:31
like a month from now we got married a
10:34
year left to school for like 14 years
10:36
whatever I’ve been graduates in school
10:38
so kind of looking back on it now from
10:40
this side so I’ve four stop sign there’s
10:44
the furthest up life business stuff
10:45
latest stuff space
10:47
nor still awake anyway so as I look at
10:53
it now from this Lanza looking back it’s
10:56
interesting like like a lot of times we
11:02
want something right like I remember
11:03
growing up you always hear your parents
11:05
people say like hey you got to get a
11:07
good job so you can go to school seeing
11:09
a good education so you can make good
11:11
money right like we all hear that like
11:13
that’s like a famous parents say a lot
11:16
all right
11:16
and so we assumed that like those two
11:18
things cones I like good job good
11:20
education equals more money but not
11:24
necessarily like now they look at it
11:26
again from my perspective you know
11:29
fifteen year and 1415 years later it’s
11:33
interesting for I was thinking about
11:34
this a lot of last Tuesday’s especially
11:36
like if you want it’s not looking like
11:38
the structure of how people make money
11:41
because because that’s one me but
11:44
there’s places you make money those
11:45
places you don’t in most places where
11:48
folks are like he said I hope saying any
11:50
better my skills network you make he’s
11:51
focusing on something that’s good but
11:54
it’s not making money and so I’m gonna
11:57
start the top so
12:00
the top is like a pure entrepreneur ice
12:02
on top of business lay like a hierarchy
12:04
chart I can boom the top is like the
12:06
entrepreneur who starts the business
12:07
right and typically at least the offers
12:11
I like to work with that entrepreneurs
12:13
who are passionate about something but
12:15
they’re mostly passionate not just about
12:18
that thing or the passionate about
12:19
getting that thing out to people right
12:21
that’s what defines an entrepreneur okay
12:24
if you have abs read the e-myth by
12:27
Michael Gerber he talks about well you
12:29
know what happens with a lot of people
12:30
so the things are entrepreneurs I like
12:32
they they get a job at a bakery shop and
12:34
start baking cakes
12:35
I see the visual always a bakery shop
12:36
and they’re like this guy’s an idiot I
12:38
can be better than him and what Michael
12:40
Gerber says is that they have an
12:41
entrepreneurial seizure and then they
12:43
they say I’m smarter this person I’m
12:45
going to make you so they start their
12:47
own bakery he said the problem is
12:48
they’re not actual entrepreneurs they’re
12:50
a technician
12:51
so there’s somebody who’s in the
12:52
business who’s doing it right like
12:54
they’re making the bread they’re making
12:55
the cake they’re making the stuff that’s
12:56
oh but they look at the entrepreneur
12:58
thinks an idiot and so they say if they
13:00
have the entrepreneurial seizure they’re
13:02
they decide they want to get on sure
13:03
then tho happen to start their own
13:04
business and there’s I can make bread
13:07
better than anybody else or whatever I
13:08
can make cakes and they’re passionate
13:09
about the thing and they create this
13:13
business and what happens to this
13:14
business fails this was like whatever 90
13:18
plus percent failure rate of businesses
13:21
because it’s its technicians it’s people
13:24
who think that the key is the same okay
13:29
they think that the cake is what runs
13:31
the business they’re passionate about
13:33
the cake by the creation of the cake
13:35
then arsenic that’s not the business
13:37
with the business the entrepreneurs job
13:39
is be passionate about getting the cake
13:41
out to as many people as possible that’s
13:43
where the money’s at right and so that’s
13:45
where most businesses fail it’s not
13:47
natural entrepreneur running it it’s
13:48
someone who had an entrepreneurial
13:49
seizure and is a technician who’s trying
13:52
to do that thing that things that they
13:54
tear start a business because of it okay
13:56
so
13:58
my first question for you for everyone
14:01
list is like are you a entrepreneur and
14:03
out the good news is we go deeper this
14:05
old Gallagher’s process and cross the
14:07
path there there are ways to make money
14:10
not as an entrepreneur in a business
14:12
it’s not where you probably sleep that
14:14
they are a lot of things bit anyway I am
14:17
sticking for example I the doctor I like
14:19
doctors make good money like like how
14:21
many times here I get to a doctor make
14:23
good money or a dentist to give good
14:25
money right so like those those people
14:27
make but make good money but not like
14:30
like there’s no limit to your income
14:32
money right because the doctor is a
14:36
technician right this happy highly paid
14:38
technician Law School your things go
14:39
into it looks like but there’s still a
14:42
technician right there not entrepreneur
14:44
they have a state of definite capital on
14:46
their income growth always and so just
14:49
depending on what technician you pick it
14:50
to the say you’re going into two company
14:52
to get a job I like you’re tapped by the
14:54
earning potential of that of that role
14:56
you take on right if you’re a doctor if
14:58
your dentist if you’re a baker if you’re
15:01
a support person if you’re like whatever
15:03
like your capitulate whatever that that
15:06
that thing is which is fine it’s just as
15:08
knowing that like that’s where kind of
15:09
capped at right you want to cap the
15:11
first spot year look at me an
15:12
entrepreneur but to be an entrepreneur
15:14
you have to understand it’s not being
15:16
passionate about the creation of a thing
15:20
that’s being passionate about the
15:21
selling of the same okay there’s big
15:24
reason why I read the expert I wrote the
15:26
extra secrets book because typically
15:29
experts who are really passionate about
15:31
their topic are also passionate at you
15:33
the topic out okay by definition they’re
15:36
entrepreneurs because they’re they’re
15:37
trying to get the message out about that
15:38
scene right they own the baker they make
15:40
the cake but the more said about telling
15:42
people about the cake like that’s what
15:44
makes them successful entrepreneurs
15:46
typically so I love working with experts
15:47
okay alright so there’s the top of the
15:50
car around getting out of no-man’s land
15:53
now um that’s the top of this why don’t
15:58
we call a pyramid scheme of business cuz
16:00
with your club but the entrepreneurs the
16:02
top right and it has almost a look at
16:05
bygones favors person makes all the
16:06
money but also the people have to risk
16:08
all of everything right so
16:09
entrepreneurship is like scary thing
16:11
because like
16:11
you have the know or earning potential
16:14
on top but you also want to like all the
16:16
risks on your back and for a lot of
16:17
people you can’t just go out there do
16:18
Cumberland remedial II especially if you
16:21
have a wife and kids and things like
16:23
that okay because you have to have
16:25
security here so like there’s a huge
16:27
jaraguá with people who are up who have
16:29
entre knurl desires but they also have
16:31
the security needs between their
16:32
families so it’s like that’s a hard
16:34
thing to go and gamble just jumping
16:35
again I’m going to tell the entrepreneur
16:36
and so I understand that so watch out of
16:38
the entrepreneurs it’s not the first the
16:41
first place we but I feel super blessed
16:43
I started my entrepreneurial journey by
16:46
the time I met my wife and and I was
16:50
able to do a lot of things because she
16:51
was supporting I was going to school we
16:52
have kids and have all of it if we
16:54
didn’t have this need for security at
16:55
the point that I was getting started
16:57
which I’m so grateful for I have so much
16:59
respect for those who stepped in the
17:01
entrepreneurial role when they have all
17:03
those things because it’s so much harder
17:06
so yeah so it’s always easier to start
17:09
being on to risking everything you don’t
17:10
have wife and kids and things right and
17:13
it’s that’s kind of one thing so that
17:16
that’s one spot case so again there’s
17:18
different places and make money couples
17:19
there’s the best spot right that’s may
17:21
not that’s why that’s one spot as the
17:22
entrepreneur at the top right all right
17:25
so that’s number one then underneath the
17:28
entrepreneur inside an organization
17:30
there’s got to be the technicians that
17:31
people doing the thing right instead of
17:33
people baking the cake so dy cleaning
17:35
the T exact people cutting the people
17:37
open ok the technicians right and so
17:39
technicians this is what’s schooling
17:41
actually but like the only reason why
17:42
schools actually good is because it
17:44
creates technicians right so if you want
17:46
to come a doctor you have to go to
17:47
school
17:47
you want to be able to drill teacher to
17:49
go to school if you want to go to Baker
17:50
if you are become a
17:52
butcher baker candlestick maker I don’t
17:54
even know any profession under the tutor
17:56
Stram is limited here the faculty scary
18:00
but any any profession that there’s like
18:02
that’s what school is for and so when
18:05
you want to school yoga that you’re
18:06
saying okay like any major just let it
18:08
go after like there’s kind of an
18:10
Associated salary that range that you’re
18:12
going to fit into right and sometimes is
18:15
big like doctors make good money but
18:17
like you’re always kavik a technician
18:19
will always be cab by definition of what
18:21
they are okay you just you are like and
18:25
so if you’re coming into a business here
18:27
I’m a technician looking at this I keep
18:29
your cat like your salary account okay
18:32
so my friend who’s doing the video stuff
18:33
like you what you looking for jobs in a
18:37
business that are that are this base to
18:42
technician rights like so again you say
18:45
is post like you makes you making emails
18:47
where by thousand dollars last years I
18:48
hope the reason why is because the need
18:50
that you are fitting inside whatever
18:51
company you’re trying to plug into like
18:53
that’s what they got budgeted for that
18:54
some so you’re able to make like you
18:56
like your cap you can’t you can’t go
18:59
above that right this work for hours for
19:02
days right if somebody find another
19:04
company that’s a bigger budget it’s like
19:06
that’s another thing and that’s okay
19:07
there’s nothing wrong with the
19:08
technicians just understanding like that
19:11
that they did there’s a salary set for
19:15
that thing there’s a budget set and like
19:16
and and and that’s where what happens
19:19
right the goal of a business is not to
19:23
make the technicians wrench
19:24
I had a finance teacher at Boise State
19:26
say what like most teachers I had it in
19:30
school we’re always like what’s the job
19:32
of the business like Oh to create jobs
19:33
and to stimulate the economy and like
19:35
they always have this like
19:37
happy-go-lucky tree-hugging attitude
19:41
about business right and this one
19:43
finance teacher so the only goal of the
19:45
business is to make the owners money
19:48
that’s it if the entrepreneur the owner
19:50
is not making money the border tractor
19:52
whatever whoever running it we’re gonna
19:54
make you money business dies like that’s
19:56
the only purpose and only point of a
19:58
business is to make you entrepreneur
20:00
money like never understand that view
20:02
the technician there is no desire for
20:05
anybody if you make more money than what
20:07
your salary is now doing to find
20:09
entrepreneurs and like in my company I’m
20:11
very compassion towards people and I
20:13
love what they do and I like crazy
20:14
things about salines for people in my
20:16
coming incentive plan but happen for the
20:18
most part like like you’re kind of like
20:21
as a technician here you’re in that that
20:23
range so you understand if you’re going
20:25
to school like that’s the earning range
20:27
are going to be in are you okay with
20:29
that if you are then cool go for it like
20:31
and that’s that’s awesome
20:33
but don’t complain later when you come
20:34
back like I’m not making what I want
20:36
like well you picked a profession you
20:38
picked your technician you pick this
20:40
piece and that’s all it’s worth doesn’t
20:43
matter which school we went to I was
20:44
time and effort you could enjoy like
20:45
like that’s what that task is worth to
20:48
the entrepreneur so you understand that
20:50
okay so technicians but they’re
20:52
essential to a business and they need to
20:53
be there and that’s what colleges and
20:55
universities and programs are all
20:56
created to to create those people and
20:59
those people are 40 but again that’s
21:02
kind of the pros and the cons of that
21:04
now guys look at this flip it over
21:07
she’s asleep who’s 12 19 so the good
21:12
side
21:13
let’s applaud yes madam three hours long
21:15
now she’s asleep otherwise could’ve been
21:18
a really long one anyway hi so there you
21:19
go entrepreneur unlimited potential tons
21:22
of risk and the the role the reason why
21:28
not to prove you’re successful because
21:29
they’re passionate about the selling of
21:31
the thing getting the message out not
21:33
just message right not just a short
21:35
baking cakes the passionately cakes in
21:37
many people’s mouths as possible because
21:39
they’re assessed with the end product
21:40
right that’s the difference okay they’re
21:43
not sirs to level down in this pyramid
21:45
is the technicians who are the ones
21:47
doing the jobs to make this whole thing
21:49
happen
21:50
super essential but have huge earning
21:53
caps of in depending on what technician
21:56
role you pick depends on your ernie cap
21:58
can there’s one more spot and this is
22:01
the spot on everybody understand because
22:03
this is the other spots out of company
22:06
where you have no earning potential
22:08
excuse me so don’t give no earnings
22:11
ceilings you have unlimited earning
22:12
potential scratch that I could have been
22:14
a really bad mess of the whole thing
22:16
you have unlimited earning potential
22:17
literally the sky is the limit and that
22:21
last piece so we have entrepreneurs and
22:24
technicians and then a third are the
22:26
rainmakers there are people that make it
22:29
rain there are people to breathe leave
22:31
and money the business the rain makers
22:35
now entrepreneurs love rain makers why
22:37
because they make a rain is understand
22:40
that like
22:41
like stats The Seeker sauce now most
22:45
technicians don’t understand that
22:46
because all innos like I wore to school
22:49
to learn this thing to do this task and
22:51
they do it they go in and they do it
22:52
okay but the person that is that they
22:55
get rewarded the most outside of the
22:58
entrepreneurial company are the
22:59
rainmakers typically in most a lot not
23:02
and almost like a lot of businesses that
23:04
that I own I’m involved with the
23:07
rainmakers Law Center are entrepreneurs
23:09
who who maybe if they would have started
23:13
their entrepreneur journey ten years
23:15
earlier like they would have been the
23:16
officer in the business but whatever
23:18
reason they’re not it’s okay because
23:19
they they can have what has long
23:21
intrapreneurs like like in the in their
23:24
role the company like they have the
23:26
ability to grow and expand as much as
23:28
they want okay because the Rainmaker so
23:30
so what do they do they make it rain
23:32
they bring in then bring in customers
23:33
and they make money right they bring
23:35
money it’s like a company so if you look
23:37
at this from them from an outside
23:38
perspective like if your sums up like in
23:41
college terms it’s like marketing in
23:43
sales marketing bring people in fill
23:44
takes their money right like that’s kind
23:46
of that’s kind of what it is right and
23:48
and it’s funny because I don’t learn was
23:52
even like like most technicians like if
23:56
you go to school details of each one of
23:58
yourself versus what like you could boy
24:00
the viewpoint or even like marketing I’m
24:03
in marketing or I’m in sales the
24:05
technicians there are ones who I was
24:07
like look down on take a lemon doctor
24:09
like oh well I’m a blonde ik they look
24:12
down on the rainmakers because they
24:15
think it’s like it’s like a sub or
24:17
whatever it is they think it’s like not
24:18
as good or not as big to fight or
24:20
whatever well then our stand is like the
24:22
rainmakers make the money okay it is the
24:24
most dignified most important position
24:26
in the entire company without the
24:28
rainmakers the technician has no job
24:29
okay that’s what I’m bringing people
24:31
into your business and then getting the
24:34
money from those people there’s nobody
24:36
that should be a technician to you make
24:38
a makes you want but some do did not
24:40
bring those people into the store and
24:41
take their money they’re not going to
24:43
take their not going to buy a cake
24:45
is the most important role in the
24:47
business outside the entrepreneur
24:48
recessive initial risk to to get it
24:50
going right and so even though the
24:52
technicians talked down on us marketing
24:54
and sales people it happens to be the
24:56
most important role every single
24:58
business can do you tell when businesses
25:00
are stupid when on the recession’s
25:02
company Karthik they cut their marketing
25:04
team they could have their self scoops
25:06
it’s insane to me I had a chance in my
25:11
life to lift through one of the rest
25:12
sessions the whatever 2008 thing ever do
25:14
and I had a bunch of friends who I can
25:17
marketing job that they were making a
25:19
reign for a company the company start
25:20
struggling so they cut the market you
25:22
know I’m like here and say you’re not
25:24
good by cut the technicians they don’t
25:27
do anything like they don’t cut here the
25:30
blood coming into your company like
25:31
marketing itself is the blood it is the
25:34
rain like the rain makers are the key
25:36
chemical so rain makers they don’t have
25:38
a ceiling okay in most businesses
25:40
nowadays okay especially if you become
25:43
good at it and not like a little bit
25:44
good but really good you have to come in
25:46
so I can bring in eliminates for you
25:48
guess what they’re going to do they’ll
25:49
give you anything you want all companies
25:52
need it neatly
25:53
doesn’t you need they need sales okay
25:55
they need to take those leaves and turn
25:57
them into cash to turn them into money
25:59
okay that’s how they don’t turn against
26:01
a it’s not the ignitions get paid is by
26:02
the rainmakers bring you people in
26:06
taking their money like that’s it we can
26:08
try to be romantic about it but that is
26:10
it you guys like it understanding if you
26:12
want to be if you want to be wealthy and
26:14
we’re talking about like making a good
26:16
income as a technician because you can
26:18
do that again go to school that’s not
26:19
you want to make you become wealthy
26:21
become rich you want to make a lot of
26:22
money to shift your focus for becoming
26:25
good at being a technician shifting your
26:27
focus to understanding how to make a
26:30
rain if you can make it rain in the
26:32
business you are infinitely valuable ok
26:35
this technician you’re only valuable as
26:37
that task is to the person to the
26:40
company right ok and they know they got
26:42
a budget for it ok so there you go so
26:45
like if you work at a company like hey I
26:46
do video but guess what they have a
26:49
budget for that leg cool we pay video
26:50
guys three bucks an hour full bucks now
26:52
whatever it is right it’s 20 bucks an
26:54
hour
26:54
a my friend and make become these
26:57
working for they save budget twenty five
26:58
grams that’s all the money you’re able
27:00
to get because you’re a video person
27:01
right your commodity instead of how
27:03
about technicians their commodities
27:05
understand they’re like there’s funny my
27:10
sucker my sister the other day here at
27:14
our family vacation whatever and CGC
27:18
piano lessons and I love my sister she’s
27:20
I honestly probably my top three
27:21
favorite people on planet earth and
27:24
anyway said she teaches piano and she’s
27:27
like I’m so busy I can’t publish the
27:29
answer will we should double your prices
27:30
she’s like I can’t have my prices like
27:32
why not
27:32
she’s like couple things first off like
27:34
my double my price level is half my
27:35
people are like can you lose half your
27:37
people you double the money in each get
27:39
get double the free timing same amount
27:41
of money so if I can’t do that because
27:42
you know that’s like the set price where
27:44
people charge panel lessons where I live
27:46
so if I raise my price let’s go somebody
27:47
else I speak is your commodity I’m like
27:50
like as I guess how much people paid for
27:54
like marketing consulting advice and I
27:57
don’t know I might need either I know
27:59
that like I don’t look like a rails
28:02
charges in charge the same thing I
28:04
charge the most I possibly can for
28:06
example today we had somebody who
28:07
contact our office and want to do a
28:10
one-day consult and I was like I don’t
28:11
have time for one day console and then I
28:13
go how much would it would it cost
28:15
so I told Brent on my team as I told one
28:18
hundred grand and we’ll get and they can
28:20
do eight hours with the Boise and I’m
28:21
going home at five o’clock and I would
28:23
be my kids and he’ll I should tell us
28:25
you like they wouldn’t say yes that
28:27
right and then he went to pitch it to me
28:29
came back right 5 mins letters like they
28:30
said yes but there you go run why I’m
28:34
not a commodity when you are a video
28:35
person here at commodity when you are
28:37
any type of technician to our commodity
28:39
Kate you are a doctor you are still a
28:41
commodity because guess what those
28:42
articles long and he’s better than you
28:44
less expensive than you whatever they
28:46
they can replace you with the other
28:48
person because you are a commodity
28:49
okay the rainmakers are not commodity
28:52
I guess we have to understand okay the
28:54
rainmakers are unique because I
28:56
understand something that that they
28:58
can’t just learn in school all right you
29:02
know how to get in and I in especially
29:04
in school because there’s no school that
29:06
I know of yet teaches a marketing
29:08
program it actually is good okay so
29:09
there you go so if your school trying to
29:11
come alright maker like you should drop
29:13
out today your RV technician stick in
29:15
school you’re a maker assembly okay
29:17
other than if your school light on
29:19
please if you’re trying to support
29:21
that’s why I was in school like do that
29:23
you’re trying to get find a beautiful
29:26
spouse like great place to be
29:28
great-looking women and probably
29:30
good-looking that I got no idea but I
29:32
like that’s a good spot to be a
29:33
technician and should be at school but
29:36
just so you find yourself then leave
29:38
like it’s time to go if you want to make
29:39
it rain it’s time to go okay
29:41
the rain makers are the ones that are
29:43
not a commodity okay there’s no cost
29:46
associated like you won’t budge that out
29:48
but I don’t know like okay how would you
29:50
like psyching the company of my hate all
29:53
right so I’m gonna build you guys a
29:54
sales funnel and this funnel its
29:57
potential to bring you on the leads for
29:59
forever and you know make you up in
